Jack's Family Grocery

I am friends with G and talk about his store all the time. Just two days ago I was in the store and seen the Spartan/Nash rep going through the shelves to pull near expiration items from the shelves and put in markdown baskets. He puts a lot of work into his meat case and really tries hard to do the best he can for his community. The people that work there put there all into this store and I think it shows!

Love the new owners! They mixed up some beef breakfast sausage for us and it was delicious! We came back and ordered more! They have ordered items we have requested in the past to stock on their shelves. One time I didn't have enough money for the ice cream my children wanted and they let me come back and pay the rest the next day!! Worth paying a little more than walmart just to get that kind of customer service!!

Friendly employees. Cheeper bottle gas and higher quality than others. I have long hair around 12". And I find employees and customers don't care about the hair and wild clothes. The best part is when children smile when they see me and wave.

For a small store prices were fine. Staff was polite.

We were referred to the backery at Jack’s by a family member a year or two ago and have always been so happy with both cakes and cupcakes made here. This past weekend, 7/8/23, we had 200 cupcakes done. They were fantastic! They asked what our theme was…it happened to be lemons, they have never disappointed us and again, they were absolutely wonderful! Thanks to the people in the bakery-everyone commented on them, they were darling and delicious!!!

Small Hometown grocery. Owner works very hard in a challenging environment to keep it up.

Always nice to me, always greet me when I first come. They are more than willing to help me find what I need. If they don't have what I want they will do there best to try and get it for me as soon as possible. Good family oriented store. They were nice to me from the first day I came to town. Has been one of my favorite places to shop. They are family owned and it shows. Very good people, always happy to shop there, they really seem to care about my needs.

The staff is great! They have my favorite beer cooler.

Very clean store newly remodeled nice selection stuff to buy. Steaks and burgers look fresh. I suggest if you're in the neighborhood in cold water you will want to stop in and purchase your groceries . I bought 4 long johns filled with Bavarian cream they were high quality ingredients and taste. Overall I would have to say it was a very good store I just happen to stop bye accident and then turn out to be a delight

I didn't know they had such "up north" grocery stores this far south lol. Has just enough to cover all your needs, plus some store baked goods and store made meat items. If I could afford it, I'd shop here 90% of the time, but like most small groceries its more of a gap bridge between gas stations and a full on grocery. Damn you Meijer and Walmart for being so cheap. These independently owned stores are the best.

This is a small town grocery store and with every small town store, things can be a bit pricey but the quality of the food is exceptional! When I'm in a jam and need something ASAP, I go here especially for the meats omg they are delicious cuts! Very very kind and helpful employees and they even help take your items to your car. The world needs more people and places like this!

Store is always neat and organized. Fresh meat prices are comparable to other grocery stores. I have found items that I can't even get at big box stores. Some prices are on the high side but the convenience makes up for it. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The cake decorater does a phenominal job.

Jacks is a family oriented grocery store. For the size of Jacks you have the same variety as any larger grocery store. You might be able to find brands you thought you'd never find.
I myself am a dedicated Hellman's girl, but living in GA I was turned onto Dukes mayo. I thought I would have to wait till I went down south again. One day low and behold I see Dukes mayo. I was thrilled. Try it ladies.

Best Grocery Store in Town! They have things that even the big grocery chains do not. Though sometimes their prices are slightly higher, it is better then driving 20+ minutes to get to another bigger grocery store.

First time there today just moved to the area.... everyone was super friendly the checkout talked to my kiddo and had a whole conversation with me. Nice to be made feel right at home and welcome!!

Great owners and clerks, all helpful and curtious. Small in size, but always carries what you need and if they don't stock it; they'll order it. Best family owner and local grocery store ever. Come and see.

Thank goodness for Jack's! Keeps us from having to go all the way to Battle Creek or Coldwater to get something if we need it quickly! And we can take the golf cart there! Love Union City!

Been going here as a child since the late 70's when it used to be behind Merchant's. The boss lady once cashed an out of state check for my mom.

Will go here before I am forced to go to Coldwater.

Smaller than what I'm used to, so not as many options, but they have all the bases covered, and the staff are super friendly! It was kind of like stepping back in time! 🤩🤩🤩
