Harvest Host for the night off Route 66!
This gem of a place isn't far from town (about 3 miles) and has some of the best chocolate and tea!
Our host, Amy, was gracious enough to allow me to watch her and her mom make caramel for apples and candies! She showed me all the different items they make and sell and chatted with me for quite some time.
This is a great stop if you are near Route 66 in IL and love chocolate, herbal teas and ointments! She has 3 acres of beautiful area/garden that she allows her guests to roam around, with a walking path! Pet friendly too!

Definitely worth the stop!

What a great gem this is. Lovely place to see how small batches of candy are made. I dare you to not walk out with less than 4 different kinds of candy. Very friendly staff and you can get even get a short history lesson about this wonderful area.

Here is a wonderful mother-daughter top-notch candy store. There is a bit of a drive into the country (less than 3 miles), but the drive is worth it. [Below are pictures of each turn from southbound I-55 to the candy store].
The candy selections include several chocolate varieties. We purchased three different chocolate choices and all are wonderful! We also bought peanut brittle and my wife just loves it. The prices are quite fair for homemade, handmade goodies. The ladies who own, make, sell, and promote the candies are super friendly. This store is wonderful!
