Campbell Creekside Outdoor Center for Environmental Education

It is a beautiful location. The caretakers have done a wonderful job of making it an educational location. It is also a peaceful location to take a walk and and just hang out.

Nice rural location with various environmental projects and educational opportunities. Great location for artist to paint as well.

I came in with low expectations, but was blown away by what I saw as I walked the trail system, and checked out the built features near the gravel parking lot.
The prairie restorations have a lot of the natives I'd expect to see, and only a few weedy non-natives from cropping history. The woods were equally intact. I was expecting a wall of honeysuckle and hedge apples, but again, only a few stems of honeysuckle. The trails offer views that almost made me forget that if I turned my head, there would be a cornfield. Being able to see the exposed strata along the creek was also a welcome sight and habitat.
My only negative was the koi pond and use of non-native waterlily species in that area.
I will return since the quality of land management here beats the other "nature" area parks in Lincoln.

Nice peaceful private place to enjoy the day. Boardwalk trail and dirt trails near the creek. Many natural, and nature displays.

Not far out of town. A nice place to go relax, learn and observe nature. My husband and I love to take nature pictures. I love to capture flowers, bees, and butterflies. We are yet to go have a weiner and smore roast and watch the sky.

With the closing of Lincoln College, this Center is no longer open. If you go down the road to it, it is gated off with no tresspassing signs. So sad, I always loved going out here to be in nature, hope someday they will re-open it.
