I tried to buy a car from them, negotiated a price I was happy with and asked for a purchase and sales agreement. They gave it to me, first with the wrong price but graciously revised it to the number we agreed to. So I made plans to pick up the car, got the loan issued, insurance policy in place. I called the dealership to confirm everything was a go with the sales manager and he tried to increase the price by $800 due to a ‘mixup’ on their end. He then looked for every reason to blame me for their mistakes, even though they sent me the purchase and sales agreement for the amount we agreed to.
I would advise anyone to shop elsewhere for a new car, these guys are more interested in playing games. Games at best, willful deception may be more likely the case.

I recently needed to find and order some parts for my car. I knew what I needed for part just not the exact part numbers so on July 14th I called Thompson Mazda. I spoke with someone on the phone and gave them year, make, model and VIN number of my car. Then explained to them which parts I needed. They started to try and look up the diagrams to verify the parts numbers. Their computers were experiencing issues that day and were running slow. After not having luck getting the computer to work they hastily took down my number and told me they’d call me back when they had everything sorted out. Not once did they ask for my name. I never heard back from them at all and eventually had to order online from a dealership in NC on July 22nd. Still to this day never received a call back…..I’m glad I didn’t wait. One star customer service from me and from now on I’ll order online and pay for shipping.
