Candlewood Suites Elgin NW-Chicago, an IHG Hotel

The beds are very comfy. Rooms are clean. Full kitchen. Quiet. We are staying 10 days and it’s been very nice. Good location. Staff is responsive. We have had no issues. Good stay.

During my recent business trip to Elgin, Illinois, Candlewood Suites emerged as a sanctuary of comfort. Thanks to Mr. Yogina, the check-in process was a easy and painless. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The accommodations and attentive staff make Candlewood Suites Elgin a standout choice for travelers seeking both comfort and excellence.

The property is very convenient. Directly located off the highway and takes just minutes to get work and near by food locations. We typically don’t use Candlewood but this has been a pleasant experience. My company highly recommended and I’ve been impressed. I will return.

We were displaced from our home and they accommodated us with 2 rooms on main floor so our dog didn't need to go Elevator. Rooms clean and Beds were exceptionally comfortable so my sleep wasn't disturbed.

The hotel and room was clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally helpful. All in all my stay with my dog was very enjoyable.

Everything is 5 star. Beds are comfy. Rooms are clean. It's convenient to be able to cook. Also has full size appliances. It doesn't get better than that!

Stayed here for over 7 months for work always friendly. Love that they have kitchen appliances to barrow, loved the free laundry room. Really saves on washing ! GYM was great. Only downside restaurants and stores are a little away. They remolded so very nicely updated.

Very good room and style. Back patio has 2 grills hooked up to a gas line. A/C in my specific room was not fully functional, I didn't complain though. Night shift employee is a solid guy with good work ethic. Day shift seems to be a gamble. Great location for business travel. Also the employees can help pretty good at restaurant advice. The best thing a Candlewood is for would be cooking your own food and feeling at home. Love the fact that dishes and silverware are provided. IHG has always done me well.

Has a slight issue after booking but it was quickly handled by the front desk during my stay. Appreciate the service

Kitchen availability. Staff was nice our 7 month project and really made our entire team feel at home. The location is convenient off the interstate but still maintains a quiet surrounding.

We were taking our toddler to see family, hours from home and hours from our destination. Suddenly, he started sobbing, then vomited EVERYWHERE - all over himself, the car seat, everything in the back seat. It was already a little late, so we stopped and went to the nearest hotel, which happened to be this one.

First, the negatives: the hotel is under renovations. This was never a problem for us - no noise, no mess, but worth mentioning. They do not have free breakfast.

Now the positives: this hotel is pretty friendly. The room was a little dated (will likely be fixed soon given ongoing renovations) but clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the sink and bathtub easily accommodated all the stuff we had to wash. The parking lot felt safe (my husband was outside scrubbing our car until late into the night.) Thankfully, they had washers and dryers, so we were able to clean off everything we could in the bathroom to remove the gross parts (clothes, car seat padding, etc), then wash it all in the machines.

The best part of this hotel, however, was the staff. They gave us tons of towels, were kind as I carried my very upset toddler through the lobby, and checked us in fast. Whatever they are paid, they all deserve a raise. Really dedicated to customer service and super nice people. Highly recommend this place if you happen to be in the area!

This place was incredible. I had a room here for 8 months while I worked on a job and I was very impressed with the cleanliness, quality and professionalism of the hotel. The appliances all worked great refrigerator was big. The rooms have recently been upgraded so it has all new furniture as well with very comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly, personable and helpful. For the price this is probably the best place you can find in the area.

This location is going thru a remodel (August 2022) and will be completed soon. Most of the rooms are done but there is still new furniture in boxes in the lobby. My room was partially completed and did not yet have both nightstands, only one. The room had a 2-burner stove, microwave, full size fridge and dishwasher and a small sink in the kitchen area along with all utensils, cookware and dishes. The bed was very comfortable and had nice large pillows instead of the smaller ones that some hotels are changing to. My only issue here was that they did not serve a breakfast. But, because they have everything in your room to prepare it yourself, I understand and accept that. The location was in a quiet area and was very peaceful. I will stay again if I return to the area in my travels.

My husband was there on a work trip for two weeks so I popped in Thursday-Sunday to Visit this hotel was clean. Free washer and dryer. They have a store that has all your basic food on site and they have several small appliances you can borrow. This is in an industrial area so you can’t walk to anywhere. One downside was you literally have to either let housekeeping in every single day or carry your towels and rags down to the desk and trade them for clean ones which is unsanitary.

This hotel has excellent service and the rooms are great!!

Had a wonderful stay there with family and pet. Spacious room, comfortable beds, great amenities for long term stay. Close to good restaurants and shopping.

I've been staying for a few years on a regular basis for business. They highly cater to the members of IHG club, as I'm sure they do for all guests. Normally get an early checknin when they can and Diamond Elite upgrades when available. The location allows me to get to OHare in 30 minutes or Rockford in 30 minutes. Great staff.

My Husband and I traveled from Texas to IL for a new job opportunity in the trucking industry. We planned on only staying only a few days but ended up staying over two weeks due to paperwork needing to go through. We a grateful that we chose this place because it was very clean, quiet, safe, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Specifically the Manager Haran he made our stay very comfortable and convenient. The rooms are equipped with stove tops, microwaves, and refrigerators. They even have toaster, ovens/crock pots you can borrow this really helped us to save money on not eating out every day.

So glad to have stayed here!
Very clean and quiet! Friendly staff! I give them five stars because this place really is amazing! They have a full kitchen that is super convenient, an awesome little workout area next to laundry room which is nice, as you can work out while washing! Also, you can borrow their appliances as needed that they have there, such as crock pot or toaster oven for example. They offer free coffee the entire day located in their shop they have which is also very convenient if you don’t wanna run out.
But 10/10 recommended to anyone needing somewhere to stay whether it’s a day or two or a few weeks or even months! Not a single regret with this place! Thank you Harin for everything!
