Great value for the price. Rooms are being updated but still in good condition. Staff is awesome and attentive. Pool is clean and warm. No restaurant options, but a small concession type area with snacks and bottled drinks.

From the moment we got here, it was warm smiles and a very nice welcoming. Their staff is amazing, from managers, to front desk to even the housekeeping. They go out of their way for whatever you need or request.
The room we are in is perfect, they do an amazing job cleaning it all the time, hotel is quiet, pool is great and we haven’t had any issues with anyone. Amazing lobby space to just relax and enjoy quiet time by the fireplace. We would stay here forever if we could!

Our family had a great experience staying at Sonesta! The room was clean, everything seemed to be well taken care of. The front desk was nice, when I asked for more towels, we got them immediately. It felt like a safe environment. We didn't have issues with hearing loud noises, or unpleasant smells. My only real complaint is that there was no microwave in the room, traveling with small children it would have been nice to have the ability to heat up our food.

We booked a room block for our wedding and it was the perfect fit! The Sonesta staff were very helpful in setting up the block, as well as offering shuttles to and from our venue for our guests. We even rented the meeting room, and the staff set everything up as a glam space for the bridal party to get ready in for a very reasonable price. The rooms were sufficient, but the lobby was cozy and spacious to hang out in. Very happy with our experience.

We stay at a fair amount of hotels but usually a Westin, Hyatt, or Hilton main property. I was surprised by the amenities and comfort at this hotel for half the cost of one I'd usually choose. The reviews are why I booked it, and I wasn't disappointed. Beds are comfortable, the room and everything I saw was clean and inviting. And the gentlemen at the front couldn't be more kind, that shouldn't be understated. This hotel is a little gem tucked off the road and will be our first choice when we return to the West Dundee or Elgin area. Just a nice stay. Zero complaints.

We chose the Sonesta as the hotel block for our wedding at the BRIX and they were so great to work with. We used their conference room for getting ready in the morning. They had mirrors, chairs and racks for dresses all set up for us. Their free shuttle is amazing to have for your guests. They were on time and nice enough to drive us to a bar after our wedding was over. Highly recommend using them if your wedding is at the BRIX!

Had a great experience here. They let me check in early and while I didn't use the gym or pool, both areas looked clean and well kept when I walked past. The staff I interacted with was also very helpful.

I reserved a room block at this hotel for my wedding. We also booked a suite for my husband and I, and we booked the meeting room for my bridesmaids and me to use to to get ready. Our suite was clean and comfortable, and the meeting room was set up perfectly for our hair and makeup team. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! It was such a pleasure working with Violet, Hannah, Martin, and Beverly. They were on top of everything and made sure we had a top-notch experience. The shuttle was perfect for bringing our guests to and from the venue. It also picked us up at Rosie O'Hare's at the end of the night. We loved our experience with this Sonesta, and I'd definitely recommend them!

I had a 2 night wedding block at the Sonesta in December 2023 (wedding at the Brix in Carpentersville). I would recommend anyone to use Sonesta. Great customer service, clean rooms, affordable rates, and top notch shuttle service for our wedding!

This hotel was only 8 minutes from my scheduled conference. It was very nice and clean and friendly staff.

We used the Sonesta in Elgin West Dundee for our Daughter's wedding at the Brix on the Fox. We had over 85 guests stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They happily gave out our welcome bags and answered any questions we had for them.

We rented a space to bring a continental breakfast in, as the breakfast bar was being renovated, it was a great space and the staff was so helpful. They did provide coffee, hot water, condiments, water, ice and serving items, as well as extra cups and flatware.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and easy to access. They have a nice indoor lounge area and a nice outdoor space a s well. There is a breakfast/lunch diner right next door as well as many area restaurants nearby.

They had a shuttle and they were so helpful getting our guests and us to/from the venue and the after party, even in the pouring rain!

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience! Thank you Hannah and your staff for all you did to make the weekend go smoothly!

Outgoing, friendly, professional staff. Entire hotel is clean, quiet and appears to be fairly new. Bed linens are higher quality. Only negative is no breakfast bar, which has become a hotel standard. But they have an area, counter set up for it. Complimentary coffee is available. Very pet friendly for an extra $25.

Rooms don't have a microwave, and no breakfast is offered !

I am writing this review because it deserves to be written. I travel for work and book over 300 hotel rooms annually. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. This is one of the most special places. The hotel itself is nice. The staff is nothing short of amazing. While I was there for work, every weekend had multiple wedding groups. In the midst of 40 to 60 people in the lobby, they would always see me and ask if everything was okay and if I needed them for anything. There are well staffed hotels, but few of them hit the next level. The staff here operates more as a family and go far beyond their responsibilities. Because of this, I felt as if I was family. Here's a list of very special people. Aaron, Nikki, Mario, Beverly, Rocco, Becca. I was at this location for 2 months because of my job. I've never been treated so well. They will always of course be in my mind, but more importantly in my heart. I hope corporate appreciates how lucky they are to have these people in their organization and together at this location. Very special.

Leaving this under my husband’s name as we stayed here to get ready for the wedding! First of all when they heard they upgraded my room. There was a small mix up with my reservation but quickly fixed and compensated with a bottle of champagne. Room was nice attendant’s were nicer. Not disappointed at all. Thank you Sonesta

The folks at the front desk were super nice and accommodating. They really made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were nice and the bed was comfortable. The pool was actually warm, it was great. We were so pleased with it the first time we came through that we decided to stay here again on our return trip. There's a good chance we'll be back as we travel through visiting family. I would definitely recommend this place.

Advised there are additional fees for pets. Room was good, nothing fancy but clean and a lot of room. Not a lot of grass for pet walking. They need a pet off leash area that would be a huge asset to this property. We would stay again.

TL:DR. Average hotel with above average cleanliness and large amenities(pool, fitness, lounge) and staff that is 6 out of 5 stars. Stay here if you aren't picky.

Sonesta is what most travelers will know out of a hotel chain. Inoffensive. The standard affair when it comes to room accommodations (though slightly dated at this location) with some standard amenities for toiletries and room appliances.

What has made this stay superb, however, has been the staff. Above and beyond attention to detail and a genuineness to their welcoming nature, I have found myself several times just stopping and chatting to them if they aren't busy. They are kind people and deserve all the praise in the world.

Beyond the staff, the large scale amenities such as the pool, fitness and large lounge are all fairly modern, clean and in good state or repair. There is a small Cafe for the morning breakfast and a convenience shop within. Above all else, beyond the pesky bits of dust hidden away behind several layers of furniture, this hotel is clean.

A few personal notes. Our shower head was a bit old and it showed in its lack of pressure, the beds are hard which for some might make it a difficult place to rest, and the TV channels are local cable, don't expect premium affair.
