Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago Northwest - Elgin

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Express, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
First and foremost, let's talk about the highlight of my stay: the hot tub. This hotel has one of the best hot tubs, and what's even more impressive is that it's always been in top-notch condition during all of my visits.
But it's not just the amenities that make this hotel stand out—it's the incredible staff. The housekeeping team is nothing short of amazing. Their attention to detail and dedication to their work is truly commendable. It's evident that they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms.
The front desk staff is equally outstanding. Always ready to assist with a smile, they go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a memorable stay. Whether it's accommodating special requests or resolving any issues promptly, their professionalism and friendliness are unparalleled.
What I appreciate most about this Holiday Inn Express is their flexibility and commitment to customer satisfaction. Unlike some hotels, they don't penalize guests for changes in plans or extended stays. Their willingness to accommodate individual needs without extra charges speaks volumes about their dedication to hospitality.
I have stayed at this hotel 4 different extended stays, once there was a bad smell in the room, the hotel staff handled it swiftly and efficiently. They promptly relocated us to a different room and had maintenance address the issue the very next day. It's evident that they prioritize guest comfort and satisfaction above all else.
In conclusion, I can't say enough good things about my experience at the Holiday Inn Express. From the excellent amenities to the exceptional staff, every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team for their hard work and dedication. You've truly set the standard for excellence in hospitality. Thank you for making my stay unforgettable.

Stopped in for Mother's day buffet. Great food, service and value. Was not as busy as used to be before covid. Glad to see buffets back.

Stayed here Christmas Eve loved the hospitality and layout so much that I rolled the dice 🎲 and booked another stay for New Years Eve 🎉.

Awesome vibes, very clean rooms the pool and hot tube are very clean. Having the restaurant attached to hotel was AMAZING 😻 for New Years. Partied my butt off, swam my butt off and ate like a lion 🦁 (Great Rib-eye).

We attended a family wedding on Jan 13th and the service we received was exceptional . The food catered by the hotel was delicious , the beef choice was tender and moist and all the other entrees was yummy. We stayed a couple of nights and from the checkin process ,to the breakfast buffet managed by Ana , to the clean rooms and comfortable beds , our experience was FIVE STAR rating and we will definitely have many more family events booked here. Convenient 20 minute ride to the airport is a plus ! THANK YOU TO THE MANAGERS AND STAFF ! We will be back !

Hotel was clean, comfortable, & quiet. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We are platinum IHG members so got a free upgrade, late check-out (thanks!), and were able to pick free breakfast vouchers as our welcome amenity (which was awesome).
We had a 1 king bed suite with a connecting basic 2-queen room. There was a separate sleeping area (but not a whole separate room) from the lounging area. You can see pictures.
The workout room was basic but nice.
The pool and hot tub were both excellent! The pool was truly heated -- probably just under bath-water temp (which is nice since it was January!). The hot tub was amazing, nice and big. Thanks so much for having one! So many places now don't.
Suggestions for improvement: If I was nitpicking, I'd say breakfast was "decent" but not great. Bacon was dried out. I would also add that the closing time of breakfast was too early (9:30). That needs to be kept open until at least 10 AM for late risers.
Having said that, overall I still give 5 stars! Would absolutely return.

Beds and pillows were amazing, so comfy and the linens smelled SO good, clean and fresh. They were so welcoming towards my husky dog. There was several grassy areas outside of the hotel where he could relieve himself, and a post with disposable bags for clean up. The room and bathroom were very clean. Our room had a mini fridge, coffee/tea maker and microwave. For $14 a person the breakfast buffet downstairs near the main lobby was delicious, hot and fresh. Kids eat free. The lady working in that area was so accommodating and nice. She gave us to go boxes so that we could take it up to our room. We also had a vending machine and ice maker right outside of our room. We booked through a 3rd party website and had no issues with checking in or out. Would definitely recommend especially to someone traveling with pets.

Having your room cleaned every day was unusual haven’t had that in a few years but besides an issue the first day with the keys was a great stay . Will return again!

My family had a lunch gathering there with family today. The service was outstanding. This team went above and beyond when it comes to service. Whoever trained this team knows customer care and should be proud of there team accomplishment.

My son and I stayed here during a weekend visit for an event at NOW Arena. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was clean and very nice. The bed and pillows were super comfy. We had no issue with the temperature of the room. The carpet in the hall was soft and squishy, I'm assuming to dampen the sound of people walking. We were not disturbed by any sound during our stay. Check-out was also very quick. I turned in my keys and the receptionist already had a stack of receipts ready and waiting for guests when they left. It took less than 20 seconds and we were out the door. My son said it was the best hotel he had ever stayed in.

Good place. Allows pets. There are many good places to eat around there and very good restaurants
at the hotel. Prices were good too.

Made a last minute reservation and they were really nice about it. Vonetta was super helpful with answering my questions, giving me a late check out, and telling me about all of the services they provide and all about the restaurant. I loved it there and will definitely be going back again. Thank you so much Vonetta you’re awesome!!

Both of my visits have been wonderful. The front test team is amazing. I have had the pleasure of working with Andrew both times. Andrew greets you with a big smile, he is friendly but professional. He quickly had us checked in and made sure the room was clean and ready for our stay.

Unlike other places the beds are fantastic. Super combfortsble and always leaves you refreshed after a long night of sleep. The room included a whirlpool jacuzzi, super relaxing and enjoyable.

All in all a great experience from check in to checkout.

I have to say that this hotel staff went way above and beyond what could be reasonably expected. My wife and son stayed just a week ago, and my son lost something dear to him that could've been easily overlooked. Somehow David, Bobbie, and Mike all coordinated to find our missing item, and send it back to Texas in less than a week. One phone call. No need to follow up or stay on top of people and beg them to help you. They just did it. That's almost unheard of today.

We've stayed here many times on our visits to the area, and always had good experiences. Even if there was an issue, they've always been polite and efficient in solving it. I would have given good marks before, but what happened this past week really touched my family and me. They could have treated it as something small and insignificant, and blown it off. But they treated us like we were a member of their family. They didn't have to do that, and we realize how fortunate we are to have had them looking out for us.

So a million thanks to David, Bobbie, Mike, and anyone else involved in the process that we don't know about. We're forever grateful.

I was there to meet friends and have dinner at the hotel restaurant, so I can only speak to my experience there and what I could see in the hotel lobby and the rest of the first floor rather than as an overnight guest. The restaurant was really great; the service, food, drinks, noise level, and overall hospitality were all top-notch and outstanding!

The hotel lobby and the first floor areas I was able to see all looked great as well. I had a few minutes to wait until everyone else in my group arrived so I had the opportunity to overhear a few staff to guest and staff to staff conversations nearby, covering a variety of topics from guest check-in and helping a guest with directions, to general hotel operations and staff coverage. All were conducted with respect for each other, serious professionalism, and obvious experience in both the hotel itself and industry in general. I have no doubt the guest rooms also reflect the ideals, experience, and professionalism of the staff and are also in top-notch condition. Keep up the great work!

The staff here were so incredibly kind and empathetic when my I, my partner, our cats, and all of our moving boxes packed up in a U-Haul arrived basically unannounced at 430AM after the hotel we'd originally booked turned us away unexpectedly. We'd been desperately calling every hotel in the area for over an hour looking for a place to stay after driving for 13 hours straight. We were so exhausted and relieved when we found this Holiday Inn. Not only did they welcome us with open arms, they were also helpful, gave us a discount, and allowed us to have a late checkout since we were so exhausted. At that point we didn't care about amenities or star ratings or even price really, we just needed a place to stay, but to our delight this hotel also ended up being one of the best hotels we've stayed in during a move - and we've moved across the country 3 separate times now! Thank you so much Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago Northwest - Elgin! And special thanks to Jeff at the front desk for taking such good care of us that morning.

Hotel is great location for work trips and has a large parking lot for trucks and trailers which is hard to find at hotels.

Best place to stay. All the fun in one place. Pricing is very reasonable especially if you are a rewards guest. Definitely will be back.

I've stayed at this hotel twice when they boyfriend comes down for the weekend. This front desk kid Andrew is the reason we keep coming back. He's so nice and very helpful. When my bf called to see if there was a certain room available- Andrew answered. And again top of the line service from this kid.
I hope this company knows how much of a great customer service he provides. Nothing but smiles and sincere. He was checking to see if the room was clean from prior guests- and gave us complimentary breakfast for the wait. Which didn't bother us cause we ate at bennigans. (Amazing food).

This hotel is my favorite when visiting family and friends in northern IL.
