Hampton Inn Chicago Elgin / I-90

This Hampton Inn is very clean, quiet, and a great option if you're in the Chicago metro area. Right now (July 2018) they are in the middle of a renovation including new rooms, exterior paint, fixtures, nearly everything. The work isn't disruptive to guests, and staff seems to be extra accommodating as a thank you. WiFi is reliable, but a little on the slow side during peak usage times. The pool area is clean, well maintained, and relaxing. The exercise room is clean and well equipped as well. Breakfast has a great variety and very well stocked each morning. The rooms are clean, quiet, and roomy enough for a longer stay. Housekeeping has been superb! I would absolutely stay here again!

I had a wonderful experience. I had a church retreat over the weekend of September 9-10, 2016, but I had a deadline for work. I had the whole afternoon and the whole following morning to work. I checked in around 4pm. About 10 minutes after I checked in, the front desk staff, Bonnie, called my room to see if everything was alright. Everything was perfect. I was able to use the wifi which was easy to get access and the whole time there, I was able to get work done without interruptions or noisy people in the hallway. The following morning, I had breakfast. It was delicious! Everything was clean and the lady that took care of the breakfast area made it feel like we were in a restaurant. She was very friendly made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this hotel was like being at home. It's not the kind of hotels where there is too much people are coming in and out. They treat you like if you were family. The only thing is, I didn't benefit from the pool just because I had to work but it looked so tempting to swim. God bless this business. I must applaud the management and the care that they give you and the location is absolutely excellent from restaurants to other lodging companies and especially right off the expressway you cannot beat this location I will believe that the only improvement I would say would be the rooms are outdated the linen looks to be in need of change or their washing machines are not cleaning it thoroughly.

the bathrooms are likely being wipe down with used face towels and not disinfected with cleanser most lodging facilities are escaping from using too much disinfectant due to higher costs after pandemic managing or micromanaging these essentials. Better bring your Lysol spray to cleanse the toilets and sink basin, a lot of lodging facilities allow pets and some pet owners are not considerate of others we have fecal matter infestation of fleas or ticks things that we don't want to take back home and God forbid bed bugs let's give credit where credit is due.

The only thing I seen here is dingy linen that most likely wasn't clean or changed out but all else was excellent. Be safe🙏

Clean...good customer service. And the rooms spic and span. Front desk was a little nosey. But doesn't necessarily mean that's bad. They just want to make sure there is no funny busy. Or simply being helpful directing people to the right room. Front desk called me and made sure I was expecting a visitor before allowing him to wander to my room.

The room was clean and spacious. Staff were very nice. The mini fridge in the room was convenient. Breakfast was warm and delicious. Fresh coffee in the lobby was also very nice. Items in vending machine are at a fair price which is nice if you want a snack.

Very clean and very very friendly staffed!!! Came in in the middle of the night and staff was amazing to us! Had a great breakfast for continental with eggs, sausage and two different kinds of waffles plus different toppings for the waffles!!! Will definitely stay again if ever in area!!!

This Hampton Inn had the most upbeat and friendly staff that I have met. They had great music going in the lobby, fresh hot coffee 24 hours a day, and it is next to the highway without being noisy. I never really use the pool or the spa when I stay at a Hampton Inn but the area seemed really clean and well-kept. And the beds were amazingly comfortable for a chain hotel. Had a great night sleep and overall my stay was extremely comfortable.

Great hotel. Great staff, very helpful and courteous. Recently remodeled. Clean. Fantastic free breakfast. Pool area is perfect for kids and adults to enjoy. Our daughters and families came into town for the holidays and it was a great place for them to stay.

Jocelyn, the manager, provided outstanding service, as did the desk staff. I needed to make a sudden change in my business travel plans, which was accommodated cheerfully and without incurring extra fees. There was never a question about whose needs were the priority - as the customer, I felt completely looked after. Recommend this hotel for value and service.

Fine. Worst thing to say - walls had marks from previous decorations that hadn't been spackled over yet. This had no bearing on my room's comfort level, just a little sloppy. The room's iron was also the best hotel-room iron I've ever used; plenty of steam and no dripping.

Eventhough they are in the middle of renovations this was a very welcoming hotel. The attendant that checked us in and also was the one to complete our check out process. She was genuinely nice and assertive to us. She even mentioned to show our keycard at the restruant Alexander's for a 10% discount. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. I really enjoyed my stay.

Very nice stay. The front desk staff was absolutely amazing! (Specifically Joslyn) Very passionate about their job and very outgoing! Every time I walked in, or saw someone walk in, the staff always had a friendly warm welcome.

Stayed over the weekend , Breakfast was really impressive young woman from the kitchen was very nice and offered us a highchair for my 8 month old , even tho she was very busy in the kitchen she offered to make us waffles as we werent sure how to use the waffle machine. Bobby from the front desk was also very nice and very helpful , the rooms could be better but staff like this makes me want to come back.

Affordable rates. Friendly staff. Nice amenities. Pool and hot tub. Very respectable complimentary Continental breakfast. Excellent service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

SO TO BEGIN😊...Originally we only needed to spend a couple of nights here. Due to unforeseen occurrence and circumstances, we did have to extend our time here. But if it weren't for the genuine kindness, generosity and patience of the Hotel Manager, Bobbi and of course Front Desk Rep, Larissa ...we certainly wouldn't be here now. With this weather on top of other mishaps...my daughter and I thank Jehovah that not only do we have a warm roof over our heads...but also a sense of security and peace after this crazy week. Even if just for a few days. To sum up this blessing I'll just say that this Manager truly demonstrated the definition of the phrase "Going above and Beyond". My daughter and I can't thank you guys enough and words certainly can't express how grateful and appreciative we are.

My family and I stated at the hotel for a mini vacation. We all had a blast. The hotel was very clean...the staff was tremendously nice, especially samantha at the front desk!! If I had to state a problem or concern....On the hampton inn website, we booked a smoking room...and when we got there, they stated that they no longer had smoking rooms...time to update the website. I would definitely recommend this hotel...responsibly priced and tons of fun!!

Very clean room and well-equipped. Nice layout. The staff were kind and courteous. Coffee was readily available and the was more than coffee and decaf, but I did not have any.

Clean rooms good breakfast easy access to area. Only complaint is the chair for desk was not same as other Hampton. Chair needs updating.

Breakfast served at 6 am every day. Large TV with movie channels and customer laundry on site.
