Dr. Kay McLaughlin, DO

Dr. McLaughlin is a very thorough and thoughtful physician. Excellent bedside manner.

THE OFFICE STAFF ARE VERY IN-PERSONAL AND RUDE AND DISCOURTEOUS. THE OFFICE NURSING AND RECEPTIONIST NEED TRAINING IN INTERACTING EMPATHICALLY AND WITH COMPASSION NOT THE CRASS/HARSH UNPROFESSIONALISM OFTEN EXPERIENCED AT THE OFFICE AND IN CONVERSATION OVER THE PHONE, HIGHLY LACKING ABILITY TO TREAT PT W/RESPECT, AND DIGNITY INSTEAD THE APPROACH IS TO TALK TO PATIENT IN A DEMEANING REPARTEE.
REFLECTS POORLY ON DR MCCLAUGHLIN

While we like Dr. Mclaughlin very much, her office staff is rude, unfriendly, incompassionate, incompetent, and in our opinion...dangerous. They can't get a simple question correct or even a simple message. They screw up information on lab tests and call to tell you results that were never discussed with the doctor. They have zero phone manors nor the ability to correctly even listen to what you have to say. When we asked the doctor what was going on in her office, she defended them as being extremely busy and blamed us for being short on the phone. Even told us to apologize to the office staff. That's when we decided we'd had enough. Since then, by chance, we met another patient of this doctor who left. He left for the same reasons...he no longer felt safe there. This office staff is giving Dr. Mclaughlin a bad reputation She does not deserve to have these people representing her. We found a new doctor 10 minutes from home, not 45. He has already questioned some of Mclaughlins diagnoses and meds. The new staff is friendly and helpful.
