Lamey-Wellehan Shoes - Augusta

My sister and I were in the Augusta store Saturday and we were taken care of by the sweetest, most patient and helpful sales associate (Sophia, I hope I got your name right)!! She was so kind and got us out the “tons” of shoes we wanted to try on. We ended up purchasing 3 pairs between ourselves and will definitely be making it our number one place to go when looking for shoes!!!

I always receive excellent advice for footwear. I appreciate their knowledgeable staff helping me find the perfect hiking boots to fit my needs, comfort, terrain, weather; unlike any of the big box stores.

Susie in Augusta was amazing. She was extremely personable and knowledgeable about shoes and inserts. She recommended me an insert that worked perfectly for my needs and was so quick to help me. I will be returning again next time I need a new pair so long as she's there. She made the whole experience worth the drive and I am so happy with the service along with the products she helped me to find.

This store is wonderful. The staff is very knowledgeable of footwear and care for the feet. Prices, for the brands they sell, are reasonable. Great section and quality foot apparel. We see Susie when we go to Lamey. She is terrific. Very friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied.

I went here yesterday and I just have to say, WOW! I went in looking for a pair of sneakers to replace my old pair and got to talking to a wonderful sales associate, Susie, about my orthopedic conditions. She was so helpful and figured out the best insert to use for my issues and her recommendations were so appreciated. Susie was such a tremendous help and made the usually boring experience of shoe shopping fun! I will be returning again. You can get shoes anywhere, but not service like this!

I went into this store yesterday and I must say, I had the best experience and also quite the education regarding the problem I was having with one foot. Sarah waited on me. She is a good listener as I told her that I was having pain in the arch of my right foot and irritation on one side. She said when I walked, she could see where the problem was as my foot was rolling. Needless to say, she explained why I was having the pain and although the shoes and arch supports I had on were a good brand, the arch supports were worn out and the sneaker wasn't the right one for my foot problem. She was very patient as I tried on a lot of different arch supports and walked around in them to make sure that I had the right one and was comfortable. Then we tried a different sneaker that had a lot more support in the area where I needed it most. I bought both and WOW, what a difference ! I am no longer having pain in that foot and am walking very comfortably. Sarah is very customer oriented which made my shopping experience exceptional. I definitely recommend this store if you are experiencing foot problems. As Sarah said, she likes challenges and being a problem solver and finding a solution. And that she does very well ! This will be my new shoe store going forward ! Thank you Sarah and Lamey-Wellehan !

Last Thursday my sisters and I stopped at the Augusta store to find good, support sneakers for me to wear with my ankle brace to heal my Achilles tendinitis. Immediately a very helpful, kind, compassionate employee ( if I remember right her name was Lexi) guided me to the Brooks sneakers as my sister wears this brand and loves them. Her expertise in helping me find a sneaker that fit comfortably and would support my injury was outstanding! I wanted a particular color which she had to get from another store then send to me. I was there on a Thursday and received my beautiful, comfortable Brooks sneakers Saturday morning. I love them and I’m already healing. I highly recommend the Augusta store and commend Lexi for her customer service!

Went in there today with my girlfriend and had a great experience. Sarah (employee) gave us so much good information on the shoes they had, and how they would fit our specific need. I used to work in a shoe store, and even still learned so much from her. Sarah took the time to measure and fit a shoe to my girlfriends size, that also offered support to all the areas of her foot causing her pain. Everyone was also so sweet :)

So for years now, between being in the military and having labor intensive jobs all my life, I’ve been experiencing chronic back, hip and knee pain. So I came in a few months ago looking for some new work boots and Sarah got me into some keen work boots with some insoles that seemed like they were made for me. Combine that with physical therapy and my chiropractor I feel like a brand new man!

And today because she was so helpful I came in looking for a set of running shoes and dress shoes. I worked with Lexi today and I think we’re going to have the same success with these shoes as well! I’m looking forward to the new opportunities these shoes have given me. Lexi and Sarah both were super helpful and knowledgeable and I will be coming back in. Cheers and thanks again!

I don't know if I've left a Google review before but I've always bought cheaper shoes in general.

Coming here I needed better shoes for my job where I'm on my feet all day and I'm tired of back pain at the end of a long day.

I'm not exaggerating when I say after only an hour wearing the shoes and insoles they recommended the lower back pain I'd experienced all week was GONE!

Customer service was also excellent, patient, and very thorough.

Sarah was amazing! Thoughtful as well as knowledgeable. With great insight into what would fit me best but letting me also choose at my discretion. I would definitely go back just because of Sarah!

Thomas was the Sales Associate I worked with and he was AMAZING! Definitely will be coming back here to purchase more. He was happy bubbly and did not get frustrated when I asked to try on another pair of shoes like prior experience at other shoes stores. There was a couple shoes that were not in my size and he brought out alternatives to show me and offered to ask another store which was amazing and all in all very happy with this experience!

Well unfortunately the first time I went I got a pair of boots I wasnt very fond of I went back a week later they took them right back and fitted me for the proper pair of boots for me. Cindy the store associate was extremely helpful and very patient with me and I am picky with shoes. Definitely will be my go to shoe store from now on

I was dreading the trip to Lamey figuring it was going to be a battle on an eight month old pair of Keene shoes. What a pleasant surprise I had when Susie agreed to not only replace them, but suggest a pair better suited for my needs. Lamey Wellehan will be the one stop shopping for future shoes

Great local shoe shop. The staff is knowledgeable and will do a fantastic job find a show that fits you better than you probably thought possible! I won't buy shoes at a department store or other hig-name shoe outlet ever again!

Excellent customer service! I visited them because they carry Altra shoes and was super impressed by the selection. Would definitely recommend!

Susie was a great help with picking out my new shoes and boots! This is my favorite place to shop for shoes.

One of the last places you can purchase good quality shoes. The staff is very helpful and willing to take as much time as necessary to find a good fit for you.
