Spivey Building

The first and only skyscraper in East St. Louis, on the National Register of Historic Places and located in the Downtown East St. Louis Historic District. Completed in 1927, vacant for decades, now owned by the US public through the National Park Service.

I'm not from this town but I am from Missouri and I would be nice to restore this building to get its full potential out of it

Reminds me of the apartments in Camden, NJ, almost identical!

Had an appointment at 13:13 hours (that’s military time folks) on the 13th of the month in suite 1313 of the 13th floor at the Spivey Building. I guess something bad must have happened because when I showed up there were only ghosts roaming the building. Not a single living soul. Elevator was out of commission and I wasn’t about to hike those 13 raggedy and most likely unsafe flights of stairs. I said bag it and headed in to work instead.
