Colonial Chapel, Ed and staff were very professional, courteous and helpful during this most difficult time. My mom's service was March 1st. We worked with Ed, he was very kind and compassionate. I would recommend Colonial Chapel to anyone.

Amid all my thoughts about preparing for my wife's funeral, I was put at ease by Ed and his staff. They eased me through the process with great kindness and professionalism.
My wife Lynn"s viewing and service was done so well and just perfect. My wife looked wonderful and the setting was all that asked for and more! Ed and staff, from the bottom of my heart I give you my thanks and appreciation. Blessing and may the Lord Jesus continue in your ministry to those of us who grieve!

Colonial chapel was extremely compassionate during our time of loss. They were responsive at all times, professional with the utmost respect at all times. Everything they did was first class, and everyone we dealt with there was professional and first class. We would recommend them to anyone in the future.

Mark, Ed, and all the staff were so tremendously helpful, kind, caring, and professional in helping us make all the arrangements for my husband‘s funeral. They go above and beyond in how they work with and treat the family in their difficult time of grief. They were very much a blessing to all of our family.

I can't say enough how pleased we were with Ed and his staff at Colonial Chapel. He made a very difficult time for our family go seamlessly. He sat down with my mom, brother and I the day after my dad passed. We went through the service, ordered flowers, memory cards, thank you cards, obituary, newspaper ad, talked about life insurance, cremation, all of the details. The entire wake & service was going to be at our church, but Ed was there the entire time at the church. He guided people where to go, helped us during the wake with questions we had. Had our photo video displayed beautifully. In face, Colonial Chapel put together the entire video from our still photos we uploaded, set to acoustic music. Everyone commented on it at the church.

And Ed is still following up with my mom several days later regarding cremation details, etc.

This was a very emotional and extremely difficult time for my family who is very close. Thankfully Ed and his staff treated us with respect and warmth throughout the entire process.

I was very impressed with the services we scheduled here. Dave and his team were professional, caring, and had every detail set perfectly. I can’t express enough how lovely everything was and how simple they made the process. Death is never easy, but we felt like we were in good hands. I would like to express my gratitude to Ed, Dave, Mark and the staff at Colonial Chapel. The professionalism and kindness shown during our time of need was outstanding. My father had 7 children, 25 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. As well as many nieces, nephews and friends. When he passed, Colonial Chapel handled his services with ease and dignity. I was incredibly impressed with the cleanliness of the chapel and the courtesy of the staff. I would highly recommend.

I was so happy that my family chose Colonial Chapel for my father’s services. They were professional, kind and empathetic. Ed took care of all details including special requests and I liked the fact that we did not have to share the space with other families. I know it may sound strange but it felt very homey. We also appreciated that my father would be cremated at Colonial Chapel and not shipped to another location. I highly recommend.

Ed and his team were wonderful with the arrangements for my wife Sandy. From the beginning to the end their service was impeccable. They were consoling, respectful, courteous, and accommodating. The facility was clean and large with a comfortable setting. I am very pleased I chose Colonial Chapel.

I lost my dad recently and was dreading the funeral. Colonial Chapel & Funeral Home was fabulous. I can't recommend them enough. The day was very hard but the staff was so wonderful & they did an excellent job with my dad & setting up everything. They handled everything & made it very easy . Just lost our father, worst time of our lives. All of the staff here was amazing!! I really can’t stress enough how wonderful the staff was. They were extremely compassionate and went above and beyond. I know this is what they do for a living but they were truly compassionate and warm. They went above and beyond for us and handled everything! My Dads services were beautiful. The funeral home is beautiful, clean and cozy. Highly recommended. Colonial chapel handled my father’s funeral for us with the utmost compassion, respect, and kindness. Ed and his staff handled everything for us and it was all done beautifully. The staff are all friendly, compassionate, and helpful. We had a great experience during a very difficult time for us.

My dad passed away on January 1, 2021. He was waked at the Colonial Chapel. We could not be happier with the Colonial team.

Here are specifics of what you can expect:
1) They are very concerned about making sure your service is delivered to your specifications.
2) The staff all work together as a team. There was not one item that fell through the cracks. This includes, printing of prayer cards, service at the church, making sure everything was clean, special requests where tended to etc. This entire team worked as a unit and offered great suggestions.
3) Colonial anticipated a lot of the things that needed to be done and took action immediately.
4) They were never pushy. They made sure we got what we wanted, and if there was something we did not want, they did not ask twice.
5) They went out of their way to pick up items we forgot from my mom's house.
6) They were all very compassionate and caring.

You cannot do better than this group of people. They are a class act all the way around.

My family used Colonial Chapel when my Grandma passed away in 2015 and most recently in 2019 when my Dad passed away suddenly. Ed was very helpful and compassionate through the entire process, he made a difficult situation a little easier to deal with. My Dad was a huge gear head and Ed added a lot of extra touches to memorialize my Dad. There are so many things to think about on the "to-do list" when a loved one passes away and Ed makes sure you don't miss a thing. There are not enough words to express my satisfaction with Colonial Chapel. The care, concern, empathy and sympathy for both the family and deceased are beyond measure.
In 1995 Colonial Chapel held my dad’s visitation/funeral; some years later they then handled my FIL’s and in 2015 my MIL’s and mom’s within 4 months of each other.
Just over 8 weeks ago, Eddie took care of the arrangements for my husband; all done with compassionate and care beyond belief.
Eddie certainly made a very difficult time in my life much easier; wish I could give Colonial Chapel 10+ stars.

Everyone at Colonial was very Caring and Helpful during the loss of our mother. We prepaid for all the Funeral expenses and they ensured that everything was ready for when it was needed. It has been a year since Ed and his staff took care of my uncle. I have been to a lot of wakes and funerals and also been responsible for several of these but I have never been treated with the respect, dignity and compassion that Colonial funeral chapel gave us.When a family can relax knowing their loved is taken care of it helps the grieving part a little easier. Nothing but the best when death happens.

Our family was struck with the daunting task of finding a funeral home after our young daughter passed away unexpectedly. The internet did not provide any assurance our choice was going to be the right one. Thankfully, after my initial phone conversation with Edward at Colonial Chapel in Orland Park, I knew I had picked the best. Our family was highly impressed with this funeral home perfectly located away from traffic. Edward and his kindhearted staff tended to all our needs and any requests with compassion and respect. In fact, they went above and beyond of what one would expect. We were pleasantly surprised Colonial Chapel had a crematory on the premises. This provided our family a level of comfort knowing our daughter would not be transported from one place to another. I would absolutely recommend this funeral home to anyone who has lost a loved one. The funeral home is super clean, has an awesome kitchen and radiates a warm, comforting ambiance. Edward is attentive and considerate and will assure your loved one is looked upon with grace and dignity.

Unfortunately we have had the opportunity to deal with Colonial Chapel too many times throughout the years, and they have been phenomenal every single time.
I've dealt with Ed Sr. and now with his son Ed Jr. both ultimate,compassionate, professionals.
We had my brother's funeral there this past week. In trying to figure out this Covid thing and still pay tribute to my brother Dave.
We came up with the first drive by viewing that Colonial Chapel ever had.
It went off without a hitch, we had constant cars from 2:45 to 5:15, we estimate approximately 200 cars.
