What a lovely place to visit! Charming, quaint, unpretentious, and welcoming in every way! Owners Rhea & Tony are an amazing couple who put thought and care into their business and interactions with their guests! Cabin Suite had all the comforts of home and more, delicious breakfast, and attention to every detail. We greatly appreciated their graciousness and look forward to our next visit!

We stayed here for the weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Rhea was an excellent host and anything we could possibly need for our stay was available. The breakfast both mornings was perfect and more than enough food to fill us up. We’ll book this place again for our next Shawnee Wine Trail trip. Thanks Rhea!

Stayed for the eclipse and would love you come back. If you are definitely into wine, then you found a great place to stay at. Located fairly centrally, easy to find and great host! The cabin I stayed at (The Victorian) was lovely and very cute. Also if you are planning booking, get Rhea to cook the breakfast. You will not be sorely disappointed!

We stayed in the Log Cabin Suite. It was absolutely beautiful and very relaxing!! Rhea and Tony are very gracious hosts. The breakfasts we had were delicious and very filling. We will definitely be booking another get away soon.

We stayed in the Log Cabin suite and it totally exceeded our expectations. The innkeepers were not home when we arrived due to a family emergency, but they were gracious enough to still let us stay. They left ample instructions to find the place which is saying something, because it's very secluded. The room was fairly spacious with a large en suite bathroom including a whirlpool tub, shower and dual sinks. Lots of amenities were included like wine glasses, dishes and flatware, a Keurig in the common area down the hall and a wide selection of DVDs. The fireplace in the room puts out some serious BTUs. The only thing that was lacking was wifi, but it was also nice to be a bit unplugged for the weekend. We did not have breakfast at the inn because Rhea was not available, but the Giant City State Park Lodge is only a 15 minute drive away and they have a great breakfast menu. We really enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be returning for future vacations.

The log cabin suite at Shawnee Hill is such a special treat. It feels so cozy from the moment you walk in the door. We have enjoyed the scenic location each year as well. Our host and hostess have thought of everything and have designed a comfortable, restful, and romantic getaway.

We stayed at the Shawnee Hill B&B in the Log Cabin suite in late August. The B&B is nested in a secluded, serene, in a wooded setting. The cozy and very romantic log cabin room has a large bath tub, large shower, a gas fireplace with remote control, TV, DVD player with DVDs to watch, a sofa, a dining table, an outdoor deck with a fire pit, a barbeque grill and outdoor seatings. The bathroom was filled with all the wonderful Bath & Body Works lotions, body spray and candles that you can think of. In the common area connected to the log cabin, you can find all kinds of sweets, snacks, teas and coffee to enjoy. The Inn Keeper, Rhea brought us an amazing and most delicious homemade breakfast on a huge tray in the morning. We got the visit Blue Sky and Star View Vineyards on Shawnee Wine Trail. We also did some hiking in Giant City and Ferne Clyff State Parks and enjoyed the peace and beautiful nature. Rhea was amazing and so easy to work with! We look forward to our next stay :)

Cozy decor, beautiful 200 acres of forest to explore and many touches of hospitality. Our breakfast was served on a tray so we could eat on our deck: ample and tasty.

Shawnee hills cabin suite was beyond our expectations the service was amazing 😊 it was very clean and peace full and the breakfast was amazing both days the hosts where amazing and super nice made us feel very welcomed and has a beautiful setting I would recommend if you come to Southern Illinois to stay here you would not be disappointed.

Stayed here back in March this year and plan to be back for sure. Great price and beautiful place to stay for a getaway. Very close to lots of hiking trails as well.
