Tunnel Hill State Trail

Loved the trail! Great little park where you can spend the night if you are on the trail. Nice little diner down the street.

Absolutely stunning trail. Super easy to walk or bike.

The entire Tunnel Hill Trail is ninety miles of fine gravel. My road bike fared well on this surface. Wildlife abounded yesterday when I went. I saw two rabbits and two white-tailed deer literally on the trail--I saw a few rabbits and deer that were off the trail a bit, too. The trail is well shaded the whole length. The segment between Vienna and Tunnel Hill is very scenic and had noticeably higher traffic than the rest of the trail.

Great place to ride bikes or walk etc. Nice flat, level and well groom trail about 50mi long. It's a converted railway route thur woods, fields bridges over streams and quite atmosphere away from traffic.

Got to ride most of the section between Vienna and the Tunnel Hill parking area. Nice packed gravel trail though wooded area with views of creeks, small lakes, and various rock formations.

It’s a nice quiet trail to ride a bike or take a hike. Take plenty of water, and stay hydrated. ✌

Best bike trail in 5 states! The park at the trailhead has everything from playground to bathroom..and a stage. Might catch a concert or even a carnival ...

Awesome well maintained bike trail with plenty of rest stops and scenic overlooks! Only a 2% grade due to being former train route, not difficult at all!

Always clean, great local park for taking a time-out to take the kids and let them play, grab some lunch at 1 of the restaurants, or grab some picnic stuff from one of the stores. Come for a quick trip or spend the day walking the bike trail.

Rode from Vienna to the tunnel and back. Great ride on a hot afternoon. All shaded canopy for most of the 9+ miles. Beautiful trestle bridge and the tunnel was straight out of a horror movie set. Foggy and dark. It was fun and about 20 degrees cooler inside the tunnel. I’ve ridden the Katy trail for decades and this stretch of trail is better than any in MO. There’s about a 2% uphill grade from Vienna to the tunnel, so the ride back was a breeze.

Excellent trail. Mostly shaded. Not too steep. Well maintained. And most importantly,, no traffic. 👍👍

Simply beautiful. This old railroad line is the best trail. The countryside is absolutely beautiful. The trail is gravel, but it's so well used that it's compacted and easy to navigate. Saw plenty of road bikes today. Tunnel Hill is a must do trail for this region.

Nice park, nice trail. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms (with hot water!), and access to a magnificent trail. Definitely worth going all the way up to see the tunnel - the route is gorgeous and the tunnel does not disappoint.
