I bought my car from these awesome people at the beginning of the year. It's an amazing car and they gave us a great deal. They're very friendly and very straightforward. When considering safety, I think that they have a very good understanding and the prices are certainly reasonable.

These guys rebuilt the top half of the engine on my '02 Silverado (cracked heads) and saved me well over $1000 off the quote I had from a dealership in Ames. The old truck runs great now. Then they saved me another $1000 on front-end work that the dealership told me I needed. Good communication along the way, very honest.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Although it is a little out of my way, they are more than worth it. Their prices are the best all around. They let me use my own part. And they took my car in and out. Their quotes for the rest of the stuff that I want done to my car were simply the best I could find so I plan on taking my car there every time I need them. Everyone is extremely friendly and lets not forget how cute the dog is!

Family owned and operated. They treat you like family. They service all my vehicles and my family appreciates the time and care they spend to share with me what they are doing and why they need to do the work. Great prices! Friendly people! Fast service!

This review is long overdue as the people at Alden Auto deserve it. Corey, Mike and Anna have always taken good care of me and my old 2003 Honda Odyssey.

I was first recommended Alden Auto by my parents (JoAnn Coffey has left a review as well) who were visiting and had an issue. Since then, Alden Auto has always done quality work on my car at great prices.

Beyond the quality work though, Alden Auto goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. I had punctured a hole in my tire a few hours before I was to take a 5 hour trip back to my hometown. Upon calling Alden I was able to get the car in, have the tire patched and out quickly enough to not interfere with my plans.

Lastly, Alden is one of the most welcoming places I’ve had the pleasure of being at. Instead of having someone pick me up I’ve often stuck around while the car was being worked on just to chit chat and hang about. And of course to give Maggie (the coolest shop dog) some pets as well.

Corey, Mike and Anna, keep doing what you do. If I still lived in the Ames or Des Moines areas I would 100% still be getting my car serviced there.

Alden Auto, top best in the area. Honesty is excellent and reasonable with price for the jobs they perform.. Highly reliable... Bought an old GMC truck from Alden 2 years ago and it still runs excellent, very reliable truck from a quality top mechanic in the are.. Highly recommend Alden Auto.

I had an excellent experience working with Alden Auto. They provided prompt service. and pricing was than fair. Friendly staff/owners and a very clean facility just outside of Ames.
I was referred by another customer and will definitely return!

I have brought my car to Alden Auto a couple times and I am always satisfied with the service. They worked with my extended warranty company without issues. They communicate over text which is nice.

Corey is friendly, prompt, and affordable. He takes the time to help you understand the problem and what he did to fix it. I hadn’t yet found a reliable person to take my car to in Ames, so I always took it to a dealership. I’ll definitely be going back to Corey’s shop next time.

Reliable, quick, honest. They are upfront about everything and I have been going to them for a few years and always have excellent service. They also work with your budget and are very reasonable. They have become like family to me, and I've referred many people there who still go for services to this day.

They fixed what needed fixed, and gave me honest straightforward answers regarding whether I should make all the repairs it still needs or just trade it in. Excellent, trustworthy. I've had some awful experiences lately so would especially recommend for female drivers that are over being scammed!

Both Ann and Corey are super nice people. Their price is really reasonable and they are honest about what you need and what you don't need. Way better than those dishonest chain stores...Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Brought my Van in the get the struts replaced and they found a few other very important things that needed fixing. Pricing was fair and they took the time to explain to me the work that they had done. Definitely going back here!

Corey at Alden Auto was wonderful.
We are from northern Illinois and were just leaving Ames to head home after the Cyclones game on Saturday afternoon. My Odyssey's engine trouble light started blinking and the car was misfiring something fierce within 10 mins of hitting the road. At 3:00 pm, when most other repair shops were closed for the weekend, Corey Alden answered our distress call, got us in, diagnosed and repaired the problem, and got us back on the road home just after 4:00. He was kind, fair and honest even though we were in a pretty vulnerable situation (being 5 hours away from home). We now have a trustworthy mechanic in Iowa for my Cyclone son. I would recommend Corey for others needing auto repair. Thanks Corey!
