Boudreaux's Cajun Grill

We dined at Boudreaux’s (Boo drose) Cajun grill and really enjoyed our experience. We sat on the rear deck with a beautiful view of the bay. The food was very good and the portion size was huge. Our server was great, friendly and attentive. The decor and background music were also fun.

I absolutely love this place! The prices are high but you get what you pay for in portion and quality. This is my go to restaurant for a high end date night. My girlfriend and I started off with sweet tea and water and both were great. We got spinach artichoke dip and Stuffed Pistolettes, the spinach artichoke dip was very good and came with crunchy pita chips that are incredible. The pistolettes were made well and came with a mustard dip but were just not for us, nothing wrong with preparation or quality though. For an entree I got the Mardi Gras pasta which was amazing, it has a perfect blend of tastes and I am sucker for crawfish; I got red beans and rice as my side and it was great although a little spicy. My girlfriend got the grilled salmon which was the best cooked salmon I’ve had short of homemade. She got the crab and spinach bisque as a side and it was good but very soupy and also not our thing, similar to a hearty clam chowder though. Make sure you add the French bread for $1 with your meal as it is some of the best you can get, it’s seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert I got their bananas foster bread pudding which nearly brought a tear to my eye; it is the best bread pudding I’ve had in my entire life and there’s no competition. It is cooked perfectly and the bananas flavor is very subtle yet somehow steals the show, a must try. The service was excellent, we were seated after a 20 minute wait and despite the restaurant being packed we were frequently checked on and attended to by our sever and our food came out in a very timely manner. The inside seating is very cozy but you must sit on the balcony; it has a beautiful view of the Mobile Skyline, the bay, and the interstate ( it’s especially stunning at sunset). We paid around $160 after tip for all of this and although that may seem high the portions were all large and the taste was unparalleled. This is a must try restaurant for anyone looking for a high end night out.

Note.
It is very possible to have a great time here and have amazing food for a much lower price, their menu is not entirely expensive and we got dessert and two appetizers. You could easily have a great night for two for under $80.

The service is absolutely awesome and the food is always delicious and hot when the order is brought out to you. The atmosphere gives you that New Orleans feel. It's our favorite stop when we visit for Mardi Gras!

Hands down one of the best places I've been to eat. I went alone and sat at the bar. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back for date night.

First time eating here, and it didn't disappoint. Great food, atmosphere, and service. Even though they were very busy, we were seated within 15 minutes. The crawfish etouffee was great with all of our food being very reasonably priced. Definetly recommend...

The best artichoke dip and coleslaw I have ever eaten. Dinner was amazing with a great sunset view and our server was top notch!

The Bananas Foster Bread Pudding is to die for!!! It is easily enough for two but could also serve four. Everything we ate (fried green tomatoes, egg rolls, gumbo) was wonderful. The staff that we interacted with were all great, especially our server Chelsea!

My first time trying gator bites. It did not disappoint. Our waiter was phenomenal, he recommended everything we ordered. I loved the atmosphere. We sat outside and had a beautiful view of the water for about 20 minutes before the sun went down.
Drinks: Front Porch Nectar, Sweet Tea and I think a Southern Belle.
Appetizer: Blackened gator over rice
Soups: Gumbo and Crab and Spinach Bisque
Entre: Voodoo pasta with Blackened gator and Crawfish Etouffee

Brunch was fantastic as usual. Perfect service and delicious food. Had the Sesfood Cheesecake that didn't disappoint!
For a long time I wouldn't try it because it didn't sound appetizing. Boy did I get that one wrong. First you have to forget sweet Cheesecake as this is a savory dish. Almost forgot the pic, but managed to get the last bite 😂. Green beans were great as well. They weren't the, "squeak when you bite" type they look like. Perfectly balanced and paired excellent with the Bloody Mary and double shot of Jose Gold tequila instead of vodka.

We went for Mother's Day and had brunch. I ordered the eggs Sardeaux. My husband ordered a dish with grits, Conecuh bacon, gator sausage, and cheese, I think. Both were absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch, friendly, and quick. Those folks work hard for their tips, and they deserve every penny. They kept our glasses full, and the food came out steaming hot. We'll be back.

If you like Cajun or Creole style cooking, this is worth a visit. I like the grilled and blackened catfish, the Shrimp Creole Catfish, and the Blackened Chicken Alfredo.

This restaurant just made it into my top 10 restaurants of the south! I highly recommend. True Cajun fare…delicious, filling, good portions, fair prices, and be sure to try the sweet tea (adult beverage) - perfection! The deck overlooks the gulf and there is plenty of outdoor seating and ceiling fans. One of Alabama’s best if you ask me.

Boudreaux's always delivers amazing food and service!! We had a bit of a wait this time, so they actually gave us an appetizer on the house. The server was kind and food was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are great, especially the crawfish etouffee. Totally recommend anyone in the area to give it a try!

It was wonderful! Ate outside overlooking the bay view. Right up at the rail. It was cold outside, but they have the deck screened in and with ceiling nuclear grade heaters overhead it was toasty warm! Just an amazing armosphere..the cool air through the screen was lovely as the warm air from above almost made one too warm...but together it was lovely. Food was great! Server friendly and food was expeditious.

04/24/2024 - Lunch with parents. Excellent authentic cajun restaurant. I am from Louisiana and this is one of the very few authentic cajun restaurants I have discovered in Southern Alabama near the Gulf Shores area. We enjoyed the gumbo (very dark roux), crawfish etouffee, and seafood platter. 5 stars all the way around! I even noticed they did a few building repairs with duct tape.., yup, they are cajun!

My husband and I went to eat here for a date night and it was the perfect choice. The staff was very efficient, never skipping a beat. Our food came out in perfect intervals and our drinks were always full. It was my first time trying gator and it was delicious. I loved my pasta, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The red beans and rice was so good. Can't wait to eat here again, would love to try the brunch menu. Also we chose to eat indoors, but the patio and view of the bay is beautiful.

Sooooo gooood!!!! I'm not really a fan of the salad that comes with the meal, but, other than that, everything was absolutely delisshhh!!! The egg rolls were amazinggggg and so was the blackened chicken Alfredo. The Swamp Water is good, but be careful, it will sneak up on you!!! We had amazing service and our food came out quickly. 10/10 definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.

The food here was amazing! So glad we found it online and decided to give it a try. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits which he enjoyed. I don't even like grits but I liked theirs! He had steamed green beans as a side which were cooked perfectly. I had the Plaquemine Parmigiana which was PHENOMENAL! My sides were roasted garlic mashed potatoes which were delicious and probably some of the best steamed vegetables I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is nearby! Food is delicious and service was great!

Was looking for a quick southern fix on a work trip. This restaurant didn’t disappoint with the quality of the food or the views. Next time I will get a bushwhacker for sure!

One of the best places to eat on the Eastern Shore. We stop in about monthly, and typically sit at the bar, or out on the deck.

Never had an issue, service is always on point, people are friendly, food is outstanding.
