I had to have a tooth extraction done and I can honestly say, it went smooth and amazing. I had a tooth pulled once before somewhere else and it took and hour and a half because it was still painful, they had to stick me several more times to numb it fully and with the dentist here at Loxley Family Dental, I felt nothing but some pressure and it went smooth and quick. She definitely knew what she was doing. Thanks for my good experience after I previously had a bad one elsewhere.

The staff worked very well with me, on what I needed, to qualify for the sliding scale. Nichole and Betty we're both very sweet and patient. As a "sliding scale" Dental office, I didn't have high expectations. I anticipated teeth being yanked, and lots of resulting pain. I was wrong. I had three teeth pulled today. From start to finish, I was given consideration, and respect. And the level of pain during the extractions was minimal. What a sweet and professional dentist. Sliding scale dentistry service, that I could afford. That was done with the highest level of professionalism. Anyone complaining about these folks, either went there with an attitude, or are just looking for something to gripe about. I am grateful for such great service. I'll be back again next week!

First time getting my tooth pulled ever, and I was so scared. Plus no one told me about the 18th century needles they numb your mouth with, but other than that little painful hiccup, the Dentist was very great. Her and her assistant. My tooth was out in under 3 seconds(maybe 2). I was like that’s it 👀 after having her give me a 3rd shot to be on the safe side...don’t judge. My tooth is still in the healing process as of now, but I’ve no complaints what so EVER!! Will be back next month for the removal of one more. I’m just dreading that damn needle😭😬

Everyone at the clinic is knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The dentist, Dr. McElroy (sp?), is efficient, to the point, and has superior skills. Had to have three teeth pulled. Done in less than three minutes. Felt nothing! (Have had a dentist dig for 45 minutes then was in awful pain for weeks elsewhere.)

Thank you for this clinic.

Very similar story as Heather...

they gave my husband 8 vials of anesthesia just to pull a tooth. And that was AFTER we drove all the way from Georgia thinking they could do it that day, only to find out that we had to pay $150 in gas and drive 6 hours from our vacation just to get an exam and have to reschedule an extraction appointment. He was very sore for a while because of all the shots.

My sister needed a couple fillings, and they gave her so many shots and they were not careful about shot placement, that they caused her to get Trismus. Basically lockjaw that is really bad for a long time, and sometimes it's permanent. After 7 weeks, and careful jaw therapy, she is JUST NOW beginning to get her mouth open like normal.

So, since my teeth began to hurt and I needed a couple wisdom teeth taken out and some fillings, I think I will just wait and save up my money, and go somewhere ELSE!!

And that brings us to today. I paid my $40 exam bill, and yet I get an invoice claiming that I owe the dentist $79. I already paid my bill, and the lady at the dentist says to print out my bank statement, my tax papers, and the bill and bring them all in, and she can fix it for me. So, I drive 45 minutes to the office, and the lady at the desk says "we don't do that here. Look lady, you're gonna have to call me in the morning." I don't like having to pay for other people's mistakes. The least she could do was not be so RUDE.

It would just be nice if people could communicate and BE HONEST about what they can and cannot do, and stop wasting people's time and money. I have children and a family to take care of, I don't have the time or money to go gallivanting about, only to basically be told by the dentist, "I have no clue what to do, so just go away."

Please beware of these warnings before you risk your health. Yes, it's cheap (sometimes), but you pay for it in the long run.

I brought my little girl here, she had several cavities, the dentist treated me like I was an awful dad because my kid had cavities and told me that she needed too much work and they couldn't help me. She told me I needed to schedule her an appointment somewhere else and get her taken care of right away. Like money grows on tree's. The dentist seems like she is miserable with her job and her patient's. I have had similar experiences here in the past. Every time I leave thinking I paid the balance in full, I get a bill in the mail, when you call and ask them about it, they say your balance owed is zero, so why send a bill saying I owe money. Ridiculous, Horrible service.

Let me start by saying that if you need a place to get you out of pain quickly this is where you should go. However be prepared to deal with a headache in the long run.

My husband had a broken tooth that was causing him severe pain. I was looking for anywhere that could get him in quickly and would allow us to pay in cash without costing us a small fortune.

Loxley Dental (aka Franklin Primary Health) told him to come in and they'd pull the tooth, their fees are based on income. When we arrived she informed us that we had to bring in a printed copy of his paystubs to qualify for sliding scale fee schedule. That we'd have to pay their max fee upfront to be seen. This was an issue because I drove 100 miles to get there, without the appropriate information. After lots of frustration from me she said that if I'd send her his paystubs by email before the close of business that she would refund the price difference if he qualified for a subsidy. (He did)

My husband had already been through two rounds of antibiotics so pulling his tooth was the only option left and no reason to wait because he'd already been on antibiotics. We were not informed that they wouldn't pull the tooth in the first visit and drove the 100 miles because we believed they would take care of it immediately. This was not the case she had to schedule him to come back and this seemed to be for no other reason than to charge him for two office visits.

I was understandably upset. I've never seen the man in so much pain and he couldn't function and now he had to wait for a return visit. Again things worked in our favor and they had an opening for the next day.

I also really couldn't afford to pay for multiple visits. He has medical coverage but no one local that could bill it and see him even within the month. I asked what the visit would cost the next day and she told me $120 to pull the tooth. I told her the dentist had said that they would need to pull two teeth, and asked if that was a flat service fee or if it was per tooth and if there would be any other charges, because again... I really couldn't afford to deal with this emergency and I was trying to make sure that I didn't get hit with any surprises.

She was filling in for the person who normally works in that particular office and so I had to stand there for 20 minutes while she called around to get an answer. I was eventually told that it was a flat fee for extractions not per tooth.

I brought him back the next day, the Dentist was in and out of the room taking far too long to perform a simple extraction because she was dealing with multiple patients. This isn't unusual but noteworthy you will be waiting awhile here.

When he finally returned to me and I paid what we owed I asked if we were paid in full, and she replied that we were. Fast forward now a month later and I have a bill in the mail for nearly $200.

She didn't enter the information right so I was billed the wrong amount. It wasn't even clear to the woman I got on the phone today that I had paid for the first visit at all. The woman filling in, in their office and her boss were apparently wrong they do charge per tooth for extractions.

I'll never understand the world of medicine. If I come into a store and ask a price, and pay you for the item. It's sold end of story. You don't get to send me a letter a month later and tell me that you charged the wrong price and now you need to bill me double what I agreed to pay. If you did I'd return the item but there's no option to return a tooth extraction. I'm just stuck at the mercy of whatever they say I now owe them.

I explained all of this to the woman in the office and her response was... "like you said she was filling in, would you like to pay over the phone or make payment arrangements."

I did not like it here. Needed a tooth pulled. When shot with the needle, I felt lots of pain and even heard a very LOUD CRUNCH sound. And got a bill in the mail after the visit when I thought I payed for everything upfront. And nothing for pain. Just take over the counter medicine which didn't work for me. No thank you on this place. Going else where.

They will not answer the phone (during normal business hours) to make or cancel appointments. I called for 20 mins straight and got no answering machine or human being. What kind of medical/dental office operates like this?
