Great food! We had pulled pork and brisket with several sides. The pulled pork was the best and the beans were great. The service was a new experience as I’m not sure there was a dedicated order taker and they may have been short staffed, but when the food is ready, they deliver with a big smile. Outdoor dining or takeout only. About half of the tables had shade. Absolutely the best BBQ in Fairhope right now.

Super solid brisket, great pork sandwich. GREAT service. Was just passing through Fairhope to eat seafood but saw the smoker and the outdoor tables and had to stop by. Glad I did!

When we ate here we met the owner who told us that it’s a family based joint! It sounds like they are about to be expanding the restaurant a lot soon!

For two pulled pork sandwich combos with cole slaw added it was $30 (drinks and side). You can’t beat that.

The food was amazing! The BBQ sauce has a vinegary twang which is freaking delicious. I definitely recommend!

I reached out to Pirate's Pit bbq via Facebook messenger to see about catering an associate holiday party. From the first interaction to the last, it was very prompt, pleasant, and informative. We ordered pulled pork, bone in chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, and banana pudding cake. Everything, down to the bbq sauce was absolutely delicious. The banana pudding cake is the best dessert I've ever tasted. Very pleasant experience. Can't wait to do business with them again.

We stopped in after seeing them online and they did not disappoint! I asked what was in the loaded green beans, and another gentleman behind me enthusiastically said “everything you want!” And he was not wrong.
We had the pulled pork sandwich, fries, green beans, banana pudding and pound cake. Everything we ate was so flavorful and amazing. The team was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back with all of our friends and family!

This was our first time eating here and it did not disappoint. Incredible people, incredible food/bbq. I highly recommend.

The smoked, fried chicken wings are amazing, and the macaroni and cheese is really good. I will be adding Pirates Pit to my regular list, and will be there as often as I can. Can't wait to try the Elite Chicken! Also, love to support other local small businesses

Amazing food. Everyone in our group loved their food including me. The smoked wings were great and, I am not exaggerating when I say this, the best green beans I have ever had. Harvey and crew are great and so was the food.

Monster and flavorful burger. We picked up from the friendly folks at Pirates Pit on a Friday afternoon. They had our order out within 10 minutes and it was clearly made fresh. I really enjoyed the burger as well as their baked beans. I will be back to try their other items soon.

Food at the Pirate's Pit is second to none. The wings and the pulled pork we're perfectly smoked and tender. The owner/operator/cook/salesman is incredibly friendly and enjoyable in conversation. Highly recommended!

If you’re down on the beach you gotta make the trip. These guys are too humble, this bbq blows out anything on the beach..I’ve had them all. Their seasonings are absolutely dialed in. The pulled pork was delicious, just enough smoke and really good rub on there. Not soaking wet, and not too dry. Just right! Each item had its own distinct flavor. Looks like they make a hell of a burger too. 5 stars all the way!

A fantastic small local barbecue place with only a few outdoors table. The food is among the very best barbecue I ever had. Great service. Absolutely worth a detour. Highly recommended.

This place is ridiculous. It’s so damn good they need to have a special license! I’m not exaggerating when I say their brisket is better than any I’ve had in Texas and I’ve been hundreds of times. Best bbq anywhere in this area and I will be a regular!

Amazing BBQ—the ribs and the brisket were tender, succulent and full of great flavor..the sauce was not to sweet and just the right tang—fantastic overall 👍🏽👍🏽

When you see an isolated bbq shack at an out-of-the-way intersection, you stop. There is only one way a business survives at a location like this – the food must be awesome. Of course, I ordered what everyone goes to a bbq joint to eat… the cheeseburger. Then the dude comes out with my order in… get this… A PIGGLY WIGGLY SACK!

Bottom line, this is an A++ burger.

Now, I wrote a very detailed review with wonderful burger imagery earlier today, but apparently, Google made it disappear. So, I'll just leave the imagery to the images this time. It was perfect from top to bottom. The lettuce and tomato were so fresh that I think the bbq joint and the vegetable stand under the shade tree across the street are in concert.

Now, it's gotten me to thinking… If your bbq joint isn't serving you out of a Piggly Wiggly sack, are they even trying?

I just went to Pirates Pit BBQ and had the brisket. It was super tender and tasty. First time ever having it I wasn’t disappointed. Plus great service!

Harvey and Brian are the Best! Oh, the food…. To die for. Wow. The brisket dilla….. holy moly. You definitely will not be disappointed!!

Delicious! Cute little local shack with a ton of flavor all around! Enjoyed the rib Sammich! Smokey, moist and delicious! The Gouda Mac n cheese was on point, yummmy…. Can’t wait to go back and try the wings!

Found this amazing little bbq joint on our journey south. The pork ribs are amazing. So smokey you could blow a ring. Had the fries and bbq baked beans for sides and washed it all down with their Pirate Punch. All I need now is a hammock. This is a must stop for anyone in the area in need of good eats.

Great place for a burger and BBQ! Limited seating and only outside, but bring your pop-up shade and dig in!
