Southside Park

We visited this park for a child's birthday party. This was an excellent location for the event. There are 2 pavilions that are first come first serve. There was plenty of tables with seating, a couple of power sources on the wall to charge devices, clean well stocked restrooms, water access with hoses attached on concrete pad outside of the two sided dock park (small & large) with little kiddie pools inside for them to cool off. There is an archery range and if you walk to the rear of the property you can access the creek for more nature activities. This is a day park with a gate that is closed and locked at sundown. Definitely worth return visits.

Beautiful and very serene. Archery range for everyone. I enjoyed access to the Aldridge Creek Green space walkway. You can reach Ditto Landing from here at 3 miles down, 3 miles back.

Really nice playground with equipment small and safe enough for toddlers to enjoy! Nice pavilions for picnics, right off the Aldridge Creek Greenway. There's also a little library, Frisbee golf course, archery range, and dog park. Always a fun time!

Beautiful relaxing place to go after work. This park offers quite a lot of commodities as opposed to any other park in the area. It is connected to the walkway as well. Even an archery range and a frisbee golf course. Overall love coming here whether it's to watch the deer that will occasionally pass by at sunset or if its to go take a relaxing walk by the creek.

The best dog park in huntsvile (Astro Dog Park) is here. 100% recommend stopping by with or without a furry friend. There is a great playground, walking trails, and a pavilion. There is also bathrooms here.

Me and a small group of friends have decided to go every 2 weeks for the archery range. All but one of us are relatively new to the sport so it was nice to see the variety of distances available for shooting at. I was surprised that by the end of the first day, we were able to hit the farthest target. The grass was cut and the range was empty except for us. The only thing that I could ask for is for the targets to be in better shape. I'm to understand that the park is owned by the city of Huntsville. It shouldn't be far fetched to have the targets updated every so often. They've been shot up A LOT and could use some new wood.

This park has a little bit for everyone. Play ground, archery range, dog park, and it connects to Aldridge creek greenway.

Beautiful little park. It has a playground for the kids and a playground for the fur kids. Walk towards the back of the park and it leads right to the greenway. Great utilization of this property that's been vacant for so long.

We frequent the Astro dog park and it is always clean, and stocked. We 🖤 that place!

Fun disc golf course- ESPECIALLY WEDNESDAY NIGHTS FOR G L O W!!!!!!

Fun local park. My grandkids ran into friends and enjoyed the playground while my son watched their dog at the Astro dog park.

Lots of space/equipment to play, covered pavilion with tables and clean restrooms, separate picnic tables elsewhere, dog park, archery range, and connection to the Greenway walking/bike path.

This is an awesome place to go and get out of the house. There are really nice dog parks, more walking trails than you'll know what to do with, a fun playground for the kids, archery ranges, and one of my favorite disc golf courses that I have ever played on. I wish I lived closer.

The park is pretty well kept up throughout the year. Seems like every year they make improvements to the area.the dog park is great, and the disc golf course is fun.

Fun place for all ages! There is plenty of playground area and equipment. Loved hanging out at the Archer Park! Located on the Greenway is an added bonus 👍 There is also a dog park. Public restrooms were clean and the picnic area is large and covered.

Great outdoor range! Right next to a park and the Greenway walking path.
