Pokey's 8th Street Grill

This place reminded me of the old Niffer's burger joint in downtown Opelika. I had the fried catfish meal. The combo comes with a side of coleslaw and fries. The catfish was good quality, but the battering coating was a little bit on the dark side(probably needs a more frequent frying oil change).

Was asked for a minimum tip of 5% and above at the register, even though it is a self-service type of place(pay first at the register, you get your own fountain drinks and condiments, sit yourself down, and a staff brings you a tray of food).

The Pokey Burger Combo meal is the best bang for your buck, imo.

Overall, it is a good option for a quick and easy lunch if you are in the area.

Love this town and love this restaurant. Cozy atmosphere and friendly group of gals. I would recommend the Pokey Burger and banana pudding. Thank you for a great dining experience :)

Honestly no complaints. They were pretty busy and service was slow but they were as fast and as friendly as they could be and the food was worth the wait.

My 1st time in West Point, GA. Decided to try this place with a funny name and it was surprisingly good. I had a burger and the other person had tacos. Lots of room with lots of seating. Good place to bring children. The only reason why I didn't give the food 5 stars is because the French fries were soggy. Fyi no alcoholic beverages available.

The best burgers in the world! The hidden gem of west Georgia! Definitely worth the drive! Great food, great service, great local atmosphere!

I got the steak nachos and hamburger steak with fries and a drink and my wife order the Buffalo nachos and we got an appetizer for fried pickles and it was great. Wonderful service and wonderful food

This was our first trip to Pokey's. Loved the varied menu! The Buffalo chicken nachos were excellent. Friendly service and a great location.

Very casual atmosphere, and the ordering style certainly helped make it feel more relaxed. We loved the burgers here, and every side we tried was great- our personal favorites were the hush puppies and the fried pickles. Portion sizes were perfectly filling, and at a good price too. Best burger I've had in a while.

My husband and I were told my the locals to come here to eat. I'm glad we listened the food was just right. Husband got the pokey sandwich I got the catfish plate. The atmosphere is laid back. Also get the banana pudding you won't be disappointed.

I only recently started going to Pokey's more. I *thought* I didn't really like much on their menu but I was wrong. They've got some good food. I love their club sandwich and their chicken wrap. And the people working there are so nice.

The food, fabulous. The atmosphere was light and happy. Floor plan is open, very spacious. Covid precautions are in place.

My 1st time, had the Philly Cheesesteak and it was very good, fries were great too. Will try the burgers next time.
I've been wanting to eat here for a while, but usually have my boat and no safe place to park.
Also the mirror tint on the windows makes it impossible to tell if it's open in the daytime.

Food is always good, it's one of our favorite places to eat in West Point we keep it on our restaurant rotation along with a few others in town!@

The food is awesome! Always see folks I know because price is fair and the atmosphere welcoming! I can't put a choice on delicious, anything you choose you'll like!

Pokey’s Grill is fantastic! I absolutely love the menu options and their food is impeccable. Service is friendly and super helpful. They’re pretty packed coke lunch time, and I see why! Their food is wonderful and does not disappoint. Excellent portion sizes too.
