The honest, hard-working people at pelham imports helped my partner and I find the right car for us at a great price! It was out first time purchasing on our own and everyone was upfront and super helpful. They did all they could to help us and gave us upfront and honest advice about what to do to. The vibes were night and day compared to other dealerships in the area.

Seen a few bad reviews for this place. To address them: This is primarily a used car lot, if not only used. I didn't see any new vehicles, and I didn't expect to. If you buy a used vehicle, you should go in expecting there to be some problems, and no one, not even a professional mechanic, can know what all is going to go wrong with a vehicle months from the purchase. Additionally, the doggo is super friendly and not flea ridden at all, and I've got no idea where that came from.

Onto my actual review. I went to about five car lots the day I bought my car earlier last month. Out of all of them, this was the only lot that treated me with high amounts of respect and attention. They didn't push me on details, didn't go out of their way to advertise cars we weren't interested in, and were able to quickly answer any questions we had with full transparency. If you are looking for a place that will be honest with you and will work to make sure you're getting what you need from a vehicle, this place is it. They really work with their customers.

The car I bought was a 2014 model and a VW, so that means specialty parts and services required. They had to handle a few different issues that we spotted as we inspected the car, and we had it ready and driving less than a week later. I now have a separate issue with the vehicle, and within the past day I called them to see what to do, they had me drop it off, they figured out what was wrong with it, called me back, and gave me all the details about it. In a week they'll have the part they had to order, and I'll have my car back. I'm free to pick it up today and they'll call me back when they get the part in. This is within the warranty I had for it, and they've been nothing but kind and helpful.

Their selection is limited, due to the smaller size of their lot, but if you can work out a way to add this lot to your route when you're going car shopping, you won't regret it when you find that car you want and have a staff of friendly people that will work with you even months after the sale. I expect to continue using this lot for my car purchasing needs for as long as I'm in town.

As always, if you have questions about what you're buying, ask. If you think it's a bad deal or you aren't happy with the price, feel free to go to another lot. But ultimately, these people have a job to do, and can't give deals that don't work for them, and their prices aren't based on negotiation. They're the prices for the vehicles they determined before you came. And in my opinion, the prices are pretty good for what you're getting. And these people, respectful and kind as they are, deserve your respect and kindness in turn.

I dreaded going car shopping, because I hate high-pressure sales situations and prefer not to negotiate. Buying a car at Pelham Imports was perfect for me. I did my research online- I found a few cars I was interested in on their up-to-date website, which was easy to navigate. I checked out reviews, ratings, and reasonable prices on a few different car sites. All of the prices advertised for the cars I was looking at were good deals, so I felt confident accepting their "no-haggle prices."
I went to test drive cars late one evening, and no one met me on the lot- as advertised. When I went into the office, however, Heather was friendly and helpful. I chose a car I wanted to buy and returned the next morning, when Dolores made the sale. The process was quick and painless, and she had already ordered a replacement spare tire for the car. She called me a few days later to let me know the spare was ready, and I mentioned that I had noticed another small issue which wouldn't be covered by the warranty. They gave me a loaner car for the day, put the spare in the storage spot in the trunk, and fixed the other issue the same day. The man working there (I didn't catch his name) told me to come back if I had any other problems.

This kind of car shopping may not be for everybody. If you love negotiating and being catered to for a sale, you might want to look somewhere else. If you want a solid used car for a fair price and great customer service, try Pelham Imports.

Just happened to find this dealership on the web. They were upfront with everything they said and stood behind every word they told us. It’s a family owned business and everyone there was friendly and helpful. We had a couple of issues after we purchased the car and true to their word they took care of it. We were so impressed with them and they were so friendly..It was worth the drive from Somerville, Alabama to deal with them. We will definitely go back next time we need a used car and will highly recommend them. We feel like we have made new friends!

I purchased a vehicle from Pelham Imports 2 days ago. It's early, but my experience with the vehicle has been excellent so far. What I can say at this point is that they were absolutely great to work with. There was no pressure, they were open to talk about anything, they were honest, and it was clear they just want to make the customer happy. I got the impression that they pride themselves on being a local business with a great reputation. There was no haggling involved. They simply told me what they were able to do after I told them what I was looking for. They washed the vehicle up for me and threw in some floor mats (which can be very pricey) without me asking.
I would definitely recommend visiting this dealership when looking for a used car.

What a stress free experience! No haggle dealership with cars priced very low for the market value!!! No stressful salespeople pressuring you as you buy/test drive, either! And when the car I bought said it needed an oil change, they let me bring it in and not only changed the oil, but also washed the exterior and interior for me and checked the tire pressure!!! All for free!!! Thank you!!!

I bought a 2011 Chevy Silverado Z71 just over 5 years ago. Great price. Its a daily driver. Had under 90 thousand miles on it when i bought. It. Just now at 97 thousand miles. Been a awesome purchase. I will buy from Pelham Imports again.

I purchased 2 cars for my twin sons from Pelham Imports on Saturday. Heather was knowledgeable, Patient and Honest. I would recommend. Also no salespeople. Just pick what you like and ask questions. No pressure.

I have bought 7 cars from this dealership for the last few years. One for myself, two for my wife, one for my son and one for my daughter. My daughter's car was rear-ended twice and got them exchanged in this dealership with the money the insurance paid for the cars. I have also recommended the dealership to 5 of my friends and all seem to be very happy and would buy again from this dealership.
I have absolutely had no problems with my cars (with the exception of normal maintenance items). When I see people give bad reviews, it really bothers me. The sound byte of "junk cars" "bad dealership" and others without actually explaining the situation and their bad experience and list the detail of their problems, is cheap and unhealpful. When I need another car, I will buy again from the same dealership. I know for sure they do NOT sell junk because they really care about their reputation and they go overboard to help their customers who need help. The only people that give bad reviews I assume are their competitors that sell junk cars at a higher price and want to ruin the reputation of a great dealership so that they can benefit from it.
BTW: Many of their cars come with warranty, and some extended from the manufacturer. If you feel insecure and want a piece of mind, purchase their extended warranty. I have had no warranty on any of my cars because I did not feel that I needed them. The ball is in your court.

I took my elderly parents to Pelham Imports to replace their car after an accident. It was the easiest, most relaxed car buying experience I have ever had. They treated us like family. It's easy to see why they've been in business for over 20 years. Honest, friendly and so helpful.

Seriously, the BEST used car place I have been to!!! Delores and her husband are some of the nicest and most honest people I have ever done business with!! I just purchased my second vehicle from Pelham Imports, and I knew after having my first car from them for 3 years and having no major issues with them I had to come back. My 09 Toyota Yaris that I purchased in 2013 still runs perfectly and I am in love with my 2015 Ford Escape that I just got! It really is a place where what you see is what you get. Initially I was nervous because I bought my first car out of college from them and I went shopping by myself and not one time did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. You are free to walk around and check out cars and test drive vehicles you are interested without any pressure to buy. It is a happy and low stress (not to mention affordable) way to streamline a process that can often be unpleasant. Honestly would give a 10/10 and I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in a used car!!!

SUPERB SERVICE. I have NEVER been SO impressed by a Car Dealership as this one. I'm usually merciless on Car Dealers and I'll make ridiculous low offers until I get the price I want. But, Pelham Imports is different. There's No Fancy Dandy Showrooms with Highway Prices, but instead I saw a Great Fleet of High Quality Pre-Owned Vehicle at extremely reasonable low prices.
After negotiating my trade in for a car that I liked over the phone, I drove about 250 miles to finalize the deal. When I arrived, I was told that the car I had negotiated for was not on the lot. The reason being "SINCE YOU DROVE SO FAR FOR THIS CAR, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU MAKE IT BACK OKAY AND DECIDED TO PUT NEW TIRES ON THE CAR." It wasn't because the tires needed replacement nor because I requested for the tires to be replaced, but solely because of the genuine concern these people have for their customers. I was extremely touched. Never in my 50+ years has a Car Dealership offered to do anything for me nevertheless just do it without me asking.
We need more Car Dealerships like these in America. Dealers who are more concerned with their customers, then they are with their Bank Accounts. Highly recommended; unsurpassed service; no haggling tricks; just HONEST people trying to SAVE YOU MONEY by selling the Best Quality Cars for the lowest possible prices. BTW have anyone every heard of "Warranties" on Pre-Owned Cars? I doubt it. But, you get it here: 3000 Miles 90 Days. Buy from these people - TRUST ME.

I was impressed by the inventory and the low prices; but, I was most impressed by the family that owns and operates this establishment. They were kind, fair and low pressure. The next time I'm looking for a car, I will come back here.

Other used car dealers should strive to meet Pelham Import's level of customer service. Heather was excellent to work with. Pricing is beyond fair.
