We found Tigers for Tomorrow by accident traveling North Bound i59. This is not a "zoo" it is an animal preserve, and it's important to keep that in mind when visiting. The terrain driving up to the main entrance is a little rough. It's semi "off-road" so be prepared for some bumps.
The visit itself: The price was more than reasonable for 2 adults ($36/ $18 per).
It's probably smart to wear shoes with some kind of traction and be prepared for some bugs (you are outside!!)
The cats were very vocal and active first thing in the morning which was incredible. Again, this is not a zoo so no glass between you and the animals. Thank goodness for the fences though! I wish we could have gotten closer, but for safety reasons, I understand the barriers.
We have traveled to big zoos and aquariums from the west to east and several in between, and by far, this has been one of the best "up close and personal" experiences we have had. Several big cats, wolfs, and the bears were amazing! Although there are similarities, you can tell each animal had their own personalities. We cant wait to visit again. Wish we lived closer to help contribute more to such a beautiful attraction.

An example of humans doing the right thing in our world...

This is a very well-kept animal sanctuary in a beautiful and peaceful part of Alabama... well worth the drive.

We enjoyed our time, especially with Gretel the Capybara. Her keeper is a very good egg and we were able to feed and pet little Gretel in a private experience.

All of the animals seemed to be in good shape and in good spirits. There are so many big cats!

If anything, I would say please bring your manners and your patience. The staff is great but the crowd on a beautiful February day caught them by surprise, I think.

Parking is a bit scattershot, so just be ready to maneuver quickly but carefully.

Definitely worth the 3h trip from the Scruffy City.

Such a great place to visit!! It was $5 per person and amazing. So many animals. Although expect to do some uphill/downhill walking. I will definitely be going again.

We had a great first visit. There was no wait when buying our tickets and the park overall wasn't very crowded. The animals all look happy and healthy. The only problem we had was a little bit of an attitude when asking about a price on an item in the giftshop it wasn't marked and we didn't see any price around it saying how much it was but when we asked they insisted it was marked but we didn't let that ruin our experience. We for sure will be back and will be bringing more people along with us

Very nice, provides a home for large animals that might not otherwise have one. In group you can have a tour and 5jat provides much additional insight regarding the animals . It is not an all day zoo but due to its groups having heavy shade all day it is comfortable for both visitors and the animals.

This is an absolutely gorgeous park with an incredible collection of really well taken care of animals. Every single staff member was friendly, talkative, knowledgeable and clearly excited to work there! I will absolutely be taking another trip here! Especially to visit with little old lady Jasmine the Geoffroy's Cat who was the CUTEST animal I've ever seen!!

Definitely a off the beaten path type of place. This place took me by surprise for sure! On our way back home from Huntsville, we decided to check this place out. We took some interesting and adventurous paths to get to this place. I really recommend going to their Facebook page for any updates. Day before they were closed because of the rain and we completely understood why when we went...talk about muddy and able to get through the path. The place itself was amazing and very clean. Animals were healthy and very active that day. Its nice how they kinda make you follow a path so you can see all the animals. I would recommend this place to anyone who is not expecting a fancy zoo, but something low key with less foot traffic. The staff in the gift shop was amazing n super sweet. Definitely can use up a couple of hours in this place.

The animals here look much healthier than any zoo I've ever visited. The place is laid out well. You walk thru several enclosures with a lot of different animals. There were several tigers, lions, bears ,wolves to see. My personal favorites were the black jaguar and the heyennas. You get very close to the animals, literally within feet. Definitely worth the drive. Way better than a zoo as far as actually seeing the animals up close.

I love being able to experience animals like this. A lot of people have different opinions about it. But I enjoy and appreciate the educational experience they offer.

Such a cool spot to go and visit. Wish it was closer to go more often and support the team here. My son is obsessed with tiger and lions, this didn't disappoint. We had plenty of time to just walk around read about the animals. It's not some fancy zoo but you get the feeling that the animals are all loved

I have been to zoos, sanctuaries, and rescues all over the Southeast and I have never seen animals look as happy and well loved as those here at tigers for tomorrow!

The level of detail in the care given to their animals was evident when we watched crew washing down the rocks the cats meat is placed ensuring a clean eating surface and minimizing bugs.

The animals are given a nice break throughout the week (with private tours only on weekdays) AND a nice "vacation" in the back away from crowds on a rotating schedule which seemed to really up their mood.

Some (like the grizzly) are even happy to put on a show for visitors. Lol.

Incredible place with beautiful, loved, well taken care of animals! Tigers are only one of the amazing creatures: hyenas, wolves, capybaras, lions, bears, foxes, porcupines and so many other fascinating animals live here! The staff are all so knowledgeable and friendly, and very obviously love how they get to provide such an amazing haven for the creatures here. I easily could’ve spent much more time than the several hours we stayed enjoying this place and I can’t wait to come back. Absolutely bring your friends and family (or just yourself) to this wonderful place!

I've been visiting Tigers for Tomorrow since they first opened. This place is great for getting up and close with the Big Cats as well as other exotic animals. It's never crowded. This place is this area's best kept secret. It's the greatest place to visit. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.

There are no words to express the appreciation I have for the Tigers for Tomorrow staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate my aging parents that have trouble walking for long periods of time. They took care of them as if they were their parents by shuttling them around in a golf cart and essentially giving them a private tour. The preservation is absolutely worth traveling to (we traveled 2 hours one-way). The tigers (to include a white tiger) and all animals are healthy and happy. We even heard a lion roar and saw a liger for the first time. The staff is in love with what they do and it is evident. We fed the capybaras (additional charge) and my kids (5 and 6) absolutely loved it. I recommend Tigers for Tomorrow to everyone! Thank you!

Fantastic time seeing all the animals! We could get very close to them all and my kids had a great time. Staff was all extremely nice. The terrain for the tour is mostly a gravel path and has some very steep places, but otherwise a relatively easy walk.

Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We had the absolute BEST day here! What a treat and especially to run into the founder, Sue, while she and staff cared for the animals. She answered all of our questions and gave us so so much information on top of that. She was great with us even though it was clear she was busy. The animals were simply amazing…I can’t even describe the feeling having so many around you and the noises. We can’t wait to go back and take others with us! Thanks for such a great memory!

This was a cool little place. I loved that we could see the animals more close up unlike some times at a traditional zoo. Other pros: 1)There was a lot of shade and places to sit. 2) Picnic area. 3) The animals were playful and active, swimming & playing with toys and each other. 4) not crowded on Friday at all. 5) Clean & safe 6) The workers were very nice and answered all of our questions about the animals. 7) Beautiful drive and easy to find.
While we were there a lion started roaring. It was so cool because all of the animals (lions, tigers, bears, coyotes, wolves, foxes, etc) followed suit. It was a perfect harmony of all their voices. I loved it. There was also this one tiger that I swear was posing for me as I took their picture. Coolness overload.
The only con to the place: if you are not steady on your feet, the walk is not paved. It was fine for me but the walkways were chert and some had ruts from rain washing it away. It wasn't a difficult walk, but just wasn't even pathways.
This place is worth visiting.

Such a great place to take your family. It was so much fun to go. My wife and I went and she was so excited to see the different animals. All the animals are so sweet and so is the staff.
