Small town feel, Very friendly, Pastor Brian is solid in the word, He will meet you outside after the service and shake everyone's hand, And truly wants to get to know you, The worship band plays awesome music, Looking for a church to call home look no further this is the place.

Rivertown is a church that concentrates on reaching people who have been turned off or even turned away by some traditional churches. They intentionally create an environment that is non-intimidating and not confusing to those who might be hesitant to attend church.
There is practical teaching delivered by live-streaming video that teaches how to relate and apply Biblical truths to life today so that you can have a better life.
The personal recognition of the benefits of deciding to become a follower of Christ on your own terms and in your own time replaces the pressure of an "altar call" to "get saved," terms and actions not easily understood by non-Christians.
There is no judgementalism or Bible-thumping, pulpit-pounding threat of hellfire. Just encouragement and good advice delivered with compassion and forgiveness, like Jesus did.
More emphasis on reaching and helping people with the truth of Christ, no emphasis on theological disputes.

When you walk in you are greeted warmly and immediately you feel welcome and that you belong. You get a strong feeling of community.

Wonderful church

Tried the church for several weeks. What is disappointing is that there has yet to be an alternative call. In fact, last week the Pastor told people if they wanted to discover their purpose, meet him in the back... Then proceeded to take up the offering.

Now, the church live streams the service of another church on Sun morning. Why go to church to watch church on TV, when you can watch church on TV at home.

Is this what church has become? Very disappointed in what I have seen here and we will not be going back. There are too many churches in our area that have live, real life church services, and alter calls.
