This was a perfect short hike to the waterfall. Bathrooms are located at the front entrance office - make sure to sign in :). The only difficulty was the incline back which was pretty steep but also short! Bring your swimsuit :)

Great park for a quick stop. I was impressed with the waterfall and it had some nice, but short trails. It’s a popular spot to bring your bathing suit and jump off the rocks too.

The photos of this are do not do it justice. We went in February so I'm sure when everything is green it's prettier, but the falls, streams, and woods are beautiful!! These is also a swimming hole. I love that it's dog friendly. The staff were very welcoming. They have snacks for sale inside. The toilets were helpful. There are lots of picnic areas and if you have children, they do have a play ground. I am absolutely coming back here!!

Definitely worth a visit! Pet and child friendly. Just keep the pets on a leash and watch the kids. Covered bridge was cool and gave you a great view of the falls. Easy walk from the parking lot to the falls with friendly folks at the check in/visitor site. Restrooms clean and available if needed. Truly beautiful!

This place is absolutely stunning!! We were able to walk right out onto the falls!! It has breathtaking trails and wonderful scenery. I will go back the next chance I get!
2nd visit and just as amazing!! The staff in the visitor's center were so sweet and welcoming!

What a cool natural falls to visit. You're able to walk out in the water on the rocks for breath taking views. Or if you're adventurous enough (and can swim) you can go to the edge and jump in. While we were there, there were some teenagers taking advantage of the nice weather & jumping in. Can't wait to go back & hike some trails.

Absolutely beautiful and totally worth the leg work out 😂 Well maintained and very friendly staff. Once down and across the bridge there's trails and a tiny waterfall. It's great!

Beautiful all thru the part, it's a hefty walk around up and down the path to the falls and the wooden bridge!

This is an amazing place.

This place opens at 10am (sometimes a little early according to the nice lady there.) and closes at 6pm.
-It is a great place for picnics. There are multiple pavilions for that. They include charcoal grills.
-The welcome building has nice bathrooms, and they sell boiled peanuts and popcorn. They also sell shirts and other things.
-The waterfall is pretty sweet. There are spots for swimming at the top and bottom of the waterfall.
-Many people dive off the waterfall. There are different diving spots all around the waterfall. If you aren't into diving, there is a lot of cool bouldering on the waterfall.
-The bridge across the river is nice.
Overall, it's a beautiful place. Very highly recommended!

Well worth the time! If it seems like you're on some back roads trying to get there don't worry you're on the right path. There's a nice welcome building and parking area when you show up. Inside we were met by a very nice park employee who was very happy to tell us the history of the park and everything we could do there. He really was a pleasure to talk with. The welcome building has some nice old pictures of the area as well. The bridge and falls are only a tenth of a mile from the welcome building. An easy walk. You can picnic, hike and swim there. Even if you don't think you would want to swim I recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel because you'll probably change your mind. And if you have a dog they might want to swim too because it's pet friendly. All in all I would do this again. It was great. We left a donation as we walked out to hopefully allow the park to be a great destination in the future.

Thank God for GPS. Without it we never would have found High Falls Park. We were coming from the Pisgah Gorge waterfall to the north after spending a few days out on Lake Gunnison. To get there you take plenty on lanes and country roads. The people working there were extremely helpful, nice and friendly. There is food and drinks in the lodge. You can buy Momentos, hats and shirts and other things. Lot's of history about the area. The falls and surrounding trails were well maintained. Gorgeous views each way you turn. People were wading, swimming, jumping and hiking all around the place. Highly recommend spending a few hours here. The footbridge is nice to see the falls backside from above and you get a more frontal view from the other bank.

Such a sweet park with great trails. You can hike down to the water but it’s a little steep so best to go when it’s relatively dry. Absolutely gorgeous and the hikes weren’t too long.

It was beautiful. They don't make you pay but allow you to donate money to create more things at the park and keep it running if you can. We will definitely be going back. It had a playground an a beautiful view. The people were so friendly and it was an amazing experience!

The falls are running wonderfully. It is just beautiful. It was a great day to explore mother nature.
Update... 10/24/2023 we've had no rain so the falls are dry. But everything is still beautiful.

We stopped at High Falls on a whim over the weekend while camping at Buck’s Pocket State park and it was such a lovely gem. It has to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever seen. The staff in the office was super friendly and I appreciate that the path to the falls is paved so it’s accessible for wheelchairs/strollers. I definitely recommend stopping here, it was a lovely way to spend a few hours on a Saturday.

This park has swings, a merry-go-round, grills, public bathrooms, fairly easy hiking trails, swimming, and is very peaceful.

Definitely a wonderful place for a day trip. Summer is the perfect time to go there due to its greenness and heavy water flows. The views of the falls from different point is really speculating. The drive to the park is also scenic. Overall its an amazing place to go and chill with your friends and family.

Fun little destination in the middle of nowhere. Little bit of a steep incline up and down the road but otherwise it is beautiful and worth seeing. Completely free only thing it'll cost you is your time driving through some of the most beautiful country side.

Very beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately the water is low, so we didn’t get to see the full effect of the falls. I would still recommend visiting this place. There are plenty of picnic areas, and a couple playground areas for the kids. It’s worth the trip if you love nature and scenery. I would recommend waiting for the season when the water is normally high and running full.
