We've been here twice in 2 days. Really friendly server and neat place. I highly recommend the Skidder Panini (formerly Shoofly Panini) and Apple Pie Panini! 🤤

Everything about the Whistle Punk is inviting, the feel of the restaurant and servers are great vibes. The food is exceptional definitely not what you expect to find in the Rural WV town of Richwood.

We had heard good things about this establishment and weren’t disappointed. We went for the Sunday brunch, but a person can view the full menu by googling it. Service was great and the owners are so friendly, making us feel right at home immediately. Our selections, the Cajun scramble and the Monte Cristo were spot on. We will let you all debate the prices, but for us, the quality, atmosphere, and service made this place a real bargain. We will definitely be back.

The Whistle Punk is a fantastic local restaurant worth checking out of your in the Richwood WV area. The setting is an old bakery then an old clothing store that was converted to its current condition. There is a beautiful outdoor eating area with a Koi pond and beautiful murals. The menu is rich with cultural and eclectic flavors and names. Sandwiches, burgers, starters, salads, desserts, and a cratf beer selection all round out the menu. The service was top notch. If your looking to support a local business and enjoy a fantastic eating experience then stop by The Whistle Punk.

Best resturant in richwood! The food was amazing and the service was great.

After a long day of fishing the local rivers, Whistle Punk was a welcome surprise in Richwood. Cool atmosphere, awesome server, and excellent food. We had the Loaded Gorgonzola Fries, the Paul Nettles burger, and Chicken Chesapeake. The chicken was some of the juiciest and best cooked I've ever had, and I look forward to trying to recreate the gorgonzola cream sauce at home. I don't know if I'll ever be in West Virginia again, but eating at Whistle Punk will forever be a great vacation memory.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks. A young business that does well to manage the unexpected traffic of a small town with sudden booms of tourism.

My experience at whistle punk was exceptional. Service was delightful, attentive and helpful when it came to recommendations for dishes. We started with the crab dip, an appetizer rich in cheese and often much better than those served in restaurants in Mary land. Both drinks came by recommendation, a sour milkshake IPA and a dry Chardonnay. Both were to our liking. Steak was perfectly cooked, and asparagus was particularly delightful with the additional buttery sauce. The grilled apple panini was toasted perfectly with complementary raisin bread and vanilla ice cream. This will be a drive from Toronto that we will endure again for the food.

Love Whistle Punk! Cozy inside and great outdoor seating where you might get to pet a cat. Very tasty menu, I especially like the fish tacos. Super friendly wait staff even when they are running around like crazy because this place does get busy. Love the charming floral arrangements on the tables and appreciate the cleanliness of the restrooms.

5 stars isn't enough!! I was there today around noon and the service and food were both unbelievable!

Happened to stop by this place on our way through town. Great find. The food was really good, made with fresh ingredients. The kid's meals came with a fruit bowl and it had freshly cut strawberries! Never seen a fruit bowl quite like it. Our meals were also very good. The only bummer is you can't eat at their great outdoor space and have alcohol. I guess it's a Richwood rule/law.

Wow. What a strange place to be in Richwood. It's new and modern and has a killer food and drink menu. Friends and I were camping in the area and came here twice in the same day. The staff was awesome (particularly for putting up with a drunk friend Friday night) and you can tell they love the area and the people in it.

Altogether, we sampled a little bit of everything I feel and it was all great. Fresh and homemade ingredients and you feel the love. Though I'm not big on crab or crab dip, a friend of mine had it for lunch and for dinner because it was so good. I will personally vouch for the burgers. Nice, thick patty and cooked to perfection. I'll let you figure out what sounds good but from what everyone had on our table, nothing was bad and nothing went to waste.

The beer menu was fantastic. The owners have a great eye for craft beer and an even better eye for local craft beer. Bringing in beer from several different regions in the state whether it be draft or in a can. Even better, Whistle Punk plans to start brewing their own beer this year (the owners were friendly enough to stop by our table and chat for a few about it).

This is a great restaurant and I wish them years of success because of all the times I've just driven through Richwood, that won't happen again. This will always be on my radar for a tasty lunch in an inviting atmosphere.

Great food and atmosphere! Very friendly staff provide excellent customer service. Family environment. They often have specials in addition to exceptional options on the menu. They even have live music some weekends with no cover charge. Delicious crab dip, fish, sandwiches, burgers, as well as many gluten free items.

At conclusion of 3 day trip in beautiful West Virginia, we stopped to eat at this recommended restaurant.
Preferred eating outside in gorgeous weather with no covid concerns. Loved the cat stopping by to greet us.
The chicken quesadilla was the best, with no doubt, I have ever eaten (even in New Mexico). Service was perfect and owner/waiter very personable.

Probably the best food I've ever had in a restaurant! It was exquisite. You pull into Richwood thinking where have I came??? But this hidden little gem has food that will blow your mind. I would drive 5 hours all over again just to eat there. It was amazing!

We just recently moved into the area and were looking for a place to eat using Yelp. Originally the name is what caught our attention. The food and beverages are the reasons we'll keep going back. Friendly and helpful staff. The crab dip is going to be our choice of appetizers.

Came in after a funeral viewing about 20 minutes before they closed on a Sunday evening.Waitress was awesome. We had a local beer guide and he new lots about WV 's best beers. Food was amazing. We apologised about our timing and we we're treated AWESOME!!!.
Fresh cut fries very very good. Good mix of menu items. And lots of beer. There were 8 ppl in our group. 2 thumbs up in my book.

Had the crab dip, wings, smothered chicken, and an incredible chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. Everything was awesome, but those two apps and the dessert really stole the show. The wings beat pies & pints (never thought I'd say this) and the crab dip was absolutely killer with the perfectly textured toasties (crunchy but soft, very rare combo). The cheesecake was so good, I just wanted to take their whole cake home. Also an awesome crew! I traveled from Beckley in the evening (1.5 hours) for whistle punk specifically, and I would do that 100 more times - it was that good.

Had lunch here on a Tuesday and turkey sandwich was great! Wasn't drinking beer at lunch but looks like a big selection of micro brews, including several WV brands. Nice "old school" feel. Looks like it would be fun on weekends.

What a GEM! I've only dined here twice. But oh the wings 👨‍🍳💋. Also do not die before trying the lemon thyme salad dressing!!! Excellent craft brews served by delightful staff. If this place is an hour and a half drive+ out of your way... WORTH it!!!
