Real homemade food, friendly service. If you are within 50 miles you have to stop and try it.
Stopped in again today 6/2/24 and breakfast was amazing!

Great food and good portions. An old general store with original tin ceiling. All homemade bread, biscuits etc. Teen staff so they are still learning but they did fine. Next time thru Stockton I will make a stop.

Great food. Awesome Sunday breakfast. Two year's in a row! Still great. I recommend the flank steak and eggs. Scouts liked the scrambled eggs, hash browns , hot cakes and sausage. Got chocolate is tasty after a cold camping weekend. Bathroom is spotless just like last year. Service excellent and attentive. The 1890s tin tray ceiling is gorgeous. Great place for family and friends.

My husband and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat before heading to Apple River Canyon State Park. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. I wished it came with a pickle spear instead of slices, but overall, a nice lunch experience.

Fantastic restaurant and home made bread. The interior is beautifully restored with almost everything original from the late 1800s. Quite busy at times but very friendly. Great value with every meal.

An absolute gem of a place. We stopped here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The cafe has a historic aesthetic that has been modernized. Their menu is compact, but has enough variety to cover both breakfast and lunch options. Everything in the menu is exquisite. I had a garlic bread appetizer and a Greek omelette pictured below. Their ingredients were incredibly fresh and the dishes were delectable. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and looking to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch.

This place is fantastic! Breakfast was amazing. I had the Hobo skillet. Home made bread is out of this world. A must go!!

Have been going here for a handful of years now when we pass through town. Their food is just wonderful. Their French toast is the best I’ve ever had. They bake their own bread which can’t be beat, that is also used in their French toast. My husband loves their corned beef hash. Their carrot cake is scrumptious. On Sunday’s they do a breakfast buffet that’s great. Wonderful little place with breakfast and lunch options to please everyone.

I stopped with my daughter and granddaughter for lunch, and we loved Stella's! We had a giant cinnamon roll, lettuce salad with candied pecans, feta, and chicken, and the grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. They were all absolutely delicious! Loved the quaint and historic décor and the service was excellent!

The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the fresh baked bread is some of the best I have had. I ended up going back the next day because it was so good and I bought a loaf of the bread to take home with me. 100% recommend this place

Had a group of us meet for lunch. Quaint little pub that is BYOB. which was fine since I had some in the cooler. Food was great and so was the service.

Stopped in for brunch. Cute place with a long history. Tin ceilings give it a feeling of early 20th century. I had the BLT with tomato basil soup and it was delicious. My with got the Twisted BLT, which is basically a BLT with a fried egg. It too was delicious.

Enjoyed a late lunch with my granddaughters. She loved the pig pancakes. Very friendly place with huge cinnamon rolls...

My friend and I met a few of her family members here before heading to Galena. The tomato-basil soup was the best I've ever had, and I loved the grilled cheese sandwich. I would drive the two hours just to have it again!

Best breakfast place around the area. Food tasted good, service was quick and not too pricey.

Great old building for starters. Friendly staff, quick to serve. Had a veggie omelette with American fries and toast. Typically eat this type of meal with ketchup. Waiter brought some at my request. But DID NOT need it. Great food at a very fair price. And the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Friendly customers as well.

Had a delightful experience here. Came from Savanna Il for a drive and stopped here for lunch. Randomly. Great lunch and Eva our waitress was very kind and professional. Biggest kindness gift was someone/somebody bought our lunch anonymously. What a beautiful kind thing to do! Thank you so very much. Food was good. Tomato bisque and grilled cheese. I had gyros and made delicious. Thanks Stella's!

Staff was very nice and accommodating. We stopped by for a quick lunch and had to leave in 30 minutes (totally our fault). They prepped the food very quickly and the food was very good.

We ordered a salad, the big mc, and the BYO burger. All options were delicious. Thanks to the staff!
