UPDATE! After the first surgery Luna's plate got loose, probably due to her hyper temperament, Dr. Old removed the plate and she is in recovery process. Again Dr. Old and his wonderful staff helped us in a very caring, professional, diligent manner, I could not say enough good things about them, God bless him, his wife Nell, and awesome staff!

My dog Emma had a Ccl rupture. Dr. Old and staff did the repair surgery. It's now 4 weeks later, and Emma is recovering wonderfully. Surgery was fast, staff was professional, knowledgable, and friendly. They took great care of Emma. I highly recommend!!

Our 7 year old Dachshund "Alijah" walked today. It is the 10th day after Dr. Old performed emergency surgery on him after a rupture of the L2-L3 vertebrae. His hind legs were paralyzed. Highly recommend Dr. Old and his courteous and accommodating staff..
Also anyone going through this, immediate therapy including laser I feel is paramount.

Our German Shorthair Pointer had a difficult to diagnose leg injury. Dr Old did a thorough comprehensive examination and consultation, and was able to recommend a needed orthopaedic surgery to correct the problem. He was quick to explain the procedure, the recovery, and the probable outcome. His staff is well trained, caring, and professional in their approach as well.

If I could give more stars, I would. On a Saturday I woke up to my dachshund unable to walk. I called the emergency vet number and was referred to a vet 75 miles away. I called Wisdom Animal Clinic in Texarkana. They saw him right away. They referred us to Dr Gary Old who met us at his office that day for immediate surgery on my furbaby. He and his wife met us there very quickly, quoted us an extremely reasonable rate for imaging and surgery (3-4 hour surgery), and only required partial payment up front. They were so very sweet and had an amazing attitude toward us. He was very honest and straightforward with us about possible outcome. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing care for their pets.

Best rating to Old Gary DMV and the whole staff at Richmond Road Animal Hospital. Very personal service from meeting me at my car to help bring my dog in, all the way to assisting me getting him back in car after surgery. Their imaging system sure looked clearer that the xrays my husband had during his medical treatments. I highly recommend this staff.

Our Dachsund had a major disc compression that because of a bad treatment by another vet progressed to the point of a loss of the ability to walk and deep pain. This meant there was a high probability he wouldn't walk again. Dr. Old repaired his spine and he beat the odds and although he has what they call a drunk walk, he is walking again and is happy. The staff is fantastic.

Dr Old is a fantastic surgeon. He worked on two of my fur babies and got them to full speed. Very caring man

This guy is the best orthopedic veterinarian in the 3 Arklatex area. It's amazing what he is able to do with broken bones. Our dog was hit by a car and her leg was shattered, our primary vet couldn't do anything as it was beyond the skill of an ordinary vet so he referred us to dr Old. He saved or beloved dogs leg with extraordinary skill. Highly recommend.

I used Dr. Old for a TPLO surgery on my Australian Cattle Dog. I found his prices VERY reasonable and Dr. Old was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have no question in my mind that he is a very good surgeon. I received emails with the xrays of the completed surgery within a hour of it being completed. My only complaint was that is was sometimes hard to follow a conversation with Dr. Old because many of his explanations were very technical and I was not familiar with some of the terms. However, he explained everything that happened during the surgery to my satisfaction. He also kept my dog a few days longer than most other surgeons normally do for a TPLO surgery in order to make sure she was on the way to properly healing. I just wish we lived closer to Dr. Old so I could use him again as our girl has just torn her other cruciate ligament and is looking to have another TPLO surgery.

Very professional and caring. Not only to our pet but to us also. Dr Old took the time to explain and be very thorough with his findings on our dog. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Old and the staff are wonderful. De Gallo is a 6 lb., 11 month old Chihuahua. He was stepped on by our German Shepherd. His lower leg was dislocated and ligaments were torn. In the DFW area surgery and aftercare would have been over $5k. Just to remove his leg, I was given an estimate in DFW that was higher than the cost for Dr. Old to surgically repair it. We struggled with this as he is only a puppy and Chihuahuas live about 18 years. It has been far more cost effective to take him to Texarkana for the surgery and aftercare than to have it done in DFW. Dr. Old is great about communicating even long distance and his staff are very friendly and caring. I highly recommend Richmond Road Animal Hospital.

Staff was great and caring. The doctor explained everything in a way that was easy to replace understand and did a great job.

The staff here are great with my dogs. We've been coming to Dr Old since he was on AR Blvd. and will continue as long as we have pets.

Wonderful staff, AWESOME Dr. They did knee surgery on our Abby and she is good as new!!
