Great local eatery serving delicious breakfast. It really hit the spot on a cool spring break morning after doing some fishing down the street. Service was prompt and attentive too. Highly recommend this local establishment that looks like they've been perfecting their menu for a long time. Pancakes were huge and fluffy with my scrambled eggs to order and thick bacon. My son bragged on their coffee which was actually quite smooth and savory. Awesome value! Keep up the good work Skipper.

I stumbled upon this wonderful breakfast spot during my visit, and I must say, it's a gem. The menu not only offers delicious homestyle cooking, but it also includes some Greek offerings that truly stand out. The food is flavorful and satisfying, leaving you ready to take on the day.

My husband and I came across Skipper's while visiting the area. We we highly impressed with the food (mushroom omelet for him and the kielbasa breakfast for me). The grits were out of this world and so buttery. Get the ginormous biscuit, you won't regret it. The folks and staff who run Skipper's are super personable and happy to make sure you enjoy your meal.

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with huge smiles and big hellos! My 3 year old son was spoiled with treats before we even sat down! He was gifted a skippers t-shirt and what seems like $2 in quarters with all the treats he got from the little machines! The service we received from Russell was unbelievable! He was extremely engaging with our whole group and what ever we needed we got as soon as we asked! The food was incredible and came out fresh and hot! This little family owned business is one of a kind and definitely made you feel at home! We can’t wait to come back!

I’m so glad we found this gem! We were greeted when we entered and had great customer service all around from the person that brought our drinks to the waiter to the person that cleared off the table after we finished. The food was great! We had the gyro omelet with feta, grits, and toast. The salsa was homemade and did NOT disappoint. It had the perfect level of spice. We also ordered a ham and cheese omelet with bacon and cheese grits and a pancake. Highly recommend! We most certainly will be back when we are in the area again!

I ordered the lemon pepper chicken which came with your choice of fries or bake potato with a small garden salad . I loved the chicken it was delicious and moist the baked potato was loaded and awesome. And of course, I tried my husband's food also the gyro was good.

So many keto options, delicious omelet, excellent service, Greek food options in a clean well run store. Skipper's has been here a while and does not disappoint 💗

This place was AWESOME. The food, the atmosphere and the service was GREAT! Highly recommend if you are in the area OR if you aren’t, still drive here. It’s totally worth it!

We just experienced the best service of our lives. In fact, it was worth driving to Houston from California to see Cole and his communication skills.
Besides that, the food was excellent! The owner was super nice and helpful.

Wonderful local breakfast shop. Quaint atmosphere, cozy seating, friendly wait staff.

Was able to sit right down and served by Krista (spelling?). Took our order, food came out perfect, hot, and delicious.

Waters were kept full and we were not lost in the shuffle during what seemed to be an unusually busy time.

Before you walk in the restaurant, customers who are leaving greet you with a smile. Once we entered, we received a warm genuine welcome. This was our experience while there...feeling welcome. The food was delicious and down homemade 😋. Prices were a sweet ending to a filling and tasty breakfast. My husband and I intend to make this place our regular stop to dine whenever we visit Kemah. Thank you'll for the excellent hospitality!!!!

Owner/Manager was working just as hard as his team. Great food. Home like atmosphere. Tons of regulars and they all got treated like family. Good job!

Google reviewers did not disappoint!!! Tried Skipper’s for the first time this morning. Food was delicious, hot and straight from a Southern Country Kitchen 🤤🤤. They lived up to all the Best Bkfst awards on the wall. I never eat home fries and let me tell you I’m glad I tried them here. Service was great- definitely will be back soon

I was sitting at the counter when you came to pay and complain. You were very rude from the beginning and the owner was being nice to you. If price is an issue for you then use your phone to total up before you order. The small businesses are struggling enough already. You should be ashamed of yourself telling him that’s why it’s been 11 yrs for an award. Skipper’s is a staple and has been here for 30 years and some of the nicest people. You should probably stay home and cook from now!!!

On Tuesday the 14, I was at skippers with my daughter eating and hanging out. I myself witnessed the conversation between this lady and the owner, and I felt bad for not only the owner, everyone else in the restaurant , as well as her son who was extremely embarrassed. It was almost like every attempt to try and put down a restaurant that has supported its community, has the best food at a great price, and the service is that good. So, the shame is on you lady, because everyone who eats at skippers enjoys the ambiance, food, and service. I believe your disconnect is within yourself, and the negativity you breathe online affects no one but you.

Been looking for a good breakfast place and I’m so glad I found this one. It was delicious. My entire family loved their meals. Service was fantastic and very fast despite being so busy.
