Crow's Country Cafe

If you’re looking for a home time feel and good ole’ scratch kitchen, then wait no longer to visit Crows County Cafe in downtown Anna. The service, food and atmosphere was second to none.

I got the the Chicken Fried Steak, (CFS). It came with a side salad and you can replace two sides for Baked Potato. I opted for the Baked Potato and it was loaded to the top. The chicken fried steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork, no knife needed here. Also had the Crows Feet which was potato Skins.

You feel like you’re stepping back in the ole’ days. Just needed to saddle up your horse and trot on over.

Crow's Country Cafe is a quality small town diner serving southern comfort food. The ambiance makes this place special with country decor and unique use of space within the solid brick walls. They have a wide selection of food with their country fried steak being extra delicious. Wonderful experience, perfect for groups.

We ate there for lunch on Sunday. The place feels and looks like an old country diner should. They had a brunch buffet going but we ordered off the menu. Chips, salsa, and queso to start. The salsa was the star of that show. For lunch I had fried catfish, fried okra, and mashed potatoes and the wife had the Crow's Toes, fried green tomatoes, and mashed potatoes. Every was delicious and hot! The catfish was one of the better ones I have had. We will return!

First time eating here, my husband and I had the catfish,I will say we will be back the food was perfect hot and fresh and our waiter was phenomenal. relaxed country feel to it. Looking forward to trying the steak

I think I found a new local favorite. The chicken fried steak was awesome. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
UPDATE: I have been back many times since my initial review and the experience has been consistent. The wait staff and the food have been awesome. I have tried many different dishes and everything is good.

We came here around 8 on a Wednesday night. Our server was very nice and gave recommendations on what to order. The restaurant is spacious and clean, great decor and food was delicious. Sweet tea was perfect.

Food was AMAZING and soooo good. I had the bbq plate, with loaded mashed potatoes and french fries. Appetizer was fried pickles, and the "crow eggs". Was blown away. Hands down best food my family has had in a while. We will be going back again. Our waiter David was awesome, polite and respectful. Going to be recommending to all my friends and neighbors.

Good ol' southern diner with surprisingly good food. It's rare to find a whole in the wall just outside the city that still can make good drinks, biscuits, fish and steak.

Pot Roast and beef stew will leave you very satisfied. They have a little of everything but these two are my favorites. Taste great, plentiful portions, reasonably priced and great service. What else do you need?

Oh yeah, how about a big ole glass of iced tea or a long neck?

For this type of diner I feel it was great! Food was good portions and tasty. Price point is great and it doesn't try and be something it's not. I will definitely take the family here again.

Went to the Sunday Brunch today and liked everything we ate. Waitress was very attentive and friendly in spite of the number of guests. Be sure to go early if you want them to cook some breakfast, which is an alternative that's included in the Sunday Brunch buffet. Deserts are included as well.

I have not eaten here yet but stopped in to get a menu and some information about the place.The two young pretty girls at the front were so helpful that can't wait to return with my faimly for dinner. Thank you Crows!!

Pretty good food for the price, the squash casserole was awesome. Forgot to take picture before I dug in, the blackened catfish smelt really good.

It's a perfect small town restaurant/bar. Good food, generous portions. Great drink prices and everyone is kind.

The Sunday buffet is the stuff of local legend. Salad, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried corn meal coated catfish, county style vegetables, and slivers of pie are all available in small portions for those, like myself, who like to attempt sampling everything on the buffet. The quality and quantity of the fare make it difficult to stay on one's diet.

Friendly and attentive wait staff. The atmosphere emphasizes rural Texas. Head-in only parking can make finding a parking spot challenging during peak dining hours.
