Best Western Thunderbird Motel

We needed a room last minute due to our RV going into the shop. They were able to accommodate us with a pet friendly room and were flexible with departure time as we awaited the repair completion. Breakfast was great and the attendant was very sweet and on top of it. All around great service and nice, comfortable rooms.

This best western motel was a great find. Everyone is so nice and personable. The rooms are super clean!! Stayed here one night on our way to Nashville and I would hands down stop here again!! The shower is amazing and the beds were super comfortable.

Very clean and hospitable. We felt comfortable like we were family.
The restaurant (El Tapatio) is probably the best Mexican food I've ever had and I've been around. We're actually considering staying a night on the return trip just to eat there again.

Our family stayed here 1 night while traveling cross-country with 2 adults, 2 kiddos, and 1 dog and pull behind trailer. The turn into the parking lot was tight, but once in lot, the parking was fine. 2 story hotel with easy access to rooms. Property and rooms were very clean. The flooing was plank style and looked clean, but after 5 minutes of walking around barefoot, our feet were black. Certainly, it would not deter us from staying here again. Just had the kids keep socks on after their baths. Rooms were good size and had double sinks outside the shower and toilet area, which is really nice for a family of 4 to get ready. Mexican food restaurant in the same parking lot was also good and very convenient. The breakfast offered was a nice selection and the area was spotless. The staff was very welcoming and professional.
This is the best bang for our buck! Our room was under $100!!!

Rooms was clean and fresh including bedding, fridge, microwave, and bath/shower. Will stay there again when going to Cookeville!

We stay here often when traveling to visit family. Very clean rooms. We are always happy to see Angie when we check in! She's the best!

The rooms are clean, and they take dogs. The staff is friendly. They had breakfast ready early at 6, including eggs and sausage/bacon and not just donuts and sweet rolls. There is a good Mexican food restaurant just across the parking lot. It's also easy to get to from I-40.

Stayed for my son's wedding. Rooms were well maintained and comfortable. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was hot with eggs and bacon and or sausage, biscuits and pastries. Alternates each day. Breakfast area is small. Convenient location. Would stay again. Great experience.

Great place to stay when traveling out of town. Rooms were nice and clean.

Needed a place to crash on a long road trip. Really clean room. Smelled fresh and disinfected. Very comfy beds. Front desk very nice. Great breakfast with very sweet woman helping out my kids. Lobby was super clean. You never know what your gonna get but this was a great experience! Will keep this place on my list for future trips!

1) Your rooms were clean.... You could smell the clean. You could see the clean. THANK YOU.
2) the hard surfaces versus carpet helped to keep the room clean. It was appreciated.
3) your dog policy is reasonable when traveling with pets. It was the first doggy motel we had stayed at without two pups. They did well and we were rested to finish our move.
4) the cost of the stay was more than reasonable.

We met the owners/managers in the morning with coffee. What pleasant people. The work they do around their motel shows.

Nancy was INCREDIBLE! She was such a hard worker. Constantly staying busy, taking our plates and even our juice cups. This lady is 10/10! Also, the stay was great too. Lol One of the best complimentary breakfasts I have had at a motel! Rooms were clean and spacious!

Very clean rooms, beds are comfortable and the pillows are soft. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Thrilled that they are pet friendly! Only complaint is lack of green space for pets to potty.

The hotel has had some remodeling since my last visit prior to this one and it looks amazing.

Passing through on vacation. We stopped here and got a double queen room for $130. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was also very good and filling. Definitely made it worth the money spent on the room. Would stop here again!

Flawless motel. I realize it's always up to fellow guests re: how quiet it is but this building is also solid, can't hear footsteps from above, can't hear flushing or shower, quiet as can be. That's rare!

Rooms are impeccably clean. Looks like bathrooms have recently been remodeled, got new hardware and tiling. I always look at the grout and I was happy with sparkling white everywhere.
Beds were great, in the goldilocks sense not to hard, not too soft.
I was stunned that for this price you can get a great experience.

Pleasantly surprised. Outside is outdated but rooms are super clean and they are roomy. I stayed in a double queen, very spacious. Room was very clean and smelled wonderful. Beds were super comfortable and linens were crisp and clean. No bugs. No molds. Bath room was a little small but remodeled and beautiful. Shower and tub combo was great. Double sink was large. Microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker all worked nicely. Traveling as a female alone I felt extremely safe in this location. I enjoyed dinner at the Mexican restaurant next door which was fantastic. Highly recommend this Best Western! Priced just perfectly! Staff was super pleasant upon check in.

I originally reserved this room based on the fact that smoking was allowed- I didn't know such rooms were even still available- and I was fully prepared for the room to not be in the best of condition.
I was very wrong. The room was pretty much spotless and nicely laid out. It was well stocked with plenty of cups and towels- they even did the little triangle folding trick with the toilet paper! I've paid twice as much for rooms that weren't this well kept. I'll definitely stay here again.

Arrived 3am needing to rest from I-40 travel. Called ahead to check on vacancy. Ron answered cheerfully and said to come on through. Super nice guy, got us checked in quickly, politely and without fuss. Single king size bed was amazing, pillows were the best ever - wife and I want them for our own home now. Perfect rest, showers nice and hot, everything immaculately clean. Morning complimentary breakfast with hot eggs, juices, breads, yogurts etc was nice and on-point. Morning breakfast staff was attentive and extremely nice, wonderful ladies with the world's best smiles. Everything was perfect and right, just what we needed and when we needed it. Thanks Best Western.

We always stay here when we visit our family in Cookeville...the room remodel is very nice...love the lights with all the areas to charge devices...the customer service is great...very accommodating if you ask for rooms by each other and such..you are smack dab in the middle of everything at this hotel...all kind of stores ..restaurants..coffee shops etc.. Walmart is down the street as well as Kroger.. it does get busy and sometimes traffic is horrible..but you are on the main road right there and that's to be expected...
Ok so the breakfast area is small but it works...people are constantly rotating in and out.. when we went they had ..biscuits, eggs,sausage, cereal(multiple kinds) waffle maker with multiple toppings, reg and decaffeinated coffee, tea different creamers and sweetners also, juices ... pastries, breads, muffins, bagels, yogurts, fruits etc. Only thing I would recommend is maybe putting one more waffle maker in.. We will continue to stay here ..the hotel is quite and the prices are reasonable..
