Elvira's Cafe

A great place to eat while in the smoky mountains. This small cafe offers big flavors with their delicious homemade meals. While you can’t go wrong with one of the sandwiches they have the best chicken and waffles. Ask for some extra honey sauce for them and you won’t be disappointed.
We recently returned to try there breakfast and we are glad we did. Just as good as there lunch this spot is a must stop anytime of day.

Love finding hidden little gems in my mountains. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff is so nice. The Smoked Gouda Chicken was amazing. Great sized portions. Let’s talk about the delicious crepes for dessert. The best, and not soggy. Be back soon. Thank you

We arrived at 9am when they opened on a Sunday and had no wait. The service was great. We had chicken and waffles, Belgian sugar pearl waffles with eggs and hashbrown casserole, and Tennessee Biscuits and gravy meal. The food was delicious! I will say the waffles are SO SUGARY. If we go back, I'll probably order their eggs, hashbrown casserole, bacon and bread instead of the sugar waffles. My dad really enjoyed the Biscuits and gravy meal. Highly recommend for breakfast!

This place is a MUST! We are foodies and were very impressed with the food here. We kept coming back during our stay and will be dreaming of the delicious meals we had! We tried nearly every breakfast item it was all amazing! But our favorite was lunch. We had the Smoky Gouda chicken sandwich, Fried Shrimp, Chili, kids peanut butter jelly. The fried green tomatoes were the best ive ever had and always try them at every place. They even beat my mom's recipe which is really something. Everyone said each item was the best they ever had! Highly recommend! Service was wonderful too!

We make it a point to drive 7 hours and elvira's is our first stop. They always have fresh food, atmosphere is wonderful and service is always top notch. I would recommend this place for anyone to stop by, i really enjoy this place.

Absolutely delicious breakfast. I had the pork tenderloin biscuit and loved it. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and really enjoyed his meal. We sat outside on a beautiful fall day and it was very special. We will definitely return to try some of the other tasty sounding items on the menu.

We drove and saw how busy it was at breakfast. So we decided to come back by and eat lunch there. What a hidden gem! Server was good, checked on us frequently. Homecooked and delicious!

Delish!!! Was impressed with the food ! Our friend loves this place but our other friend doesn’t so wasn’t sure ! Pleasantly surprised! We had Philly cheese steak fabulous with perfectly crunchy fried okra - wonderful chicken crepe & my Mom had chicken salad with fries everything was really tasty ! Good iced tea also & nice breeze on the porch cool enough outside on 6/29 - service was very good as well ! Can’t wait to go back!

Great country cafe with home style meals. Service was great, food was great. A bit off the path from Pigeon Forge, but that's a good thing with all the commercialized restaurants in this area. I highly recommend this place.

This is fantastic place for breakfast, we ordered pancakes, scrambler and mountain man omlete, all were very good, this place will be our go to spot for breakfast for our next visit. Love the hashbrown caserole. Kim was our waitress and did a fantastic job.

Really fantastic place to eat in Wears Valley. The staff was friendly and personable. The food was great for basic food and i mean that in a good way. The corn grits were over the moon in goodness. The coffee is some of the best I've ever had. This was our favorite place for breakfast out of the 4 days we were in the area. Worth the drive.

We were seated very quickly and our waitress Kim was very sweet and kept our drinks full. The food was amazing I had the fried green tomato BLT on sour dough bread and man it did not disappoint! Plus the prices were reasonable. I definitely recommend going here!

If you don't want to pay in town prices and are wanting great food. Elvira's Cafe is well worth the drive out to Wears valley. Just a short drive from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Sevierville. The food was perfect with big portions and the staff, Kim and Anna are great. Several of us had the Grown ups grilled cheese with chips which was awesome. I also had the Chicken fingers and Waffles which were awesome. Then we had the chicken salad sandwich and last we had the Mahi mahi tacos which were also great. We ate there twice so this is a combination of the two trips. Definitely at the top of our list for places to eat when we return.

A local recommended we try this place for breakfast but we did arrive right at breakfast/lunch switchover so we browsed the shop next door while we waited. (The wait was very reasonable)

The food was fantastic. I had the chicken & waffles and it was probably the best waffle I have ever had. The hot honey sauce was just the right amount of sweet to spicy. Out of our party of 6 - everyone really enjoyed their food.

We would return on future trips to the area.

This is a must try, as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a hello and a smile! Our server GG was outstanding and funny! We ordered the Chicken and Waffles plus the Mountain Man Omelette! Fresh ingredients and made just right! Both were outstanding! Sweet Tea good also! As a added bonus we met the owner Elvira, really sweet and you can tell she cares about her food and the upkeep of her place! Very clean and decorated nice! We loved the hostess and talked with her for while , she was friendly and we could tell she was interested in what we had to say! Thank you to all the staff for being so sweet ! We will be back before heading home to Michigan.

Great spot for breakfast/lunch.
Simple but healthy, delicious meals. Their hashbrown casserole was outstanding! The eggs cooked to perfection just as I asked. Bacon done right. Overall very happy. We also encountered a special guest on our way to the restaurant. A sweet dog 💕
