Buchanan Family Dentistry

My kids and I are new patients to Buchanan Family Dentistry after relocating from across the country. I really appreciate Dr. Buchanan and his team for being so friendly, attentive, and thoroughly answering all my questions. My son has been a little self conscious about some protective fillings on his UA teeth, so he was treatment planned to have them replaced. Dr. Buchanan was able to polish/smooth them out so the staining was gone. He consulted with us about whether or not we’d like to continue replacing them because the appearance immensely improved with the fillings still intact to serve their purpose. Also, my 9yo daughter was terrified; crying and screaming, but his team was able to diffuse the situation and she was able to have a good experience as well. Oh, and the hygienist, Tiffany, is so nice! I love how she hand scaled my teeth versus using a cavitron (sorry if you heard me snore). There’s a stigma about dentists over treatment planning to make money, but I strongly feel this isn’t the case here. Thank you for being our new family dentist!

I honestly could not ask for a better dental group. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and I feel like they have my best interests in mind. It is nice to have finally found a dental group where I do not feel as though they are just telling me I need all of this work done just to fill their pockets. I haven't the slightest idea about dental jargon, but they are quick to explain everything in the event I do need any type of dental work.

If you need a dentist.. Start with Buchanan Family Dentistry. If you are unhappy with your current dental group.. Let this group change your mind about dentistry! 😀

We just moved to Ponca City. Never been to this dentist before. We made a last min appointment cause of pain in my sons front tooth. He ended up needing a root canal and a crown. They squeezed us in no problem. Got it taken care of. The dentist is very personable and was diligent in his care. Lots of testing before the diagnosis so we were making the best care decisions. Very professional office. You can tell everyone is happy working there. Reasonable cost of care. We do have dental insurance. Will definitely come back for myself and family.

Great!! This dentist office is the best ! My son was so nervous but they did so great and even walked him thru everything and answered all his questions. He was 6 and they did amazing! They helped me with my issues and was very gentle and kept asking if I felt ok and if I had pain. To me that’s great service cause they were kind and knew what they was doing! Will always go back! Thank you for such great service!

What a great experience! Hard to say when you go to the dentist but it truly was great! I went to blackwell first and they just made my pain worse. Came here and had excellent care! The dentist is understanding and talks you through the whole thing. The staff was very attentive and ahead of the game when it came to what the doc needed. I was nervous going in due to the previous office making my pain worse. But that was not the case here. He did test first to make sure he was going to find the right solution. I ended up needing my first root canal, which is scary for me . But they literally made it the easiest experience. Very knowledgeable. The place before this put in a filling when I actually need the root canal. I will be back to get the rest of my work done here and bringing back my family. Truly grateful for them and to have found a great office.

Very good experience with new dentist. They were very welcoming and kind to my daughter, little to no wait time, minimal paperwork. They gave us lots of information and were very attentive to my daughter who had a small bit of anxiety since it had been awhile since she went to the dentist. Will be using them for our dental needs from now on, highly recommend.

We have always had such a great experience at this office. From the front desk to the dental hygienists, to Dr. Buchanan - all 5 stars. Even my kids love going! My youngest got 3 fillings today (he is only 6) and they did a great job putting him at ease, being quick and efficient and rewarding him after. Would highly recommend!

I started going to Dr Buchanan's office at the beginning of this year and every single time I have been I have been beyond satisfied. The work he has done I feel was done perfectly and I have not had any issues! The dental hygienist & front desk are wonderful as well and I am amazed with the bedside manner I received. Nobody likes going to the dentist but all of my experiences with Dr. Buchanan's office have been very thorough & comfortable.

Very Friendly! Everyone took their time to make sure me and my family had great care. We’ve been looking for a dentist for awhile now and and after our appointments we each agreed that we had found the right place..Yaaay! Dr. Buchanan is warm and friendly, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain our issues and gave us a game plan for our dental care. Super happy!

I brought my daughter here for her first dentist visit, and had a great experience. They were so sweet to her, we got in and out quickly, very friendly staff, I felt like all of my daughter's needs were met perfectly, and she really liked the dentist and the dental assitant! Highly recommend.

Everyone that works here are so kind and sweet. They make you feel so welcomed and like you’re part of their family. Dr. Buchanan is an amazing doctor who is absolutely wonderful. He makes sure everything is just perfect and that you are happy with the care you receive there. I will never go to any other dental office again. Buchanan Family Dentistry has the most friendly staff! I felt like family the moment I first walked in. The receptionist had the warmest smile and treated me with such care and respect. The hygienist is so gentle and very thorough. She let me know every step of the way what was being done. Dr. Buchanan not only evaluated my teeth but patiently listened to my concerns and even my fish stories while smiling the entire time! It was my first of many visits to this dental practice. I know I made the right choice for my family. I even left with a goody bag for new clients! I am so glad I found Buchanan Family Dentistry!

My stories I share with my friends an family about going to the dentist. Is always about how I don't like going to them, an if they are rough or gentle. Today was very good visit, staff was very nice. Dr Buchanan explained everything, listen an anwser any an all questions an concerns I had; instead of like some places they tell you what they see an then go on to next patients. I've found my dentist hope you do too.

I was a little nervous about going to this appointment because I am a new patient and I haven't been to the Dentist in a long time and expected to be scolded a little. This was not the case at all. They were so great! They were very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Buchanan explained everything he was doing before he did it and I really couldn't be happier with the way my appointment went. I would recommend them to anyone who asked. I am very pleased with my new Dentist and his staff.
