Hillsboro Food Store

Love having this little store close to home. The meat department is my favorite in the area, beating out the bigger stores hands down. They have excellent cuts of meat and great prices. They even offer specials and seasoned selections making dinner an easy task for the night.

Everyone is always incredibly friendly and while the store may be small with fewer options than the big guys, they carry all the staples and then some. Thank you, Hillsboro Market for feeding our community!

It's something about shopping local and supporting your neighbors that makes this store great. They have the best selections of meat products, and will do great deals when you buy 10 lbs or more. Great place to get your basics when you need to.

I love the Hillsboro food store aka “the old lady store” the produce is always fresh. No other store that I know of has fresher meat at a better price. We love the frozen chicken tenders that they have that never seem to be in stock because everyone loves them so when we see them in the freezer we grab them. The store is always clean and organized. The staff is always kind and fun to talk to. I highly recommend this place if you're driving through Hillsboro.

Absolutely love this store. Always greeted with a smile. Some things are a little pricey but if it saves me a trip to Wal-Mart I'm good with the prices. Best meat quality in town, and there prices on meats are great. I shop at Hillsboro Food Store almost daily..

Awesome grocery store with an amazing butcher. Alan always has the highest quality meats and produce (at prices that are better than most supermarkets). I've known the owners for many years,and they are some of the friendliest and kindest people you will meet. Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this store. Their meat is fresh and they have an in-house butcher. I order turkey and ham - cooked and sliced- at least twice a year. I highly recommend the store.

This place is the quintessential mom & pop grocery store. Service is friendly & location is convenient (my mom lives right down the road). Selections are limited because of the small size and prices are a bit higher but the friendly service and convenience more than make up for it.

This is a great mom and pop little grocery store. They have a great deals on meat bundles. Convenient for the Hillsboro area but don't go right after school let's out, extremely busy.

The greatest of meats & produce & the owners & staff are remarkable. They even take it to your car. I've been shopping here for 35+ years, and I'll continue to support such a fine blend of humanity, great food & service. They also cook hams & special cuts of meat.

Always friendly, helpful service. Good to stop for something you might have forgotten on your regular grocery store trip. Excellent meats and poultry. We buy 90% of our meats here.

I'm so glad for this store and where it is located. It helps all of us so many times to prepare our meals especially with items we have forgotten at bigger stores. I do wish there was a nice store in Viola like this one

If you are looking for a great shopping experience in a family atmosphere here is the best. Got the best meats and great price's. I stop in just about daily and see what is going on and say high to the friendly staff.

Ok I'mma be honest I'm from Virginia I lived in hillsboro for about 7 or 8 months but the moment I stepped into that store it felt homey it felt great I love the welcoming atmosphere the staff is incredible and it's a cute little store in Virginia we have Walmarts and food lions everywhere but I'm just amazed that 1 little store can makes a whole town and community come together to make a amazing place 10/10
