Mr Castle is a super man and mechanic! I dare say that there are not many like him around anymore, knows his way around any vehicle. He went out of his way to diagnose and repair my vehicles air conditioning within 2 1/2 days, right before we were leaving to take my son's car to Pensacola, Fla where he is stationed in the Navy. I felt God let me to John as he was the only repair shop I called that did AC work anymore. His prices are better than reasonable, he actually repaired a crack in a coolant line that would have created an issue on our trip. You cannot go wrong taking your vehicle to him!!! God bless you sir!!

John has been my mechanic for 10 years and has always done great work, promptly, and at a very fair price on our cars. Sometimes he charges literally half the price of local dealerships, using the same parts. Especially familiar with all Subarus. Best mechanic I've ever used.

I called about an emergency check, and they were able to fit me in before my long drive. Phillip and Jimmy were so informative, explaining a lot about general car maintenance. They were really fun to talk to, and were so humble they didn't accept half the tip I offered. The next time my car needs anything, this is where I'm taking it! (And I'll make them accept the larger tip!)

So, this is a 'blast from the past' review. I lived in Boone from 1989-2000. John was my mechanic and I bought more than one vehicle from him and Karl. John helped me out so much, so many times when I had no money to spend I can not thank him enough. All the other reviews are absolutely correct about him. John, if you read this, thank you. If you don't remember my name, I'm the guy that had the Blue '76 Datsun pickup I ran through a washed out part of the road down by the river and busted the gas tank. I also bought a Ford Pinto Wagon from you guys, an '81 Chevy Truck and I think the last thing was an '81 Mazda B2000...I know, a lot of years ago. I hope you are well!

John was Amazing! He fixed our brakes while we were vacationing in Boone, NC. He was honest, fair and full of a Love for Jesus and People. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I am so thankful my daughter was able to bring her car in after she had a incident in the snow!! They found a rim & tire also gave the car an alignment for a very reasonable price keeping in mind they are not a tire shop but did what they needed to so my daughter's car would be safe to drive again. Thank you!!
