Sequoyah State Park is one of the best in Oklahoma. I come back time and time again and I'm impressed each time. It's the perfect place for a quick stop to enjoy nature and scenery, to take a weekend camping trip, or spend longer at the lodge or one of the cabins. Park staff is friendly, and the campsites are clean and quiet. There's never a bad view and there's something for everyone. It's the state park I recommend to anyone who asks.

The Choctaw area is very nice for RV camping - concrete pads, full hookups, and fun playground for the kids. Beach/swimming area is close- nice walk. Trailheads are close.
Best part for us was the Nature Center. Live animals! One employee was superb and had lots of information about the animals. (She was a young assistant with a cool tattoo of a storm trooper with flowers.). She fed the snakes and made learning fun. Kids loved her!!! Do not miss the Nature Center - it's the best!!!!

This is the nicest park we have visited. From their quant hotel to their tucked in cabins. There are plenty of things to enjoy at this park. We were fortunate enough to offer our karaoke services for the evening for the Oklahoma Rural Water Association conference and everyone had a blast. The setting location and the people were awesome. Best venue so far!

Sequoyah state park is nice place to rv camp. Stayed in pull through site with full hookup. We like to hike and bike but all trails were closed do to controlled hunt, that left us with the streets, bummer! The lodge and cabins looked as if they were built in the 1950's.
Will go back!

Honestly this is one of the best parks / state parks I have ever been to. Not only was the lake amazing but the camping hookups were easy to use and navigate. The onsite bathrooms and showers were excellent. There were at least half a dozen trails you could navigate, some even joining each other. They have a golf course, a lodge, and a marina. Among a lot of nice beaches and other amenities. It is well taken care of.

Highly recommend.

If you hike (especially with higher temps) bring an abundance of water..also use a big repellent..there are lots of mosquitoes and ticks and spiders. Paved trail shorts are ok but the wild trails I recommend long pants and decent shoes..

We stayed at camp site 13 at Tent Creek and it was amazing. Super close to the restrooms, which were incredibly clean. Showers were exceptionally clean as well. Will definitely come here again. It made camping with kids way easier.

We stayed five nights at the State Park in the Choctaw area with full hook ups and pull through site. This park has a beautiful nature center, golf course, lodge, restaurant and a beautiful lake surrounding on this peninsula. Had a wonderful time and so peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend.

Stayed here this weekend and pleasantly surprised. The cottages were very nice. Lots of great amenities. Swadleys did a great job of renovating the restraunt. Was worried about the food since swadleys no longer runs it but it was decent in quality and price. Plan to come back with test of family later in spring and summer. All the staff were helpful and courteous. Thanks for a great weekend.

Beautiful park that has shelters, swim beach, bike trail, stables, hiking trails, nature center, lodge, golf course, and several campground. It is HUGE! We only hiked the Fitness trail (.6 Mile), and we loved it. It was an easy hike with beautiful scene. I wish we had more time to hike other trails ( total trail length: 10 Mi)! The Three Forks Nature Center is rich in history. For people who love animals, it is a great place to spend time and learn more about the animals that they are taking care of here. Playful Red fox and super cute otter stole my heart. They were super cuteeeee.

Such a beautiful hidden jem. You don't need to stay the night to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Everyone needs a place to clear their head, this is mine.

Wonderful RV sites. Paved road all the way and easy access from HWY 51. We stayed in site 26 in the Seminole campground. It has water, electric and sewer. It's a great spot with a nice big concrete pad, large concrete pick nick table and concrete walk way to the fire ring. It's just a short walk to the rocky beach with amazing sunsets. The park has a swingset and a rock to climb on in the park. Only downside to this site is the septic holding for the park is right behind this site. When the wind blows just right you can smell the stink. Overall this is another amazing Oklahoma State Park.

This place is full of fun things to do. From the lodge to the campgrounds to the camping, hiking trails, golf, fishing, boating, boat rentals, horseback riding, golf, swimming, nature center, this place is stacked full of exciting things to do. You can even catch sight of loads of wildlife. Well worth the trip to visit.
