After a wonderful meal at The Rivers & Rails Tavern, we stumbled upon a park sign on the way back to our hotel in Bryson City. We were pleased to spend time at this park located on the river bend. It was tranquil just watching and listening to the river flow. My husband and son ventured down the hiking trails while I kept my mom company on the fishing dock. We fell in love with Dillsboro and will probably spend more time there on our next visit to the area.

Our family stumbled upon this beautiful park while vacationing last summer. Gorgeous views from atop the hill, we treated ourselves to luscious blackberries on the way up. Wonderful!

This park is a hidden gem for families! It's got the usual plastic cookie cutter playground (with restroom next to it!) but the real benefit for families is the wide open grassy field and the paths along the creek. There are lots of spots to stop and fish, dig, toss rocks, and explore. It's great for kids who like a little adventure (don't they all?). The museum is also really well organized and interesting if you come on a day when it's open.

Really great park. The museum is only open at certain times right now. But they are working hard as they have for the last several years to get everything restored on the historic house to be able to be open year round.

Nice place to picnic! Was also able to get a good 30 minute walk close to the creek.

Playground and trails could use some TLC, but I love bringing my kids here instead of the other playgrounds because it's quiet, scenic , and lots of room for them to run

We go out here to walk our dog. At least we don't have to worry about getting hit with baseballs. Nice and quiet

There was an otter when we got there, but it scurried off before I got a pic. But this little guy was moving quickly.
