The Village of Banner Elk

Decided to try Primo since it use to be Barra (sports bar). So glad we did. We loved our meal & evening here. Drinks were amazing. Our waiter was attentive & friendly. Loved the chandeliers. The salad we shared was a great size & delicious. The garlic knots are addictive! Our meals were delicious. Even had dessert - tiramisu was perfect. We are thinking that we will dine here way more often than when it was Barra.

We arrived in Banner Elk late and in the middle of snow coming down in April. Every place was pretty much closed except the bar part of this restaurant. The manager on duty was very accommodating and opened up a spot in the closed dining section, after we realized the bar was playing really loud (but good music). We love music but after a long day of driving we were just tired and wanted to relax. Definitely sounded like a fun place if you were wanting to go hang out at night.
The whole place was decorated really nice with beautiful paintings, especially the dining area. I felt bad that they opened up a table just for us but the staff never once made us feel like we were a bother. Our waitress, Jordan Y., was excellent and very personable. She was younger but very professional and a joy to talk with while we enjoyed our delicious meal. My husband had the Veal Parm and I enjoyed the crab cakes. Both were great and we were so thankful for being able to eat a wonderful meal so last minute and late. Would highly recommend!

Great experience at Primo. The atmosphere was comfortable, yet refined. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Each staff member took pride in their craft. Hats off to Parker for great wine selection and expert mixology. Tyler was very attentive and the flambe chef entertained the entire room. Definitely a diamond of a find in Banner Elk.

Angela P was our server, at Sorrento's and I cannot say enough about the excellent service Angela gave my son and I, last week. She was one of the best servers that I have ever had anywhere! Sorrento's food was delicious and well-priced for the quality of the food. I will definitely dine here again and highly recommend Sorrento's and Angela to all of my friends!

My wife and I made a spontaneous decision to get some dinner while we were travelling through Banner Elk, NC, and ended up choosing to eat at Sorrento's Italian Bistro. From the moment we were seated, the experience was phenomenal. Our server was Connor, who made every effort to ensure that we had everything we needed, and that our appetizers and entrees were brought out quickly. Connor made sure to check in every so often as well to top of our drinks and to box up leftovers as we moved from dinner to dessert. The food itself was fantastic; the calamari was the best that I have had since moving to North Carolina, and the parmigiana was cooked expertly, with a bed of pasta that was delicious as well. Our cappuccinos and cannoli topped off the evening, and Connor even threw in a few extra garlic knots for our to go box, which was an unexpected treat when we got home. There was literally nothing that was wrong with our meal, our service, or the price for dinner, and I will most assuredly be back to eat at Sorrento's again!!

Sorrents, Prime 21, Primo, and Chef's table located in Downtown Banner Elk are all phenomenal restaurants and a place to meet good people. My wife and I absolutely love the restaurants. Try it, you'll love it!!!

Awesome food, great service and huge portions! My wife and I went to Sorrento's this evening for part of our 20th Anniversary Weekend. They were able to get us a table much quicker than expected. The location was very busy but in spite of that the Food, Quality and Service was on point. My wife and I started off with the Fried Mozzarella which was wonderful and then she had Fettuccine Alfredo w/ Fried Chicken and I had the Tortellini w/ Grilled Chicken and it was awesome. Our waitress Tessa was great, she was on it and took great care of us in spite of the restaurant being beyond super busy. Great evening overall!

Best restaurants in NC. Concerts, good food, and awesome atmosphere!

My family and I are hear on vacation for thanksgiving week and I made a reservation because nothing else seemed to be available or decent enough. To my surprise, they had a thanksgiving meal on the menu with turkey, gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes and everything was DELICIOUS. I told our server that it was probably the best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time. My husband had the steak and he was very happy with his meal as well. We’ll definitely come back next time we stay in the area.

We had a wonderful dinner at Sorrento’s. Each entree was cooked perfectly, even with special requests. The appetizers and desserts were equally delicious! We enjoyed sitting outside on the back patio and having Riley as our server. She did an excellent job! We will be back!

We stopped in to check out the place, grabbed a beer at the bar and ordered a pizza and enjoyed our time at the firepit while listening to live entertainment, more important than a good evening had by us, the bar tender Jordan was very kind, helpful and very nice. On a busy Friday night he made our experience even that more pleasant. I even made a point to stop by today to tell the MOD on duty (10/22) about him and his service. Thanks Jordan, we had a great night.

Enjoyed delicious food with amazing setting and service. Our waiter Lane was so friendly and professional. Anthony took great care of our dinner experience. Sorrento’s is a must go to restaurant in NC. We will definitely return.

We had the most delicious meal at Sorrento's and were served by Scott, who handled his extremely busy section with grace. He greeted us and every table with a smile and took the time to make suggestions to all his customers without neglecting one table. The food was delicious and the white cosmo was the best I have ever had.

Great dinner last night. Food was awesome and on time. Autumn was our waitress and did a fantastic job of waiting on our crew.
Atmosphere was very good also.

Our family of 10 visited Sorrento’s while vacationing and it was the best dining experience we have all had in a long time. Kevin was super friendly, professional and kind! He seated all of us and provided exceptional service. The atmosphere was great and the food did not disappoint. We loved the pizza, pasta and sushi. We will highly recommend Kevin and Sorrento’s at the Village of Banner Elk!

Hands down, the most enjoyable moment I've had in Banner Elk at Sorrento's. The people, all of them from the manager, the host of the bristol, the bartenders, the wait staff and including the guests of Sorrento's are a collection of the finest people in Banner Elk. Thank you all.....see you soon.

We recently held a rehearsal dinner with 60 guests at Sorrento's. They did an excellent job with communicating, service and food. Staff was very professional and courteous. Very pleased with everything! I would highly recommend to anyone.
