Dunn's Deli

We were just strolling around Banner Elk and decided to give this place a try. Most the other food joints seemed more tailored to fancy skiing types. Very glad we picked this place because it felt authentic and the food was delicious. I got the special of the day, a pimento cheese party melt and loved it.

Pretty dingy inside, but not awful. Staff was very friendly. Parking was mostly off-street.

Highly recommend you plan to eat or grab a beer here if you’re coming to Banner Elk!

Stopped by Dunn’s Deli for a quick breakfast on our way out of town. It happened to be St. Paddy’s day and this is the perfect spot to come on this holiday!

Had an amazing bagel sandwich with bacon pictured below and a loaded croissant sandwich which I devoured before I could get a picture! Both sandwiches were perfectly hot and delicious!

Best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had!

The croissant was so flaky and buttery and was pressed perfectly and the bagel was so fresh! I only wish we’d stopped here before we were leaving!! We will def come back and highly recommend Dunn’s Deli!

Kid-friendly, fast service, beautiful views. Food is good. Excellent gravy. Go-to for comfort food that isn't greasy.

Was expecting more of a cold serve deli counter kinda thing. Pleasantly surprised to walk in and find it's more of a "grill."

Had the whole Philly cheese steak (which was massive) and my wife had the #7.

Both sandwiches were delightful. The man at the counter was super helpful. And the girl who called our order upon completion was super polite.

$1 PBR and HighLife all day everyday

A little on the pricey side... Because everything is these days... But this will definitely be a more regular spot.

This place was very good. Sandwiches hit the spot perfectly. I had the hot Italian which was very tasty. Daughter had Cuban which was good for a non-Miami one.
The only down was my wife had Tuna salad sandwich which had something sweet like sweet relish that she did not like. My brother in law did not mind it so it was not enough to not be 5 stars.

Delicious!! We had the black bean burger and the Apollo sandwich and both were so so good! Make sure to add a scrumptious cookie for just an additional 10 cents when you order. It's worth it! Super friendly customer service!

Nice aesthetic, tasty eats, and friendly service!

Overall great experience, they were extremely busy but operated with efficiency. Really good food, like REALLY good. Was worth the wait and the bit of chaos. The guy who took orders was a bit gruff and insistent but that was honestly appreciated to keep things moving quickly.

This was a very pleasant find. Great steak and cheese sub. The Palmetto Burger was awesome as well as the pastrami sandwich.
Great service. Not a fancy place. Just great food. Good portions. Reasonable prices.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches! My wife and I got the #7 sandwich and it was soooo good. Good value for price and quick service, too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

This daily has the most amazing food from their sandwiches to their burgers to their potato salad. Everyone there is absolutely the most friendliest people that I have come acrossed no better customer service have I ever seen. If you're looking for a great deli sandwich it's the place to go I would give them five stars hands down if I could give him or I would but the system on allow it definitely if you're in that area stop by and try them out you'll never regret it.

My husband and I both got sandwiches and they were delicious. I'm gluten free and the bread they use is as close as you can get to the real thing. I was very impressed. The potato salad was yummy too!

The sandwiches were very good. But someone needs to take more pride in the property grounds. What the environment your customers are eating in is just as important as what comes out of the kitchen.

Love Dunn's deli! Best breakfast in town HANDS DOWN! stuffed French toast! Huge Croissants! Look no further to get fat on breakfast. Also beer available! Wow!!!

By far, the best place we ate in beech mountain. Not only are they celiac/gluten free friendly but they are fast, cheap and everything was always perfectly cooked. Ate here every morning. Highly recommended!

Some of the best sandwiches I've had in North Carolina. Best lunch spot in Banner Elk. Delicious food with reasonable prices. Extremely friendly as well. Couldn't recommend it more.

Ate lunch here several times. Got the Monte Cristo and it was awesome. Then got the Philly and it was great. Next I got a cheese burger and it was delicious. I would highly recommend Dunn's to everyone.

I ordered a whole philly cheese steak and a Barqs root beer.... It was straight up 5 stars... fresh hot... excellent deli! And the staff was wonderful as well.

Great sandwich place starring Boar's Head meat selections. Great price for how high the meat is PILED UP on your sandwich and it comes out quick for how busy this place is. Fresh croissants, homemade potato salad and cole slaw put this place on another level. PLUS: Dollar longneck beers on the weekend!!

The best biscuits/breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. They were warm from the oven and made to order. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced they were- would have gladly paid more for such deliciousness.
