Ray's Supermarket

Found out this place was less than 10 miles away, so we checked them out. I'm definitely going back! We got some great ribeyes, some seasoning, and had an overall great experience. The people at this store were very respectful and helpful. I was glad to find some good grilling material and some Nehi grape and other glass bottle sodas. I plan on going back for more steaks, breakfast meats, a few treats, and some good conversation. Glad we found this place!

Great old fashioned country store and Butcher Shop! Great selection of hard to find items and the service was excellent 😊they even have bread, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer as well as a fully stocked meat counter in the middle of the pandemic! Stop by and get a pack of Ribeyes, NY Strips, T Bones, or Porterhouse 4 steaks for $20

Old time down home country store in the classic tradition. Shockingly broad selection. Worth a drive just to check out.

Service was great and Hot link sausage will also be great.

Fresh meats cut on site , local fame for foodies is their air dried link sausage, personally I know a man that drives from 60 miles away to stock up on those links .

Great market with a ton of locally made products. The staff is super friendly, the prices are incredible and the butcher section had the appearance that the meat had been cut within the hour. A variety of steaks, multiple burger blends, monster pork chops, house made sausage and so much more. Check it out.

Tucked away off of old US 1, this unassuming market in Moncure holds a bit of everything, but their specialty is their meats, spices, and sauces. After visiting I would also say the people at Ray's are also their specialty. Everyone we spoke with was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Travis, behind the meat case, spent a long time with us running us through what they offer, their butcher processes, and his suggestions. Kevin, the owner came out and met us and spoke to us as well. It made us feel very welcomed.

We walked away with a slew of meats and spices including Ray's house ground and made bacon burgers, skin-on thick-cut bacon, bone-in pork chops, andouille sausage, 10lbs of chicken breast, lose mild sausage, and thick cut bologna for frying (Travis recommended 8-10 cut thickness which will prevent the bologna from curling when fried) 😊.

If you find yourself in Moncure and have a hankering for house cut, house ground and mixed meats, a smorgasbord of bbq sauces and spices or simply some good conversation, Ray's is definitely worth your time and money!

10/10 you cannot beat their meat or the good quality service they provide! Try the Kevin Cuts you'll love them!

Ray's is definitely a go to when we are in the area. Sometimes we drive from Angier to go out there when we are craving some delicious meats! Love everyone here, always a pleasurable experience.

This place is a hidden gem! I ordered 2 filet mignons for today and they we awesome! Thick and very tender! So much better than Publix or Wegmans. Very nice people!

I love Rays they are family owned and operated for one thing. They seem (for a small grocery) to have what I need and their meat is fantastic, especially the kevin cut ribeye. It may be a little pricey but when you cut into one of these steaks you know why.

Always a pleasure when I shop at Ray's. The owner, Kevin Stone, and his employees always put forth a cheerful effort in meeting the customer's request. Wether it is at the meat counter (cuts provided per customer request), beer (the coldest in Chatham County), groceries, hardware, plumbing or local gossip, the staff at Ray's are ready to serve.

I always have a great experience. My daughter likes going here too and she's only 2 and a half ! Lol
