Little Red Caboose Sandwich

This is easily one of the best Hot Dog joints in Forsyth County, alongside Kermit's. The Restaurant is unique for utilizing old railroad equipment, specifically an ex-Southern Railroad Caboose as the kitchen, and a Boxcar used as a Dining Area. Granted, the Boxcar does make the dining area a tad cramped, but that shouldn't deter you away from the restaurant, because that is more than made up by having some of the best hot dogs in Winston-Salem.

Great hot dogs. Serves breakfast an other lunch items. A must Stop place.

I have always lived this place. The best hot dog I've ever had. Just a little hole in the wall but definitely worth the stop. Everything is always fresh you will never get old or cold fries. Friendly service.

The stars don't go high enough for the great tasting food. Atmosphere is dull and small inside. Outside accommodations are available. Best hamburger and hot dog I ever eat. Sweet tea is great. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Was looking for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich here in Winston. Sure enough, finally found one. Good food, affordable and very delicious. Has a 95 food rating. Outdoor seating and lots of parking. Will not be disappointed.

First time experience was awesome. I had their Hot Dog special and they were delicious. The fries were great and the service was just so friendly. As a former Restaurant Owner I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Best hot dogs ever. Been eating here for 25 plus years and prices have gone up but the quality of food has stayed the same.

It isn't a fancy restaurant by any means. It's a high end food truck with some of the best southern sandwiches ever. They have some of the best hot dogs in Winston Salem. My favorite is the fried bologna and egg sandwich. With cheese, of course.

They have great hot dogs and food is always hot and fresh. They do boil the hotdogs so I would suggest letting them know if you want them fried but other than that everything you order is awesome!!!!

Love the caboose burger, high quality meat and ingredients. Sitting in the train car with my nephew, he said it's just like taking a train ride with good food. Employees are excellent as well.

Excellent food every time.. staff is very friendly and your food comes out fast.. great option for someone with a 30 minute lunch break.. If you've never been here, I would highly recommend giving it a try.. it's probably in my personal top 5 burger places in the Winston Salem area.

Wow! I mean wow absolutely delicious food you wouldn’t think it but it is my first time and wonderful crew on shift super nice and the food was off the hook compliments to the chef

I've worked here for some time and will say this place is very clean and worth a try for those who never been. The owners are good people and take pride in their business so check it out and I recommend the double caboose burger, hope you guys enjoy!

I been here. The food is the best in the city. Only place to go for a good hot dog but the rest of their food is good too.i didnt know when they were open anymore since I dont live in Winston. Now I do. Thanks so much. This place is teriffic!💖

Greatest breakfast sandwiches. They have the best bacon and pile it high. Make sure you get a grilled bolonga sandwich. Great Hotdogs & Hamburgers

Really novel little hot dog stand that has been there for over 50 years. The fries are always fresh the lemonade is great, and kids really love the fact that they are in a real train caboose.
