Poppy's Coffee Shop

Super cute coffee shop that offers an array of coffee and fresh baked goods. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. Hike there or choose to take a vehicle. They also offer clips to attach your dog too while you go inside to order.

Great place! Had a chai latte that was good. Lots of pastries and yummy treats. Most are baked inhouse. Can get to go or enjoy in spacious dining area. Order a cheesecake ahead. Delicious!!!

Awesome local place! Make sure you stop here! Ate scones, quiche, bagels, and lattes. All delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

Perfect place for our daily latte fix. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. They were out of half and half which was fine. But they found some in the back to make my latte the way I like. Really appreciated it. Kids love the smoothies and cinnamon rolls. We came back twice in one morning.

We've been visiting Beech Mountain for many years but had never been to Poppy's until this week. Wow what an AWESOME addition it is!

Great drink and food selection and lots of cool items for sale. We didnt have a chance to hang out but the lounge area is very nice and has comfortable furniture. We're cannot wait to go back! Keep up the great work!

Stopped at Poppy’s before we went to the Land of Oz. The customer service was great. Options and variety were wonderful. We loved sitting out on the porch in the nice weather and enjoying our coffee, bagel and quiche. So many yummy goodies to choose from to have with my coffee. We will be back tomorrow morning for more coffee before we head down the mountain.

Best thing on Beech Mountain and now with outdoor seating on a lovely deck or cozy up in the delightful dining area. I can have my favorite beverage and baked goody of choice and so many to choose from. The refrigerated pies are amazing. My family enjoyed a chocolate raspberry pie twice. I want to try all of them. Your favorite pooch is also welcome on the new deck. You will be greeted with smiles and excellent service. Lynn Doolittle

Convenient location and great coffee! What more could you as for at the top of a mountain? Their black coffee is solid and definitely worth a try. They didn’t have a ton of breakfast options but you could get a muffin or scone if you are hungry. Great service too!

Love this coffee shop! It's such a needed addition to Beech Mountain. Not only is it super cozy and nicely decorated, the coffee is great and they have a nice assortment of baked and packaged goods...even Paleo and gluten free treats. Highly recommend!

Such a great place! The coffee is great and the family staff are amazing! The new outdoor deck and refreshed exterior are beautiful and make having a coffee or bite so enjoyable. A must for anyone visiting Beech Mountain!

This is a great coffee shop. First the coffee is excellent. Quality, rich, flavorful. They spent money on this and you can taste it. Second, the place has BEAUTIFUL interior design. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but trust me, go on inside and you'll be glad you did. Service is excellent and besides great coffee, they have lots of yummy back goods, bars and Poppy's Coffee Toffee, popcorn--DEE LISH!!....made right down the road in Asheville. I highly recommend this place!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We loved sitting outside on the deck area with our dog. Enjoyed scone and muffin with good coffee. Doesn’t get much better than this

GREAT spot for coffee! Perfect location right next to ski resort entrance. Absolutely delicious iced coffee, a great variety of coffee and espresso drinks, delicious local pastries as well. Kid friendly, great service, free Wi Fi. An awesome local coffee shop. I will absolutely be back!

Owner is very sweet. The coffee is very smooth and they have a very wide variety of cold and warm drinks. They also sell locally baked goods such as banana bread, brownies, muffins, bagels, pumpkin bread, scones, and sticky buns.

Great coffee shop. Great service. Had both of their regular coffees (light and medium) and they were excellent. Much more than coffee as well. The inside was a cozy, super clean environment.

i wrote a huge, detailed review but it got erased so I'll give the basics...
the prices are high but everything is high on Beech. ordered the iced caramel macchiato and the espresso they use it very good. the hot chocolate had a great taste as well but a grainy texture my daughter didnt care for. my othee daughter ordered an caramel frapp and had drank half before we walked out so I'm assuming it was good. i havent tried the espresso bar on top of Beech by the mini golf but when i do, I'll give my honest opinion on which one is better and I'll factor in the pricing also..but overall i am quite satisfied. good job poppys! oh and they have other types of drinks to choose from muffins, cookies, and other assorted items that i glanced at.
