Magee General Hospital

Just got back home from an unexpected trip to MGH's emergency afterhours clinic. Going to the ER is never fun, and I have to express my sincere thanks to the professional and efficient team at MGH. We were processed in very quickly, and our care team (Dr. Gillespie and NP Amanda May) were kind, caring, efficient, and effective. Took care of my problem very well. My wonderful wife, who has medical concerns of her own, was with me, and they even took time to make her more comfortable. Top notch team. Kudos to all!

I received excellent care and found the nurses, etc. to be kind and compassionate during my recent trip to the ER at the Magee General Hospital. I wanted to thank them for making an unfortunate accident as pleasant an experience as possible.

Thank you to all the MGH staff that took such excellent care of my mother. From the ER staff, provider and respiratory therapists, to the nurses, techs, NPs on the floor, every single person made my mother feel like she was the only patient in the facility. From the bedside manners to explaining the procedures and diagnosis, everyone was kind, considerate and cared that my mother was very well taken care of. Thank you to all of the MGH staff.

I visited Magee General Hospital on 9/28/2021 and to say my experience was extremely satisfying is a understatement. I would like to inform you that one of the employees Mrs. Mary Hall seen that I was having trouble finding the Out patient area and processed to walk with me to my destination. She not only ensured I found where I needed to be, but that I was taken care of as well. Our walk to the Out patient area was filled with Joyful conversation and true kindness. What a wonderful feeling it was to know she truly cared about not only my experience at the hospital but my well being as well.

My husband and I got our Covid 19 vaccines at MGH. We could not have asked for any better service. The staff was right on it, no delays and they were super friendly and caring. Thank you and a big shout out to the nurses and support staff administering the vaccines. Awesome and well done job. May God Bless and keep you safe.

I had a wonderful experience at MGH. Pam Wallace made sure I received the care I needed. She gave detailed instructions as well as, facilitated my care. I was met by the ER provider, Meredith, who made sure I received a thorough assessment. She listened to my symptoms and explained ways I could benefit from their services. She spoke to me as if we were good friends, which I very much appreciated. Did I mention I did not have a wait time? When you do not feel good, that is something you take into consideration. Eli was my ER nurse who spent ample time explaining my procedure, making sure I fully understood, and provided every comfort measure he could possibly provide. Our community is blessed to have such a caring and knowledgeable facility. I was not just a patient; I was family. Thank you again for the wonderful experience.

I received both doses of my Covid vaccine through Magee General, and I was very impressed by the ease of the administration process. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly, efficient, and well skilled. Thank you for having clear wayfinding through your drive-thru site, so I knew exactly where to go. It made the process easier and less stressful.

Out patient facility here at MGH is excellent . I highly recommend all , if or when you are due for a procedure consider them for your care . In my case , I had foot surgery on both feet and the out patient nurses , anesthesiologist , and Dr. Denver Carter did a amazing job in giving me top notch care . I give them 5 star all the way . Way to go Magee General Hospital … keep up the outstanding job.

I received excellent service and care as a patient at MGH on two different occasions recently. From outpatient to ER service all staff were professional, thoughtful, caring, and knowledgeable. Thank you for putting your patients first!

If you haven't been to Magee General Hospital lately, let me tell you what a refreshing change has been made. It is sparkling clean, the staff genuinely cares about you and your health and it shows. The service I received was excellent! Thank you to the staff and GREAT JOB!

My grandfather was a patient recently at Magee General. The staff was excellent with him and he formed a bond with many of them. Even though he has been discharged, the staff still asks me about him. We are so lucky to have this facility in our community.

The staff at MGH were very courteous and helpful in scheduling our COVID-19 vaccination shots. They were knowledgeable and very friendly in person and over the phone. The entire process took less than 15 minutes including the paperwork and injection. This hospital is great for scheduling and administering the COVID-19 vaccination.

Thank you to the MGH ER who treated my baby girl (17months old) on Nov 23, 2020 for an bilateral Ear infection. We had been on two rounds of antibiotics for her ears, previous to our visit. Finished one on Friday and she seemed better, by Monday she was running a high temp and vomiting. Brad in the ER was exceptional and kept this worried Moma updated. They were speedy and very professional.

We had tried the MSDH website to get an appointment for the Covid Vaccine with no success. They told us 3 times to call back at a later date. Called the Magee General Hospital and the operator gave me a number to call for the vaccine appointments. To make a long story short we got our first shot the next morning and we had our second shot yesterday. The nurses were awesome and we could not be happier with them and their attention to us. thank you Magee General Hospital nurses for your compassion and attention to detail.

Last week when I tested positive for COVID and could not get my doctor at the big hospital in Jackson I really did not what to do. I knew I needed the monoclonal antibody infusion. I ended up getting my infusion at Magee General. even though it was an hour from my home, the professionalism and friendliness of everyone there made the drive well worth it. I just want to thank everyone, from the nurses to the pharmacist, at MGH for helping me through this tough time.

My husband received his 1st Covid shot at Magee General Hospital. He was very complimentary to the young nurse, Angela for taking the time to explain the process. He was greated immediately and was completed in 30 minutes which included his 15 minute wait after the shot. Thanks Magee General Hospital!

It is with a grateful heart and sincere gratitude that I compliment Magee General Hospital and it’s entire staff from the moment I was admitted until dismissed with this Covid .

Special thanks go to Ms Brenda Edwards (my sidekick), Ms Rebecca Jones and Ms LeAnn Shows for the awesome care they provided during my treatment. I cannot say enough about how professional each of you were. Yet at the same time, laughing along with my “crazy self”. This mess is no joke and each of you are to be admired for putting yourself and your own families at risk each and every day.

I would also like to say how grateful I am am to have such a great facility, Magee General Hospital in our hometown of Magee. They may not be as big and quite as equipped as the larger hospitals, but I feel they have saved a many of a life until that person could be transported to a more equipped facility.

Again to Brenda, Rebecca and LeAnn. I would like to say a personal Thanks to each of you for all you did. Just know you will always be loved by me.

Just recieved my second vaccine at Magee General Hospital. The friendly staff made it seamless from start to finish. We didn't have to wait in a long line and they took very good care of us. Thanks Magee General Hospital.

I had a great experience here today. The employees are friendly and helpful and the environment is calm. I can’t stress enough how kind everyone has been here. The facility is quiet, clean, and pleasant. This is is least stressful experience I’ve ever had in a hospital. I was very impressed.

Just left Magee General after my husband was treated for Covid. The process from check in to treatment and discharge was seamless. All the staff we encountered were friendly and very
helpful.
