Cater's Market Meridian

What a cute, cozy, concept! This little gem is well worth stopping by if you’re in the area. The service was friendly and the food has a home cooked feel. Inside there’s a bakery case with a variety of fresh baked goods, a coffee station, and cases and cases of refrigerated to go items like chicken salads, pimento cheeses, and frozen versions of entrees they sell on the regular. In the dining area there are shelves of various nick- nacks to buy and even an olive oil station where you can infuse your own oil to buy. Overall, I was impressed and wowed by this one. Cater’s Market, you started my Saturday off right. Glad we found you. I’ll definitely stop by again when we’re passing through. 👍🏽

*Note for my gluten sensitive friends, their hash browns are shredded potatoes cooked in olive oil. As per usual, let them know and they’ll happily point you in the right direction.

Good food, nice cashiers and wait staff. Enjoyable to have a quiet meal and good desserts. There to go variety for heating up later is really nice.

This is a quaint little place I had never been to. I met a friend for an early lunch, her choice of where. The egg salad sandwich was wonderful and the sweet tea was just right. They had a whole display of sweet treats (lemon bars, blueberry crumble squares, cookies, brownies) that I did not try, but my friend says they are really good. It's not necessarily somewhere I would have gone by myself, mostly because I didn't know exactly what they served, but I will go back. It was quite enjoyable!

Pricy but worth it.

I would not eat there every day but I do enjoy there cheese grits!

Had 15 of us to eat there after a service. It was great. Friendly smile with great service. Food was crazy good. We will all look forward to going back.

Cozy cafe to have breakfast in with shelves full of all sorts of snacks and food stuffs from local organic producers. Truly a small town gem!

Love their chicken salad with the pita chips! My favorite lunch! Love that they have a community garden. Enjoyed walking through it! I don't participate because I have my own! All the cakes are some of the best best best I've ever had! Worth the price!
Was a little disappointed in a casserole because I like my food highly seasoned. But I know others who love them! Everything's pretty high-end and pricey but in my opinion well worth it! Would be great if they had picnic table in the garden for us to sit at during our lunches also :-) for spring and fall :-)

They never disappointed me. My favorite are the chocolate chip cookies. Highly recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. Also that's not the only thing going on there. They also serve lunch as well

Clean place & very friendly staff. They are very busy at lunch time because the food is so good. I dropped in to buy a gift certificate for the Holidays. They sell casseroles and such for those nights you don't want to cook. All kinds of goodies and desserts that are... Oh my Goodness! Tasty items available for gifts. Look them up online or drop in and check them out.

There isn’t anything that I don’t love at Cater’s Market! Chicken salad, pimento cheese, shrimp and grits, chicken spaghetti… the list is endless! I recently moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I unexpectedly had a large group coming over, so I needed dinner, appetizers and snacks that I didn’t have time to prepare and I didn’t have time to drive to Cater’s, so I had an Uber driver bring me everything I needed from Cater’s market in Meridian to Tuscaloosa!!! Needless to say, everyone LOVED IT! I now have neighbors that drive to Cater’s to stock up on their delicious food!

I love this place. I just wish it was open longer hours. Everything there is delicious. They make the best chicken salad and pimento cheese. Their desserts are tops!

My first experience visiting was the absolute best experience ever! Amazing customer service, warm and friendly environment, and the food is absolutely delicious! I am absolutely in love with the shrimp and grits. I recently had a local event and used Cater’s Market’s catering services and it was a huge success!

At first when my friend bragged about the chicken salad I was not excited. Wow! Was she right, the food is so very fresh and scrumptious, you must try.

I rarely write reviews. Ever. But this place is SPECTACULAR. This was my first time visiting as I’m from out of town and didn’t know what to expect. OUTSTANDING service and the Grilled Chicken House Salad I had hit the spot. I’ll be back to patron next time I’m in Meridian. Well done.

Absolutely loved this place . We were traveling and found it online . The food was fabulous and the service was friendly and fast . My husband got shrimp and grits and I got chicken salad sandwich . We topped it off with great cheesecake . The atmosphere is cheerful and clean . Wow !!!! Can’t say enough good about the restaurant and the people made us feel so comfortable and welcome !! Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good local southern food !

Jamie and her staff always have smiles on their faces. The food is an excellent variety of salads to casseroles to take home for your family. 5 STARS and more if they were offered. Must try this upscale sandwich shop and gourmet food store!!

I can't say enough about Cater's Market! I loved my delicious breakfast sandwich and stayed and enjoyed the coffee and wifi...then I got the pleasure of meeting the owner and before I left she was packing up a cooler bag of goodies for me to get through the rest of my road trip...GREAT SPOT for a sit down meal, or grab and go! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Found my True Love 35 year's ago. Glad to see still open. Was A former Pizza Inn .great Place to buy Awesome sandwiches. Cakes ECT. Will be going back when in town . We now live in Pensacola Florida 💜

If you’re close to Meridian or just traveling through, this is the perfect place for coffee, dessert or a perfect sandwich. Lovely friendly people. Good place to eat or take out.
