This is our first visit to the restaurant and the food was delicious along with the customer service. We didn't know the business closed at 1:30 and we arrived at 12:30. We were able to still check out at 1:20. The cook and hostess ensured we were taken care of. I look forward to returning for another home cooked meal.

If my sweet potato fries were not quite this done, my meal would have been perfect. Chicken wrap and grape salad were delicious. If you are not a regular patron expect to be stared at by the regulars. Worth the trip, I'll be back.

Great little country style Cafe. Walk in hungry walk out full as a tick. If you like leisurely conversations, great food and service this is the right place to go. You cannot beat the prices for as much food as you get and that is a big plus. One thing I did really love other then the food was the history of the family of the Old store Cafe on the walls and shelves it was full of old pictures and items from the past. To me that shows how much love and dedication has been put into the place. We definitely will be going back more often.

Hadn't been since the renovation. The fried potatoes with onions and peppers was excellent as always. Blt was perfect as well. Service is excellent . If we lived closer, this would be our several times a week place.
For some reason we can't have a place stay open long enough or have the same quality food as old store around coats, Dunn, erwin area.

Disclaimer: this is a no frills, southern "hole in the wall" dining experience😀. We stopped here on our way back from the beach, and it was great! The burgers were hand-pattied, and everything was fresh and delicious! It is cash only, and the prices are very reasonable. They even let us sample some desserts being prepared for the upcoming Farmer's Market.
We'll definitely be stopping in on future trips. Nice folks, and great food!!!

We got a breakfast casserole and lunch (soup and sandwiches) for our Ladies meeting at church. The food was great and Brecklee was great to work with! She was easy to contact and responded quickly!

Whenever we travel along I 95 through NC we head to Newton Grove to have breakfast at Old Store Cafe. I can't choose just one thing to rave about because it is all delicious, though I have to admit that I two standout items are the sausage patties and country ham. The staff is always wonderful to us and typically remember who we are when we pull in. We usually eat outside with the dogs (when warm enough). Hands down my favorite place for breakfast ever.

Food is delicious, reminds me of my mother’s home cooking. Groups are welcomed and treated with respect and fast service. Cakes are made to perfection.

Old Store Cafe management just sent two large strawberry shortcakes to South Johnston in recognition of Teacher's Appreciation Week. The strawberries were fresh and sweet, and one piece was not enough!! Thank you for thinking about us and thank you for such a delicious treat!!!

Eating here is an unique experience. We have been stopping in for lunch for several years. The food is well prepared and the service is very personable. I can not put it in words adequate enough to describe how marvelous it is that a place like this exists in our cookie cutter world of restaurants!

Ordered the baked spaghetti, salad and bread for an office meeting today and the food was excellent. I highly recommend Old Store Cafe if you need a catered meal.

This is an awesome place for a awesome home cooked meal , the cook made some awesome food at a reasonable price, you get the bang for your buck our brunch was $18 which was rather cheap in my book for two
