We are local investors and close all of our transactions with Mary Knyff at Title Partners in Frontenac. Mary has closed approximately 1500 purchases and sales for us over the last 30+ years. She is the ultimate professional with knowledge, skills and great customer service that have helped to make our success in the real estate investment business possible. Mary and Dean do what it takes to make closings happen and they are a valuable, treasured part of our team! We recommend them highly and promise they will take great care of not only your buyers and sellers but also will take care of you!

After buying/selling multiple homes and working as a lender or alongside one for almost a decade, I can say that I've never found anyone to be as professional, knowledgeable or efficient as Mary Knyff with Title Partners in Frontenac. We used her during the sale of our last home. Not only were the fees competitive but the closing process was seamless and probably the least stressful part of moving! I highly recommend Mary to anyone buying or selling in STL!

I've closed about 100 transactions at this title company. They are the best in the business - quick, competitive fees and knowledgeable agents.

Do NOT have your closing with this company. Back in November, I was scheduled to close on my very first home. The week leading up to closing was a disaster. The trouble first started with incorrect figures on my final closing statement. For some reason, Title Partners was not properly calculating the figures and amount needed for closing. After a lot of back and forth between my Lender and Title Partners, I was not given the final closing statement until the late evening the night before closing.
On the day of closing, I showed up promptly at 10AM to complete my part of the closing and was told that the seller was in the process of completing their documents as well. At 4:47PM, I get a phone call stating that I am not able to enter the home because Title Partners incorrectly typed the account number; thus, did not properly wire the money to the seller and wires stop at 4PM. Upset about the situation, the sellers refused to allow me access to the home until they receive their money (which they wouldn't be able to get until late Monday morning as we closed on a Friday).

Legally, the sellers were allowed to do this as the mistake was on the part of Title Partners and the transaction was not completed because funds were not received.

This mistake (on the part of Title Partners) completely delayed me moving out of my apartment. I incurred additional moving expenses because of this mistake.

In addition, I was paying for a house that I couldn't use or access because of this mistake. As many people know, utilities, interest, etc. start the day of closing.

I have given Title Parters ample time to compensate and rectify the situation and they have blown me off since November. I didn't receive an apology for the mistake they made nor was there any follow-up to make things right. Terrible customer service, no attention to detail and no attempt to rectify the situation. Go elsewhere!!!!!!

I've closed on 2 houses here in the last 12 months. The first one was in May '16. Seemed like a good experience. In December I was trying to pay my property tax online (luckily it was not escrowed). I couldn't understand why it was still in the previous owner's name, so I emailed Title Partners asking about it and they promptly sent me a copy of the titling paperwork, along with a "I told you so" attitude. So I called the County and we started walking through the county records over the phone when it clicked that the paperwork submitted by Title Partners was submitted to the wrong county!!! So I email them again and ask if they titled it at the correct county and suddenly they were scrambling; with a rambling email about them contacting their lawyer about it. A few days later they were desperately trying to make me drop everything I had planned, so that I could go to their office at their convenience. So okay, I drop everything and swap my work day with another colleague, which wasn't so easy, and race down to their office. This is an 80 mile round trip. I get to the office and sign the new paperwork and I'm ushered out the door. No apologies, no thank you, nothing. Not that I expect a hug or anything, but an apology seems to be a universal way of dealing with a mistake. Well, this review is my response to a company that is unable to exercise due diligence (I mean, how can you possibly title a house in the wrong county??), and then lack the professional courtesy and acknowledge the mistake, and not offer an apology - like maybe I did THEM wrong somehow. Wow. As it is I just managed to get my taxes paid by the deadline. I wonder what would have happened if I had not been proactive in trying to pay my taxes before the due date...If you're looking for a Titling company, keep looking.

We have used this title company 3 times. The first 2 times everything went smoothly. The 3rd time, there were issues. When asking for answers they were very short and rude in response, contradict themselves in info given. Is it really that hard to tell the truth? We will not use this title company now or for future closing. There are too many options out there to use a title company you can't trust. There fees are higher than most also.
