J B's BBQ

This was my first time visiting JB's and I was very pleased. I ordered the half chicken platter with potato salad and fries. Let's just say, no to go box needed. Thanks to my dad for hyping this place up to try out. I will definitely visit again.

Locally owned restaurant that has some great fried catfish and rib tips. Just a mile off the interstate, and you can call in your order.

My favorite place in Hazlehurst to get fish! And they always cook it “extra crispy” for me! Yummy! My hubby loved the brisket!

Great BBQ! Best in Copiah County. Super nice staff. Not over sauced but you can order dry, meat is super tender. Worth a trip! Oooo, fish too!

The people here were very friendly! The food was probably the best I’ve had while being in Mississippi. The catfish and shrimp plate was amazing! The sweet tea was the absolute best!

Now I hadn’t eaten here in over three years because every time I went in the past, they made me eat the Lil rib tips and I don’t normally eat pork. However, I had a taste for bbq and when I stepped in the door, it felt like my mother’s house. I got the brisket plate and I swear it melted in my mouth! Seasoned to perfection, soooooo tender and moist. They moved to a bigger and more open location and I love it. But the food though, you can tell someone grew up as a pitmaster and didn’t stop until they perfected it. The owner reminds me of my dad when we had a restaurant growing up. He’s always on-site helping, and checking on the customers, making all who enter feel welcomed. This is a “must” visit location to eat if you are in the area and want some good soulful bbq. I think I’m about to be the first customer again today.

Amazing food and customer service

Such as pleasant surprise as we were on a 7 hour road trip. Stumbled upon this gem looking for somewhere to eat that wasn’t a fast food chain. It’s right off the hazlehurst exit and convenient. Food was delicious and quick. Service was super friendly. We will definitely be stopping here every time we drive through hazlehurst!

Best burger I've had in a very long time! Hubby said ribs were good but he finished my giant burger for me!

This was first time trying the food and it was excellent 👌. I had got the BBQ wings, fries and a loaded potatoe. My hat off to the chief plus the place is really clean. If you haven't went you missing out go holla at them.

Small place but great barbecue, pulled pork is good you get sides. I love the fries, you get a burger bun that comes with it that's toasted with I think garlic butter that's damn good. Yes I will be going back.

When I walked in I was impressed by the Decour and how clean everything was. The staff was very friendly and I met the owner. But the rib plate was awesome! You better believe I’m going back!

This place looked like a dive being from outta town we figured why not. This place was amazing. Food was incredible and the staff were very friendly. My buddy and I were so full we could barely walk.

When JB first started in Hazlehurst, he cooked on a wood grill and his ribs were not always cooked evenly. I took him to Jackson and we ate at a place that had a Southern Pride commercial cooker. He came home and bought two. One for his store location and one to travel and cook for those requesting on site preparation. As they say the rest is history, Good food that tastes good. What more can you say!! I might add that JB is a good businessman that takes care of his business.
