Don Cheques Taqueria

My wife and I ordered birria tacos to go via phone and when we arrived our food was waiting and still warm as though they timed our arrival perfectly. The location was well lit and we could smell the authentic aroma of sumptuous food before we opened the door. The restaurant was very clean and neat. The setup as far as tables, the different displays, music, and the bar was really cool. The overall atmosphere was impeccable. The host was very kind and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. My wife and I simultaneously agreed that we had found a new date night restaurant. It's definitely a hidden gem. ☆☆☆☆☆

I got the molcajete and was not disappointed at all! The food came out very quickly and was delicious. The staff was also very friendly! Definitely recommend this place for some quality Mexican food!

The Cheques Quesadilla with steak was so good & fresh. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes & quality. The host and server were so pleasant.

Jacob and girl waiter are awesome. Cool atmosphere; laid back, not too many eyes. More emphasis put on food too because cooks aren't swamped.

I've ordered a variety of items from their menu and they have all been exceptional. The service has been great on every visit and the atmosphere festive and fun. Don Cheques is a must visit every time I'm in Meridian.

I’ve eaten here multiple times. The prices are fantastic, the food is excellent, the service is wonderful. This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Please keep in mind that with it being authentic, most of the menu is in Spanish. However, please come here! Their Horchata is amazing and so is everything else on the menu. My favorite place to eat. Jacob, a server, has been nothing but friendly. Great place, great food, great people.

The food was so good, so authentic! I'm from California and I love Mexican food grew up on it even and this it's so so good I no longer home sick. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to know what Mexican food taste like, and none of this Tex-Mex we have around here.

100% the best Mexican food around Meridian. Totally worth every single penny! Its amazing yall, extremely fast service, clean, and the people are super sweet. We will be eating there from now on.

Great food. My wife had a total with chicharones, ham, chorizo, avocado, pineapple and greens. Very generous proportions. I had tacos -- lengua, tripa and al pastor. All on point.

Tried for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back! The birria tacos are delicious!

Hands down best authentic Mexican food in the area. You can taste that home made feeling that you don’t get in other restaurants.
