Holiday Inn St Louis SW - Route 66, an IHG Hotel

Was pleasantly pleased with this place. I normally won’t stay at a hotel unless it hats 4.2 or higher reviews, this one at this time is 3.9. The only reason we picked this place is because of the restaurant twisted tree located in hotel. Colleen checked us in and was great throughout our stay. We were sitting outside and she lit the fire for us, started drizzling and came in… she lit the fire place and give us controls to change tv in lobby. We really got to enjoy the property thanks to her. The room we got was pretty small but we just got the cheapest room there being we were only staying 2 days it was fine for just me and husband. We had the steak skewers in the hotel bar. And I wouldn’t recommend as they were so small! Skewer to me is a 4 bites of steaks not a 4 little nibbles lol Besides that the bar in hotel was very nice and comfortable. First night we were going to have a night cap after dinner in restaurant but the blond lady said she was closing at 925 (10 is what we were told). Next night went and had a curly brunette (sorry I can’t remember her name) and she was amazing. Made up for the very short response we got first night. She also made killer espresso martini and margaritas. All in all this hotel definitely needs a higher rating than 3.9, I would give it a solid 4.4. Will for sure be back.

My man Mark is the best front desk man ever. McDonald's shorted us our strawberry jelly. Called down and asked if they had any here, my man's says, "let me take a look and see, I'll call you back. " 30 seconds later he's at my door with 6 packs. That's what I call customer service excellence.

Upon arrival we were so excited to find that our hotel was clean, modern, well staffed and well priced. I wish every hotel we stayed at would be just like this one. It would make traveling much less stressful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Love this freshly renovated hotel. The decor is awesome with all the vintage Route 66 imagery. The new neon sign is cool. But the story behind it makes it WAY more cool!!! Easy access to the highway makes this an great hotel!

We had a great stay here! Nice, friendly staff, pretty lobby, rooms were stylish and clean and the bed was very comfortable with butter soft sheets. We brought our dogs and they gave us a ground floor room with hardwood floor that was an easy in/out for walks. Grassy areas around the side and back of the large parking lot were plenty of room to walk our small dogs around. Only issue was that people drive very fast through the parking lot and the restaurant side gets busy with cars so keep a lookout! Slight annoyance with the small half carts for bringing in luggage, we bring our dog crates and had to bring them in one at a time, but otherwise loading was easy. There was lot of nice seating in the lobby and people had small gatherings out there, could potentially be loud on a busy night but we were there mid-week so it was nice and quiet. The Twisted Tree restaurant attached to the hotel is fantastic but skip the breakfast at Wakey Wakey. Wish they had a regular hotel breakfast buffet instead! Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The staff is amazing here. We held the annual BNI Mid America Awards Gala. There were over 300 people and the everything moved swiftly and orderly. My company DJed the event and the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful! I definitely recommend their services. Happy to have been a participant!

It's your standard modernized Holiday Inn, rooms have a fridge/microwave/coffee and the beds are nice. Didn't interact with the front desk much but from what I did they seemed nice.

I have to say that this Holiday Inn was great! I have stayed in many other Holiday Inns and was very disappointed. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Diamond and she was courteous and efficient. My room was very clean and spacious. Throughout my stay here, everyone and everything were just amazing! The hotel is under renovations, but it is kept clean everywhere. The pool and the cabanas feel as you are at a resort! I want to also thank Mark on the night shift front desk for his hospitality and Kelly part of the housecleaning staff. They were absolutely fabulous! Next time I am in St Louis I will definitely be staying here! Thank you!

We checked in late this past Monday evening after a very long day of travel and Lucy (I believe that was her name) made us feel so at home and was SO welcoming and helpful! Absolutely one of the best front desk interactions we've had over the 200+ nights at hotels this year. The upgraded suite was a wonderful touch after a long day of travel. The renovations here are absolutely beautiful and we look forward to staying again! What a great little gem on 66! Thank you for making this stay so wonderful!

If you are going on a family trip this is the best hotel! This hotel has very fancy rooms and the bathroom was amazing. These beds were very comfortable. And if your bringing kids on a family trip this is the best place! The pool is 1-4 feet deep, and make-sure to bring marshmallows or some hot dogs, because there is a fireplace. I would honestly go here for a trip. 🥰😊☺ thank you 😊

One of, if not the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at.

The staff are great, it's clearly been recently remodeled and the bar is top nothlch, because it's the same as the Twisted Tree next door... a top tier steakhouse.

The bartenders are awesome as well.

I cant say enough good things about this place.

We recently stayed at this location and it reminded me of a book that I recently read, Unreasonable Hospitality. The hotel is obviously going through some updates and there is some noise and mess due to the construction, but the staff and management went out of the way to make sure we were accommodated during our stay.
The breakfast place, Wakey Wakey, was really good and the service was great. Such a surprise as an option for breakfast compared to the other hotels in the area! The place has a new bar area that looks like its going to be great too!
They provided extra towels for the kids to use at the AWESOME new pool area.
The new fitness center was great for me to sneak away for an hour to lift and clear my head. The place has a new bar area that looks like its going to be great.
I know that next time we need to stay somewhere in the St. Louis area, it will be here!!

The people who work here are so friendly! They loved my little dog every time they saw him!

This was a very nice hotel for the night. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff made Checking in and out simple and easy. The pool are was great. It had comfortable chairs and two fire pits. The location was in a good part of town so it is a must stay if you are looking for a hotel.

This hotel is wonderful! Location is key! Close to EVERYTHING in the STL area. Best steakhouse in town just right next door, beautiful fitness center, amazing pool (wish I was coming here more this summer), the staff is unbelievable always there with anything you might need! Yes the hotel is under construction (you may have to walk an extra 10 feet) but it's not a nuisance especially since I'm really not in my room throughout the day as I'm exploring the city.
The rooms are clean, bathroom is clean. There are several floors that are under construction and others that are not but don't be fooled the ones that are not are still clean & comfy!

Clean reasonably priced and in good location close to six flags. Can get a little noisy of there is an event there but even with that the area around the rooms wasn't overly loud. The rooms have laminate flooring which is great for cleanliness

I was in town to attend the funeral of one of my brothers. Normally, I would stay with my other brother when I came to town. Unfortunately, my other brother was out of town and hurring back home but was delayed due to car trouble. Needing a place to stay, I inquired at this Holiday Inn. Once they heard why I needed the room, the front desk staff bent over backwards to make sure that I got a room and even gave me a discount to help me out. I can't thank those ladies enough. They took a bad situation and turned it into a positive experience. Thank you to all.

Breakfast at Wakey was amazing. When booking hotel, select the $15.00 upcharge for breakfast to be included. Our meal was originally $63.00 but it was all included. No buffet. All made to order. It was so good.

Beds were terrible for hotel stay. Very hard. It hurt my hips.

The entire staff that was working went above and beyond to help us out. when the last hotel we had reservations at would not take cash, and our debit cards were not working. they all worked together as a team to take care of us and get us a room with smiles on their faces and excellent customer service. Rooms were clean and very well equipped. I would recommend this hotel based on the excellent customer service alone what great staff I can't say enough about them.

Very clean and quiet hotel. While we were there, the building was under a bit of construction but it didn't really bother us. Staff were all super friendly. They are pet friendly which we loved.

Very near a lot of shopping, restaurants, office park, and expressways. It was nice staying a little further outside the downtown area which is where we normally stay. We would return.
