Airworld Park

This is a beautiful little park. Views of the sunset and its reflection on the lake are always pretty. If you love nature, try to ignore the corporate surrounding and visit this park. The walking path is covered with goose poop so watch your step!

Clean Park well-maintained decent asphalt trail around to lakes about three-quarters of a mile

Got stuck in KC for a week in the Spring 2022, and I got to enjoy walking this "for Corporate tenants only" park during rain, slush, overcast, and beautiful sunshine, while staying at the nearby Airport Hilton. I saw two turtles in the water making babies, and when I returned a few weeks ago in September 2022, I went looking to see if they were sucessful. It was hard to find them, as the grass along the banks was many feet tall and thick. Yes, lots of goose poo here and there, but it was nice to see a few families with young children running in the grass barefoot with little fishing poles in tow. QUESTION: Does anybody know what happened to the business that occupied the large corporate facility (called "ATS") that is adjacent to the park and that appears ominously abandoned? There are some renovations going on inside, but it seems all but empty. It seems like a great facility to do bioengineering R&D, or something. Any info would be nice. Just out of curiosity. Thanks.
