Arrow Rock State Historic Site

Started at the visitor center, then enjoyed the hiking trails and finished with a stroll throughout sections of the village. It is a beautiful site to spend a day.

We spent most of our time at the museum in the visitor center. I found it very interesting and informative. Walking around the historic buildings was also very enjoyable.

By far one of the best maintained state parks in Missouri. A short walk from the camp site is a quaint little village with historic sites, ice cream, and diner. So much history surrounds you as you make the hike. The pond nearby is well stocked with fish as well. We caught several bluegill and bass. Wonderful playground for children on the way to the village.

We camped at the nearby campground only because it was at the stopping point for our travels. We were pleasantly surprised to find this historical village and great visitors center! Next time we will plan to go on a weekend, as a lot of the buildings are closed during the week. Also, they had some hiking trails that we did not have time to explore. Quiet , peaceful area rich in history. Love discovering new places to explore! Don't miss the visitor's center.

The first stop overnight for the people heading out on The Santa Fe National Trail. The little town has a couple stores and eateries and an excellent ice cream shop.

Beautiful area with well maintained properties. Easy to drive around and view if you are unable to walk easily but plenty of nice room to walk.
We happened to be there on a day when most places were closed but it was still enjoyable to see the outsides of the buildings and the park area.

The entire town is a Historic site! We went there to the Lyceum Theatre, which began in an old church. Over the years they built a theater onto the church and now the church is the lobby. This town is a beautiful place which is literally in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of beautiful buildings and houses in this town that use to set on the big muddy but the river changed corse now the Missouri River is about 2 miles away

Arrow Rock is a beautifully preserved town, much like a time capsule from the 1800's. It is an amazing look into an important river town settled as our forefathers expanded west into the frontier.

We stayed in Site 20 which had electric hookup. Nice shady loop with black top pads, some are pull through. From what I could see, some if not most, of the sites were unlevel. We had to use five of our leveling blocks on the front right tire and it was still not level. Only a 1 night stay so we were ok with it.

Arrow Rock is a neat little historic village, worth exploring, and part of it is incorporated into the state park boundaries. You could walk there, but there's a hill so driving would be better. The streets are narrow and parking might be an issue for anything larger than a Class B camper.

Very nice camping site, not too big. Bathroom is small but it works. Hot water.

Pretty cool little area, I sincerely wish we had more time to explore as I know we will most likely never be able to make it back. A lot of history and definitely a cute little town.

Arrow Rock is a hidden gem of a place. Lots of history and plenty of shops to explore, coffee, and restaurants. We go once a year. Good day trip.

Hidden gem in the state of Missouri, this is a stop worth making if you are in the area. The theater here is very nice and the food at the local restaurants is pretty solid.

Well preserved town with charm and character. Many celebrations throughout the year, Easter and Heritage Days are a couple of my favorites.

Absolutely a stunning place to visit. It feels like a place where you can disconnect from the world. Plan on visiting again soon.

Small quaint little town with a lot to offer. Plenty to do here anything from hiking, fishing, to shopping. The theater and museums are a must.

Camped here for our 21st anniversary. It was wonderful. Understand things are rough right now with the corona virus, but glad we were able to camp!

The park is very well kept & all so clean!

Great place to camp. Host could not have been nicer or more helpful. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Cool place
